Firefox hangs when trying to open youtube videos

hi,
everytime I access youtube, and after starting to play a video, firefox hangs and ans stop working and I need to open task manager to close the process.
I tried also with internet explorer and I happens the same but I get a script error, but with firefox no errors displayed, just hangs in the very beginning of any youtube video playing.
please, any help will be great.
this started 2 days ago, before was just normal.
I have the last firefox version, plus I run all virus scans and malware scans and nothing.
I have the last java and flash updates but still the same :(

Hi,
Please try disabling the hardware acceleration of Adobe Flash, if it is enabled. Right-click on a video, click the icon on the bottom left and uncheck '''Enable hardware acceleration'''.

Firefox hangs when trying to play YouTube videos. Ending task starts the video and application, but the same thing happens when trying to view the next video. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Task Manager shows that Firefox is still running. Clicking End Task restarts the video playing and application running (then I have to cancel the End Task and Close Program processes).

Try uninstalling Flash Player 10.2 and install the previous version, 10.1.There have been a few reports of problems with Flash that have been solved by using the previous version. You can download the uninstaller for Flash, and get version 10.1 from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html
The Adobe archive files contain multiple versions of 10.1 for all operating systems so is quite a large download, the old-apps lets you just download the Windows versions that you require - http://www.oldapps.com/flash_player.php
You can also try disabling hardware acceleration on Flash to see if that helps. If you can access any Flash content, right-click on it and choose Settings. In the first section of the settings is the option to enable/disable hardware acceleration.

OSX Firefox freezes when trying to play youtube videos on facebook.

When I click on embedded youtube videos on facebook, OSX firefox freezes, and I need to force quit. Everything is up to date, and this problem has been going on for at least two updates.

HII!!!!
I saw on another post on how to solve this problem, "right click before the video, select display and uncheck the box" the problem i have is that i cant even get to play the video before it crashes again, does anyone know another way to fix this problem? this is annoying!!!!!!!!!
I already followed this method with internet explorer, but it wont work when i try to play videos on firefox, it crashes just like i said above!

Why do I keep getting "Error occurred. Please try later again." , eveytime when trying to watch youtube videos. I have the latest adobe flash player and java so why can't I watch videos at youtube??
It's very, very, frustrating having had so many people tell me I need to change my browser to you guys at mozilla firefox.
I've tried everything but still cannot view the youtube videos. I have a 32 bit Toshiba laptop.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I get the following error when trying to view YouTube videos in some wireless hotspots; "The server is not correctly configured". It used to work fine at these locations.

Maybe not as many people reply as you think should because this site doesn't freaking work either!

hey, I'm not sure if I've set it up for hard drive video. When I

Firefox freezes when trying to open new Youtube Videos, what can I do?

I run Firefox 19.0.2 and the latest Flash plugin. All of a sudden Firefox freezes when I try to open Youtube videos. I can only kill it with ctrl+alt+del.
Note that I CAN watch Youtube videos that are saved as favorites and I also CAN watch videos I click as related videos. However whenever I use the search bar and click a new video I haven't watched before, Firefox will freeze over and over again.
I already tried disabling the hardware acceleration, as well as deleting the cache and varying cache size.
I also tried re-setting the dom.ipc config settings as stated here:

So far, nothing would do the trick.

Nokia 5800 XM - Gallery hangs when trying to open ...

Hello All,
I searched all over the internet to see if any other 5800 owner has similar issue but i guess not. When I try to open any image (which is on phone memory) with memory card inserted the gallery hangs, Even trying to open an image or movie clip stored in memory card behaves same. I can open the same files using file manager under application.
I noticed this issue the next day after i purchased my handset and went to nokia customer care and they replaced the MM card( well it took almost month for them) now this is the replaced card. It worked for some hours i was able to view images using gallery and now all of a sudden it has stopped responding. Has this got to do with any application which is installed on memory card?
I am going to try to format my MM card and try putting single pic on phone and then on memory card and try. Any one please has any other suggestion?
I have many song videos on my MMC. i have uninstalled all the applications whihc were there on my memory card like marle maze and some others which i had installed.
Once i connect to OVI PC Suite i am unable to select remove storage device as it always shows in use so i always used to switch mode to mass storage from PC suite and then remove storage device and disconnect it. Is this correct method?

well, i got the solution.
1). remove the memory card from ur cell.
2). On the cell without memory card.(you will see no trouble wid Gallery now.)
3). Now OFF ur cell and put the memory card in the cell.
4). Now Format the memory card by phone memory card menu.
5). Restart your Cell, copy the contents to memory card, whatever the size of contents are.....
6). And finally, go to Gallery and enjoy the features of Boombastic 5800..

Firefox crashes when trying to open

When trying to open firefox it crashes right away. It pops up an error box with the two options to either try to restore firefox or quit firefox. I have tried to open it in safe mode and get the same results. Also I have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox with the same thing happening. I do have some crash ID's

Thank you guys for the quick responses. I tried to update trusteer rapport but it said it was already up to date. I am trying to talk to them about it. Also I tried a newer version of Firefox and it opened up fine. The reason that we are trying to get Firefox 9 to work is that there is a business site we need access to and they only support Firefox 9 or IE 8 which is ridiculous in my opinion.

Firefox 36.0.1 on Mac running Yosemite 10.10.2 hangs when trying to open Add-ons Manager

I am running Firefox 36.0.1 on an iMac with Yosemite 10.10.2. Firefox is working fine except that it hangs and forces me to Force Quit the application every time I try to choose Add-ons from the Tools menu. I have never had this problem before. This problem has happened for three straight days with my iMac being restarted several times. The same problem happens when trying to access Add-ons from the Open menu icon. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks!

Firefox hangs when trying to save a file, even after removing firefox and reinstalilng afresh

I recently experienced firefox hanging/freezing indefinitely when trying to save files, such as pdf files. The same pdf files open fine within the browser if I do not select "save link as...", but the problem occurs when I try to save such a file. The problem is similar regardless of the file type (e.g., .mp3, .txt). Not only did I go through the recommended solutions that mozilla suggests when file downloads hang, but I uninstalled firefox completely (removing all files with user settings), and then reinstalled firefox afresh without any plugins or add-ons, and I still have the same file save problem. It may also be worth mentioning that this problem does not occur in internet explorer or chrome. Maybe a system file that firefox uses got corrupted (?), but I don't know which one or how to repair it if that indeed is the problem.
My system is running XP, and I have McAfee AV installed (which has not been a problem in the past).

Early on I tried starting firefox in safe mode as one possible fix, and that didn't solve the problem. I just tried again right now with the fresh installation, and still no luck.
Any other ideas?
