Just installed Firefox 4. It hangs when I open any website and type in, for example, an ID, or even just click on something, for example, "Compose", in my webmail site.

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or Google's "Browse By Name".

My Firefox no longer works, it will not go to any website and offers the message "The proxy server is rejecting connections". I had the same problem in IExplorer but was able to fix it. I did not choose a proxy server, ever. How do I fix this in Firefox?

I changed out my wireless router, from a Linksys to a Netgear. Everything seemed to work fine, but shortly afterward Firefox could not be used to find any websites, and gave me the message above. Here is how you troubleshoot a password problem.
Go to your email providers web mail page and verify that you have a working username and password by logging into your account there. If you cannot log in there, look for the link to reset your password. Your email password is administered with your email provider.
Once you have a working password you need to remove any stored passwords in Thunderbird and replace with the new, working password.
From the menu bar select''' Tools-Options-Security-Passwords-Stored Passwords'''
Remove the passwords for the problem account. Close Thunderbird and restart it. You will be asked for a password. Enter the new password.
No menu bar with Tools? Press the '''alt '''key.
FYI: Thunderbird settings are stored in a different file from the program. Removing the program and reinstalling just keeps you busy for a little while and rarely fixes anything. As you have seen the old settings are picked up when Thunderbird is reinstalled.

Oops - for some reason, this problem now seems to have gone away. May have had something to do with Flash. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Firefox downloads a ".php" file when I browse certain websites. I'm on a Mac and running OS X 10.6.4

Firefox is automatically downloading ".php" files when I browse certain websites.
Without permission, it just simply downloads the files and prompts me to indicate the program I would like to open the file with.
I work for a school district and Firefox 4 was installed in 4 other computers and it did the same thing with all of them.
I then reverted to the previous version of Firefox and continued to have the same problem.

When I google any topic and try to open teh weblink in fireox it opens some other link always. I think some malware links. Firefox version is 24.0.

Firefox needs to close and I can't load Firefox until I close it or reboot. Firefox appears not to be running and is not listed when I press "Ctrl-alt-delete."

Message says that Firefox needs to close. It does not appear to be running even when the "Taskmaster" (Ctrl-alt-delete) is displayed. The message says to close Firefox or reboot my computer. It happens constantly, even though I have closed Firefox, already. It appears to happen most often when I reach a page that refuses to respond to any mouse clicks, although, I can close the page (x). I, then, I cannot open Firefox until I reboot.

WSA is not getting WCCP traffic and cant browse any websites

We have WSA configured for central office users web traffic control and its working fine. We also want to use the branch users to controler their web traffic using the same WSA. We have added the branch network subnets to existing WCCP ACL which is configured on 6509 core switch and could see http/https hits coming from branch subnets.
We have created new Identity (with no authentication) and added the branch subnet to it and created new access policy and use the same identity. However users are not able to browse any website when we added the branch subnets to existing WCCP ACL. When we did packet capture on WSA for one of the PCs IP address on branch network there is no packet reaching on WSA. However when we did policy trace on WSA for the same branch IP address we could see the it was hitting correct policy and identity where allowed website is passing and blocked site is blocked. However users are not able to browse for any websites.
Not sure where the problem is and appreciate if someone can guide us or give some troubleshooting steps to verify the configuration.

Thanks for your response. Actually IP WCCP redirect out is already there on the interface connecting to firewall. Since we cant have WCCP redirect in on every users SVI we have used the firewal connecting interface as one gateway.
Since we already use wccp redirect out we can't use the wccp redirect in connection on the WAN connecting interface. I have attached the network topolgy for better understanding. Also attached is the policy-trace output where I could see its hitting the correct Access policy. However im not sure what there's no packets found on the packet-capture output taken from WSA.
the issue is that while the policy are intact, when I add the branch router to wccp ACL they cant access any of the websites. Not sure whether issue on WSA policy or WCCP config...??

Ending the Firefox program or process with the Windows Task Manager "looks like" a crash. The proper way to exit Firefox is click Firefox button > Exit (or File > Exit, if using the Menu Bar).

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults.

I fixed it!!! Following advice from similar posts, I searched the hard drive for "sessionrestore.js" in my Firefox Profiles folder (you'll need to enable viewing of hidden files in Windows Explorer (Tools > Folder Options > View (then select Hidden files option) then Apply to all folders) to do this). I then shut down Firefox, deleted the file and restarted - my home page was correct and it didn't try to open my old session! Some other posts suggested deleting everything called "sessionrestore" in that folder, but I didn't need to.

What are you asking? Where music is stored or where the user accounts were stored?
Music should be in the music folder - perhaps inside of an iTunes folder.
User accounts should be on the home directory.
