Firefox drop down list of add-ons, add-ons entries disappear & must be reinstalled. This happens on my Android tablet 4.0.4. Works OK on 2.x.x

I have the latest version of mobile Firefox on Android 4.0.4 (tab). The drop down menu (from the three dots on the right of the URL bar) which is supposed to show my add-on selections (QuitNow, HomeLink, &Lastpass) does not always display them. If I reinstalled the add on, they will show for a short while; then disappear until I reinstall again. This doesn't seem to happen on my phone (Gingerbread); just on the 4.0.4 Galaxy tab.

This sounds like [http://bugzil.la/832990 bug 832990]. Does your affected device happen to have 'Don't Keep Activities' enabled in Android's Developer settings? If so, it is best to make sure that that feature is disabled as it can cause issues in many Android applications triggering undesirable effects.

Firefox drop-down lists make X server crash

Hey guys,
I am requesting for help because I am having a really annoying bug I can't find assistance for online.
When drop-down lists come up in firefox (such as the autocomplete when typing something on the search box), every now and then, it makes the X server crash. It is really not happening every time but it is enough to make the X server crash some at least once a day, often more. This also happens when such drop-down lists come up in Zotero, and add-on I am using.

I am not quite sure which logs should I be looking at nor where should I report this. Could someone help me figuring this out?

I am also having the drop down problem on my macbook, it's getting really annoying. On top of that, twice today (i just got the macbook three days ago) my keyboard will just stop working- i cannot type in firefox nor in finder or word.

Does Firefox for Android support drop-down list?

Some desktop version websites extensively use drop-down list on the navigation menubar. But the annoying thing about this is in current Firefox, I can't find a way to expand the list items only without also triggering the link right onto the caption of the list, thus jumping to the next page immediately. If there's indeed a way around that, how to do it?

Huh, In this case you devs are not at fault here.
That being said, it sounds really ridiculous that you guys made a web browser that can't do anything of a particular desktop function. If you guys want some implementing suggestion, Consider these 2:
1. Hold the Caption link on a dropdown menu, make the context menu appear, add another item at the bottom like "expand the menu" or something akin to that. tap it to expand the menu.
2. Single tap to expend the menu regardless of the link below, tap the same place again to access the link, tap anywhere else aside the menu to retract it.

Preselected values in drop-down lists

Hi everyone,
Some quick background before stating the issue: I've
developed a set of forms in ASP.NET working with a SQL Server 2000
db where my client can add, edit, and search records within their
intranet. When adding a record, they are making some selections
from a drop-down list where the values are dynamically populated
from a lookup table. There are three sections to the form and each
section gets its values from a different table. When editing a
record, the drop-down lists should show all the choices but
prepopulate the list with their earlier selection.
Here's the issue: everything is working just fine on my box
and is working 90% on my client's server. The problem is that when
editing a record, two of the three sections of the form are showing
the correct values. The third section is showing the first choice
in the drop-down list rather than what was recorded in the db.
Again, this is not happening in my development environment.
It's only happening on my client's environment. I've triple-checked
the code and confirmed that the datatypes in their tables match
what I've got set up in my db. The fact that these pages are behind
my client's firewall make the usual trial and error kind of
troubleshooting very difficult.
This is very mysterious. Any suggestions for what I can check
and how I can troubleshoot this?

In case anyone else comes across this problem, it seems that
deleting and recreating the table solved the problem. I renamed the
original table and compared it to the one I recreated and they
appear to be identical but nevertheless that was the
solution.

ODBC driver does not appear in drop down list

We created a system DSN using Unix ODBCConfig and the drivers
supplied by IBM in its iSeries Access package. We are trying to
connect to our AS400. We now have Coldfusion installed on SuSe 9.3
Open Enterprise Server. Coldfusion runs fine. When we try to add a
data source in the ColdFusion administrator, the system DSN driver
that we configured does no show up in the drop down list. Did we
miss a step? We have done this succesfully with coldfusion on
Windows 2003 server.

What version of ColdFusion are you running? I know with MX 7,
your individual DSNs may not be listed, ODBC or otherwise, only the
driver types. You are prompted to provide a valid Data Source name,
then to select a valid driver type, which in your case would be
ODBC Socket.

I have just developed my first set of portal pages displaying the results of Bex queries and query views in the SAP Netweaver portal. I developed the pages using web application designer. Each web template created with W.A.D is using a query or query view. In one template I have that is using a query view I am using a variable in my Bex query. This variable is of type customer exit, is set to variable is ready for input and calls some ABAP code which returns the current fiscal week number and year. When I run the query or query view in isolation through Bex analyzer the variables gets populated correctly. In my web template I have associated my variable from my query view to a drop down list box. However when I run the Iview created from this template the query results get refreshed but my drop down list box does not, it still shows last weeks week number. How do I get the drop down list box to refresh with the latest result from my customer exit variable?

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to filter a calendar based a look up column in SharePoint 2013.
Calendar View not support OOTB filters connection. it is disabled for calendar view, you need to change view(not calendar view) so OOTB filters works and get connected to your view.
You can achieve this using combination of jQuery and SharePoint OOB techniques.

In your view create a Value Node of cardinality 1:1 (say of name DataSource ).
Inside DataSource Create another Value Node of cardinality 0:n say Employee .
Create a Value Attribute of Java_Simple_Type say EmpName.
In Interactive Form Properties bind DataSource node under DataSource Element Properties.
Open Interactive form to Edit.
In adobe form designer go to left side window among three windows available.
Go to Data View Tab.
Here u will see your context structure.
click on EmpName under Employee Node and drag and drop it to middle window which is adobe design time window.
By this u will get a UI Element with drop down list and is automatically bound to context also.
Save and Deploy.

Hi gurus,
Is it possible to create a hierarchy in the dashboard prompt drop down list
For example i have 2 paramater fields :
Drop Dow List - 1 Department and
Drop Dow List - 2 Job Title
Drop Dow List - 2 is having dependency on Drop Dow List - 1, so when user choose the Department, Drop down list -2 (Job Title) value will change accordingly
Can we do this using a dashboard prompt? Pleaseee advice

Use presentation varaible to capture the department value and use this as an input to restrict the "Job Title" choosing "SQL Results" under Show option with a query like this SELECT Employee."Job Title" FROM "Account Lists" where Employee.Department = '@{department}'
Ensure the department prompt has a default value set in
Also the new revised options for job title only comes up after you hit "Go" (It doesnt refresh automatically)
As an alternative, you can also try out keeping them as 2 different dashbaord prompts. On hit of first Go, the next gets refreshed

I just need to display a typical drop down list with values "A", "B", and "C". When I do this with a ComboBox there is a description needed, which I do not have/want to display. How can I create this simple drop down list?

You may use A B C for the values and descriptions. I think everyone uses this solution.
Well, everyone, but SBO itself! There are normal drop down lists all over the place (e.g. look at the Activity form).

There is a scenario that thousands of values in the drop-down of a parameter. Scrolling through the large drop down list is slow and cumbersome. Is there a way that we add a search feature in the report, so that it can filter down the values in the drop
down list to a smaller list of values?
Solution
To achieve this requirement, we can add a parameter with multiple keywords ahead, then all of available values which are begin with the keyword will display in the parameter list. In this scenario, we can create cascading parameters. One is a keyword parameter,
and the other parameter is based on the keyword to display the available values.
In order to enable the user to type multiple keywords, we can use the query below to create a split function which takes the list and the de-limiter as input parameters and splits all the values in the database:

Hmmm. This didn't work. I even re-booted, and Firefox still doesn't show the search engine.
It was actually an update to an earlier engine, and I foolishly removed the old version rather than just updating it.

My problem is that I'm working with the free version of Form Central - I'm willing to purchase a version. Earlier in my form I have States as a drop down menu (see below) but can't copy it to make it appear later in the same document. I was trying to avoid recreating the entire form. in ABAP, read the table (keys and values) and write it to the ITS context, e.g. with field names KEY and VALUE.
On the ITS template, write code like this:
