Firefox Groups installed but Right-click on Tab shows no menu. I have one rogue AppTab I am trying to delete and cannot. Any answers?

How do I get a menu upon right-clicking a tab in Groups (Panorama)? Thanks in advance.

New Groups. No you are correct. Haven't added any recently, so hadn't noticed.

• Firefox 6. When right clicking a tab no drop-down menu appears. Why do I not have the option to pin, unpin, etc.

I'm using Firefox 6 with all current updates. This is on a desktop pc running Windows XP (Service Pack 3).
At some previous time I was able to pin tabs - I pinned three. Lately I do not have a drop-down menu when right clicking on a pinned or unpinned tab. The feature is just not there.

Try the Firefox SafeMode. <br />
A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons. <br />
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)
# You can open the Firefox 4/5/6/7 SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
# Or use the Help menu item, click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled... while Firefox is running. <br />
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.
If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

• 20.0.1 Update: right-click on page shows ALL menu options, many (all?) don't work, no "view page source", no "open in new tab"

after update to 20.0.1 a few hours ago, right click shows ALL menu options, many (all?) don't work, like "view page source", "open in new tab" etc. etc.

I'm having the same issue on Firebug 1.11.3....The "more robust" right click menu does return when I disable the extension. Would you recommend downgrading Firebug to 1.11.2? Hate to have to turn off Firebug "except when I'm working" but either option seems to have both pros/cons.
This behavior happens on both PC and Mac (although the above information was tested on my PC - I'll have to check the Mac later and see if Firebug is doing the same thing there. I believe I have the most recent Firebug there, too)
The PC is on Firefox 20.0.1, Mac should be as well.
Thanks

• Right click on Tab showing error in new window

Hi All,
I have an application (built on template 20) fine and running on oraclecorp server, but the problem is with the TABs.
When I right click on the TAB and click on the option 'Open in New Window', it results in a new window and the appropriate Java script is called, but with Error in the page.
For Instance, when I right click on the tab 'Admin', it opens new window with the URL to be :
javascript:doSubmit('T_ADMIN');
But it says 'page can not be displayed' , 'Cannot find server'.. instead of rendering the specific page in the new window.
Could you help me in fixing the issue!
Appreciate your help!
Kind regards,
Anasuya

Hi Anasuya,
javascript:doSubmit('T_ADMIN'); is not a URL, so the browser won't be able to display it. You would need to change this to use a proper Apex URL instead. This wouldn't be easy as the tab template settings on page templates are designed to use the javascript format.
It is possible to do, but it would mean assigning an alias to every page, making the tab names the same as the aliases and then adjusting the tab template settings. Alternatively, you could switch to using a List instead as this is designed to ourput URLs - but, again, you would probably have to adjust the List template and/or page template to lay out the list to make it look like the tabs.

• Logitech Mouse - Right-click won't show context menu - only app switcher

I use a Logitech MX 600 mouse. In LCC, I've set the Right Button to Click as the assigned action and Right Click as the action performed. When I click the right button, it shows the app switcher.
I can see the context menu if I Control - Right Click.
As an experiment, I programmed the Thumb Back Button to Click and the action performed as Right Click and it also shows the app switcher.
In this mode, I can see the Context Menu if I Control - Thumb Back Button.
I'd like to see the context menu with Right Click without holding down Control.
I'm running Tiger with Logitech LCC software.
Thanks,
bg

Get rid of LCC and use SteerMouse instead - VersionTracker or MacUpdate.

• Hai i am using firefox 3.6.When right clicking on a link and a window opens up, i want it to ask me "Open Link in New tab" first, not second.

hai i am using firefox 3.6.When right clicking on a link and a window opens up, i want it to ask me "Open Link in New tab" first, not second.

First, you are using a version of Firefox that is very old and outdated. Please update to at least Firefox 3.6.27, or more preferably, update to Firefox 10.0.2. There are lots of bug fixes, security improvements, and much improved performance in Firefox 10.
After you do that, try seeing if you are still having a problem. If you are, is this that when you try to select "Open in a new tab" it opens in a new window instead? Or something else?

Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
*In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
*In previous Firefox versions, click on the Firefox button at the top left of the Firefox window and click on Help (or click on Help in the Menu bar, if you don't have a Firefox button) then click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode <br>(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".<br>

You can't do that without an extension.

• Hi, I have a 7th Gen Ipod Nano and I am unable to delete songs. When synced on the PC I can select tracks but right clicking on them does not give the ability to delete. I have downloaded the latest 1.0.3 software but it did not help.

Hi,  I have a 7th gen ipod nano and am having a problem with deleting songs. I can select the track in my ipod's library but right clicking does not bring up the option to delet. I have downloaded the latest update for the ipod but this has not solved the issue. Can anyone suggest a remedy? thanks

Hello Lor100,
In order to delete or add individual songs from and to your iPod, you'll need to enable 'manual mode' on the device. This will allow you to add and remove exactly the content you desire.

How do I determine which plugins firefox will install BEFORE I click 'install missing plugins'?
I don't just want to install some unknown plugins. Isn't there a way to determine the plugins that firefox will isntall? Can't it present me with a list of plugins that is going to be installed, before I click the button?

Did you look in the Windows Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs?

• Right Click - no Tab option

I just updated Safari and now I have lost the option of right-click New Tab. All I have is Open in New Window.
Does anyone know how I get back the option for Open in New Tab?
Muz

Ok...
Go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. If Safari tabs are ok, then move that .plist file to the Trash.

Sometimes just restarting your Mac can help too.
