Firefox get low performance after 2 years runing as well
hello all,
in advence i am happy to be one of users of mozilla firefox.
really i find it a stable internet navigator.
after two years using mozilla firefox recentely it became very very low performance on
facebook and youtube and some websites that used a lot of JS
please i dont wanna delete any internet history or bookmarks
waiting for answers

but don't know how to get alerts and configured related to performances of VMs and Hyper-v host.

Very Low Performance And Stability gaps
Hello, first of all, sorry me because of my low level english.
I have recent bought new pieces for my sistem, my older CPU was a Duron 1300 (overclocked 1400) in a Gigabyte Ga-7zxr mobo with 512 SDRAM 133 mem.
I choosed a MSI mobo, the KT6 delta (sr), a 2600 XP+ and 512 DDR 333, with no knowed fabricant.
I get a lower performance in my new system than the older, isn't normal.
I have so much questions, please reply me so much you can, i'm getting crazy
I've read in other posts some specifications about Amp' consume in the mobo.
Where can i see it? Say me and i'll post it.
My 2600 xp+ is the model 8 (not the actual 10), it have 256 Kb cache instead 512 and run over 200 mhz over the model 10. 167 x 12.5.

Well, go with mobo problems.
My monitor refresh (like if I change the resolution) so often, I don't know why.
In the dxdiag, in the 3D test, i get a cube no well showing, i only see a bad image, like if the cube is turning hyper velocity.
In all sandra test i have a performance according with my system, but when i get to ride games, i get low performance than in my older system
My mem isn't kingston and isn't of any knowed mark. I only could to get kingstom memory instead, i would do it? is really so recomended?

Firefox was SLOW after LAST "3 UPDATES"

THIS and LAST 3 UPDATES if passwords are NO Longer be recovered then SCREW FIREFOX and I WILL tell people HOW BAD firefox has become.
AFTER about 20 YEARS of HOW GREAT it is and BETTER than IE and Google Chrome!

Thank YOU!Wade, there is a way "undo" the Refresh but it does have a lot of steps. See whether you can do this on your own.
As you may have noticed, the Refresh/Reset feature copies your settings (profile) folder to the desktop into a folder named "Old Firefox Data".
Check inside "Old Firefox Data" folder for a folder with a semi-randomized name. If there's only one, that probably has your old settings and add-ons. If there's more than one, you'll want to work with the one that was updated most recently.
Once you have identified the profile folder you want to restore, here is my suggested "old profile resurrection procedure":

uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. I keep getting this message after closing Firefox and attempt to reopen-Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.

After years of owning all things Mac, I am finally trying to use iChat, and can't get it to work. I am using gmail, and I see my buddy (no camera icon next to her name), but all I can do is send a message--the video and audio chat icons are gray, as is inviting to a video chat under Buddies. My buddy has the same problem as I. We are able to do video chat through gmail, but I had hoped to use iChat. I am using OS 10.6.8, iChat v. 5.0.3. What am I missing?

iChat will Video chat to another iChat in a Jabber Buddy List (Google run a Jabber server for GoogleTalk)
However it will not Video to the Web Page login to iGoogle or the Web Mail Page login. (where people can Google Chat as it were in a Web Browser).
Nor does it video to the Google Talk Stand alone app for PCs or any other Jabber apps on any platform.
iChat uses a connection Process called SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) which is also used by other VoIP devices.
Jabber/XMPP invited the Jingle Protocol for Jabber Applications.
Google have included this in their Standalone app and the Plug-in for Web Browsers on both PCs and Mac (you can get this as a Standalone Plug-in or as part of Chrome)
More on this here This article has been changed several time in the recent months. It now claims a greater involvement by Google in writing the Jingle Library (Although now Google's version does not work with the others)
This tends to mean that using the web Login to Google to Chat also cannot video chat to other Jabber apps that are using Jingle.
If your Buddy is using iChat then check the Video Menu has two items to Enable Camera/Video chat and Microphone/Audio chats are ticked.
In the View Menu the Show Status Items should be ticked (Selecting them toggles the tick and the function On or Off)
It could be Internet speed but at this stage I would doubt this at this stage.

I have had 4 mac computers and after years of downloading songs from itunes, I keep recieving a message that I need to set up an account. when I try to make a new account, i get an error that says i already have an account.
Have you tried checking the Store drop-down menu in the iTunes interface to see if you are signed in the existing account?

Streaming radio just stopped working Firefox version 8, but I can get everything else not on stream to work. Add on's are up to date. I can't recall if it happened after the Firefox up date or after listening to last.fm or what prompted it. How to fix this?
I installed-enabled MS win media player firefox 1.0.0.8, i still did not get streaming, error box comes up and says 'stream load error', the 'windows media test' thing did not work, i tried iheart radio-no luck, so i disabled win media player plug-in dynamic link library 3.0.2629 and tested and still did not work, i also have plug ins: silverlight 5.0.61118.0 and quicktime 7.6.9 7.6.9.0 enabled. I don't know why all of the sudden i have a stream problem with firefox, yesterday, i tried on IE which i never use and had no problem with it. i will try to do more trouble shooting and see, its really frustrating, if can't figure out, i guess will have to revert back to IE which i really don't want to do, but---oh well. thx for help.

I'm not sure but maybe it often happens after monitor goes to Screen Saver or after it turns off...

After years of no problems I sddenly can't print photos. When I select print I get the message "There are no themes located. Until at least one theme has been installed this feature will be unavailable. What are themes? How do I install them? Why has this problem suddenly arisen?
Re-installing does not affect your Library in any way. You don't delete it, only the app.
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.
