Firefox freezes and stops responding even after reinstall

Hi, I've been a Firefox user for a decade, despite three attempts to switch to Chrome. But this is getting on my nerves. I'm in the middle of something and suddenly the browser freezes - I can move the cursor over whatever bookmarks, menu items, tabs or content but nothing responds. It's exactly as if the entire browser had turned into a printscreen. I get no crash report afterwards, I just close and restart it. This has been going on for quite a few months now. I'm using the latest version by the way.

The user.js file '''does not exist by default'''. If you create the file, forget it, if you have not create the file then delete the User.js file, to see if the problem goes away (some programs create and write in the file also).

Sorry, I should distinguish between slow loading and manual reloading.
I understood your problem to be that Firefox never finished loading the page, i.e., some part of the page was loading too slowly.
By reloading, I meant Ctrl+r (or the reload button), to manually reload the page. You can disregard any cached files and reload all content fresh from the server by adding the Shift key, i.e., Ctrl+Shift+r (helpful when specific sites do not load correctly).
If the page is automatically reloading itself over and over, that sounds like a completely different problem.

Start synchronizing, ran fine for a while, stopped again with error with different exact sequence number, repeat again same as step 1.......
how can we stop this and make it run without this error?

This means that your database is out of sync. You can use the continue on data consistency error profile to skip errors. However, Microsoft recommends that you use -SkipErrors parameter cautiously and only when you have a good understanding of the following:
What the error indicates.
Why the error occurs.
Why it is better to skip the error instead of solving it.

Help please! I have been using Mountain Lion for a few weeks but Finder, System Prefferences and the App Store won't load and/or keep crashing even after reinstalling the OS. How do to fix it?

You need to check to make sure you are actually connected to the network. Tap Settings > WiFi >and then tap the blue ">" next to the network name with checkmark. You should see a complete set of IP address but if the router didn't issue you an IP address properly, you will see your touch IP address start with 169.x. If this is the case, you are connected to the internal network but not to the web.
First thing to do (while you are on that screen) is tap "Forget Network". Then turn WiFi off. Turn it back on and, if needed, tap Other and re-enter your network information. If you continue to have problems, check with your IT department on Monday.
In the meantime, your laptop and iTunes can be used to purchase apps and music. Syncing them with your touch is a great way to get them installed while you are waiting for the answer on your WiFi problem.

Itunes freezes and stops responding after about 1 minute of being open

This problem has been happening only recently. It just freezes, I logged onto my computer yesterday and it did the same thing. And it's doing it again today!! its really frustrating! I just re-installed itunes, the latest version for windows. My computers specs can handle it no problem..
The song i am listening still plays, but just the program stops responding
I only have like 103 songs.
I got an ipod classic about a month ago and converted some videos for it, just letting you know incase that is the problem. but this never happened when i got my ipod or before.. only just now.
so whats going on and how can i fix it?

Firefox opens but completely unresponsive even after reinstall

I'd been having problems with Firefox hanging. It didn't appear to have anything to do with any of my addones, as I continued having problems even after disabling them--first one at a time, then all of them. Now after updating to the new version, (thinking that might be the problem) it will open but then immediately hangs (I am unable to even try any of the "fixes"): Error mesasge in toolbar "Firefox is not respponding". I tried completlyuninstalling and reinstalling and that didn't work either. Now the first time I uninstalled and reinstalled I was given the option of deleting my presonal preferences as well, essentially reinstalling a factory fresh Firefox browser. I said no,. Well when the reinsiall didn't work, I tried uninstalling again but this time the option didn't even come up. I have also tried a systm restore without effect. In addition I have run a complete virus scan with AVG and I'm coming up clean. There are several odd things about this glitch: At some point an addon that synchonized my FF favorites with my other browsers erased the back ups on the other browsers (it isn't supposed to do that if shut off as far as I know or I would have chosen a different method). I can't locate my FF favorites in order to save the file (I really want to keep them). The favorites bar is still on the toolbar, so they do seem to be intact on FF, of course I can't access anything. I am completely flummoxed given that even uninstalling and reinstalling hasn't worked. I am not getting any other error messages other than that the browser is not responding. I am currently using Windows 7 on a gateway netbook. The only thing that might possibly have anything to do with this is that at some point some program changed my home page and search engine to Delta. I suspect it was Vuze, but I had selected no and aborted the installation. I still had to manually change them back to my personal defaults. Obviously that shouldn't have affected my browser in this way. The only two other programs I've installed within this time period were from Giveaway of the day and Games giveaway of the Day both reputable websites. None of the feedback from these two programs indicated anything about hijacked home/search engines from other users--who would most definitely be kicking up a fuss. So I have two basic issues: Fixing FF and saving my favorites from FF. Tried again, making sure that the AVG was off, and while it didn't hang the first second, it started hanging as soon as I opened a web page or the add on page. Also note that I cannot install the troubleshooter. I saved the program but it won't install or even apparently recognize that I have FF installed.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Suddenly iphoto freezes and stops responding when I connect my cameras to download both photos and video. I've never had a problem downloading from these cameras before today. I have both a Nikon D700(SLR) and Kodak HD Zi8(pocket camecorder).What to do?

I've tried checking for updates (none necessary), running v 9.1.5
Everytime I open it and connect a camera I have to force quit because it stops responding and won't upload.
It's uploaded from both these cameras before with no problem.
How can I fix this?

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

My flash player plugin has completely stopped working even after reinstalling firefox and flash

i have updated flash player, updated firefox, updated windows and pretty much anything i can think of . even then still i kept seeing the grey box telling me flash plugin has crashed. so i reinstalled flash and reinstalled firefox and still keep getting the same grey box saying flash has crashed

I just downloaded OS x mavericks. In this new safari browser when i start text to speech whole safari just freezes and stops responding and after that i have to force restart it. Any solution for that?

Its really great to just select a text and let your PC read it out load and i love that feature. But it is just not working for me in the new safari.

When in Safari, my page also jitters as I scroll and the doc also jitters when I pass the cursor over it.... have not yet found a solution......

Labview freezes, and stops responding each 10th run or so?

We have a fairly complicated labview program that most of the time runs normally, but once every 5th to 10th restart or so the program freezes so much that it cannot be stopped even by pressing the red stop button "abort execution", I have to use ctrl-alt-del to shut down the program. I heard something like this can occur if you have loops without time delay, so I included such in all loops.
The program is a forever loop of a stacked sequence 1-5, and the last thing that happens in one run is a button that finishes a loop in the 5th sequence. When I press this button is stays in the "on" position, and everything is stuck.
We run labview 8.2 on winXP, and the program is not compiled, but run in the development system.
Any ideas? Why does it only happen sometimes?

Itunes stopping working even after reinstall - help please

I have not been able to access / watch anything stored on my iTunes on my laptop. every time I click on it I get the following message: ITUNES HAS STOPPED WORKING a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available.
Can anyone help? I've tried the QTMovieWin.dll advice but its still not working?

It sounds like you have already done some great troubleshooting. Did you remove not only iTunes but all of its components in Windows as well when you reinstalled? When you remove and reinstall iTunes, all components must be removed in order to ensure it works properly when reinstalled. If you have already done this, please let me know. Firefox doesn't open up even after reinstalling

The window of the program opens but none of the icons are visible. I tried to reinstall Firefox but it didn't help. I don't get the message about any error. My operating system is Windows 7.

Firefox crashes upon start up even after reinstall

I uninstalled, removed Mozilla folder from program files. Downloaded again and tried to restart. Crashed again. This is the report it tries to send over and over again:

Every time that I want to go full screen with an enbedded video firefox freezes and doesn't expand

Every time I try to go full screen with an embedded video or video game Firefox freezes and stop working

1. Update firefox to the latest version 2. and disable real player in menu->addons->plugins.
