FIREFOX HANGING: I still have problems with Firefox hanging, in the middle of operations (ie typing an email), or switching tabs. Have tried all suggested remedies in the Firefox help section.

I have updated all plug-ins, cleared download history, deleted sessionstore files but this still happens regularly - every few minutes.

I think that I have found a solution: [ha ha ha ha ha h a]
I am running XP SP3
1 - uninstall Firefox - whatever version you have
2 - search for ANY file related to 'Mozilla' that is left behind BECAUSE much crap is left & DELETE it
3 - then search & DELETE every 'Mozilla' entry in the registry - DELETE THEM
4 - then reinstall the latest VSN without any add-ons or plug-ins - only install them when they are asked for - like Flasplayer etc

After reading all the suggestions, i have reset and all data and media has been removed. Upon restart, I get the "connect to itunes" icon, however cannot proceeed past this page, as the ipod is not recognized on my PC, nor itunes. I've been using Firefox for a long time with a great pleasure of course. I've got today the same problem as you: my profile can't be loaded, missing or inaccessible. I tried all solutions but it was not OK.
Finally, as yesterday I've played with hiddens files in my home directory, I noticed that my "/home/myuser/.cache" was marked with a little padlock: it was access protected. So I just execute:
'''sudo chown myuser /home/myuser/.cache -R '''
and now Firefox is working fine.

If your Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons, you have to contact Apple Support. Only the Account Security Team can activate it again. See this webpage on how to contact Apple Support in your country: There are either telephone numbers given or an email form:

I just found this....and it works....and it's legit.
1.     Reboot computer or use Activity Monitor to force quit any prior Adobe Flash installation process that may be still running
2.     Download Adobe Flash update using this link (assuming you are using Safari or Firefox): Flash Player for Safari and Firefox - NPAPI
3.     Mount flash player by clicking on flash drive icon on desktop
4.     Right click on Flash file
5.     Choose 'Show Package Contents'
6.     Open 'Contents' then 'Resources'
7.     Run file 'Adobe Flash Player.pkg'
8.     Reboot computer.

It isn't the installation of the Adobe Download Assistant which can cause this problem it is where you select to download the install files too. The Adobe Download Assistant would be installed to your Program Files/Applications folder and install files would be downloaded to your user folder, by default, or your desktop.
Alternately you can intitate a direct download by following the steps listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.

Conversion Log ends with "flattening 3gpp files, removing j2k files...An error was encountered in the sqlite database: unable to open database file
conversion log: Conversion Failed.

Log says “unable to convert SQLite db” and then “Conversion failed”. This is before it does anything with specific images. The line right before the above is “gpp files flattened . . .” which I believe are sound files

I can't send email in Thunderbird and I have tried all suggested fixes I can find!

I moved Thunderbird from my old MacBook Pro to a new MacBook Pro (I have done this before with no problems).
I updated Thunderbird on both laptops before I did this - to version 31.0
The new machine's running Mavericks 10.9.4
I started to notice intermittent problems with sending email - this seemed to free up when I opened up my BT email account (the account that 'feeds' Thunderbird) and then resent the email in Thunderbird.
This 'fix' has now stopped working and all I continually get when trying to send is the message:
'Send Message Error
The message could not be sent because connecting to SMTP server mail.btinternet.com failed.
The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections.' (etc.)
I checked with both Mozilla and BT forums/help pages, then went to Thunderbird>Tools>Account settings>Outgoing Server(SMTP)>Edit
I then changed the settings to those recommended by both BT and Mozilla:
Server Name: mail.btinternet.com
Port - 465
Security - SSL/TLS
Authentication - normal password
User Name - (my user name)
I also tried many variations (including the original settings)
Server Name: mail.btinternet.com
Port - 587
Security - none
Authentication - password transmitted insecurely
User Name - (my user name)
I tried deleting my password and then doing the above all again.
I tried turning the router off and back on and doing the above all again.
Nothing - apart from not being able to send email Thunderbird's working fine with incoming, I really think I've tried everything I can. Can I delete my prefs - will this help? Is there anything I've missed? I've wasted 4 hours and it feels like 4 days!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BT won't deal with this - they redirect me to a 'partner' who want to charge to discuss the problem. Nice, eh!

Stuck at "accessing itunes store" have tried all suggestions so far and nothing has worked..

when i open itunes i am infinetly stuck at "accessing itunes store" during which it will not allow me to authorize my computer, sign in, etc. . So far i have tried restarting my computer, cmd command, re-install, unistall qucik time player/safari, reset router. i am not sure what else there is to do for this problem. none of the other threads have helped me at all. what else is there to do to fix this?

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I have tried all suggestions to have my home page in english. All setting show english, but not only my home page shows me in the Nederlands, but others too.

I have checked all my settings, and they are correct, but my home page (yahoo) has me in the Nederlands using their language. Not english. I have to click the USA tab several times to bring up the USA. Then when I go to another website occasionally it returns to the foreign language. What can I do?

By 'tried every suggestion' you mean ... ?
If it says 'open' in the App Store then that implies that it's still installed on your iPad - I assume that it still says 'open' after doing what Meg suggested. Does it appear on your iPad's multitasking bar, and if so have you tried closing it via that and seeing if it works when you re-open it ?
To close an app via the multitasking bar : double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the Candy Crush app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
