Firefox install executable will not download files and install.

I cannot install firefox on my windows 7 pro machine. I have downloaded the ver 22 installer executable and when I run it, it never gets past the "Downloading.." progress bar. It looks as though the DL never starts. I am running Win7 64 bit Pro SP1, on a HP elitebook laptop. I have left the installer running for over an hour and it is never able to download.
System specs:
Intel Core i7 2.4GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM

Please only download and install Firefox from the official Mozilla servers to avoid getting infected with malware.
You can find the full version of the latest Firefox 22.0 release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:

There's no 3.6.18, so there appears to be a glitch in the update checking. Or the message is not really from Firefox (malware site).

  • HT4528 I've purchased a few dozen songs from itunes on my iphone. A few of these songs will not download properly and I keep getting a "unable to download song" message. My account info is correct and full signal.

I've purchased a few dozen songs from itunes on my iphone. A few of these songs will not download properly and I keep getting a "unable to download song" message. My account info is correct and full signal. It seems to continually keep trying to download but cannot. Please help!

i do understand that.  if you purchased the music on the phone.  its still available to you.  if you go in itunes on your computer.  go to purchases.  there should be all the music you have purchased.  there you can download the song if it isn't already and then sync it to your phone which will add the song to the phone.  have you tried to power off phone and then try to download again.   the itunes way is just another option.

  • Firefox 4.0 will not download.

My computer is a MacBook Pro 10.6.6. I automatically subscribe to the Foxfire updates. This morning I received one for Firefox to be updated to 4.0
I have attempted three times to do such and it will NOT download. Currently my Firefox is 3.6.16.
Can you assist me, with ease. I am 70 years old and not to savvy about computers, considering I just started back in 2001.
    Thanks,
    Michael Sherwood.

Same problem, but I'm on OSX 10.5.8 - non Intel mac.
Wording is actually "... because it is not supported on this architecture."
Ironic that I have to use Safari to post this. :)

  • HT1688 This morning loaded 7.0.4 and noticed that my email pop server will not download email and when I try to delete apps the X doesn't pop up in the left corner anymore.  The app wiggles but the X is gone.

This morning after downloading 7.0.4 I've noticed that my email POP server will not download my email.  Also you can not delete apps.
With the app wiggling the "X" doesn't appear in the upper left corner which allows you to delete that particular app. I have told friends
that are still on 7.0.3 not to download 7.0.4.

The "x" only appears on apps that you are allowed to delete. You cannot delete the Apple-supplied Apps like Mail. There is no problem here with iOS 7
Also make sure that you do not have a restriction set on "deleting apps". If this is set you will not be able to delete any App. See Settings > General > Restrictions

  • Firefox will not download files or open options

When I click on a link to download a file or click on tool-options Firefox freezes up. Have tried various things to get it working, tried starting in safe mode (both FF and windows) created a new profile, complete uninstall, removed profile/personal data and registry entries, reinstalled v4, reverted to v3.6 nothing has made a difference.
I thought it might have somethingto do with the malware infection detailed [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic396318.html here] but that has been cleared up and the machine is now clean so maybe this is a seperate problem which appeared at the same time.
Hope someone has a solution to help clear this up.
    Thanks

Your user agent identifies your system as running version '''2.0.14''', not 3.6.17 or 4.0.1
    So please do the following.
Go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0.1] and download a fresh installation file to the desktop.
Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box).
Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier.
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation.
After you update, do the following.
Go to the following Adobe sites and download these:<br><br>
    * Flash via http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    * Shockwave For Director via http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/
    * Reader via http://get.adobe.com/reader/?promoid=BUIGO

  • Flash Player will not download. freezes and stops. Was previously on PC. Updates will not download.

Anybody have a reason this is happening? Or I should say not happening?

    @dummergold
I'm sorry, I really do not understand what your issue is.  Your first post indicates an issue with downloading the online installer, which requires an internet connection to download/install.  User andys75622553 provided a link to the offline installer, which does not require an internet connection to install.  You're response to andys75622553 is a bit confusing.  Please restate your issue in a clear manner, preferably as stated here Read Before Posting: How To Get A Useful Answer To Your Question
    Maria
Sorry to intrude and cause a second issue. I did read the 'Read Before Posting: How To Get A Useful Answer To Your Question'. and I ask to be dismissed from the trouble shooting with respect to my Windows 7 issue, as I will not be able to concentrate and other stuff. Please help Mike.
I do find it interesting that you are running XP Mike, because I also run XP on this 'dial-up internet connected' computer that I type from at present - and interesting because I thought I had given up on Flash Player updates back last April when XP became obsolete - not that XP doesn't function, as I am still using it also, but that I could not update my Internet Explorer - so, I thought that because I could not update my Internet Explorer, that Flash Player was telling me that it couldn't update. And note that my statement could be warped by time, but something like that.
    Good luck

  • Firefox 4.0 will not download at all, I get the circle with a slash. I have mac osx.

I had firefox 3.6, downloaded free upgrade, which totally replaced the old one, it's gone.
But the new icon has a circle and slash on it and is not viable. Doesn't work, doesn't open, messages says: You cannot open the application Firefox.app because it is not supported on this system.

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

Firefox versions 3.0 and higher require OSX 10.4 and higher:
[ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0.0.20/mac/en-US/Firefox%202.0.0.20.dmg Firefox version 2.0.0.20] is the last ever version of Firefox for OSX 10.3.9 and lower.
However, I would think about finding/creating an unofficial build of Firefox 3 for older Mac (if you cannot get next version of Mac OSX). If it's possible. I don't know.
