Firefox installs on my macbook air but won't open - this is weird because it works fine on my macbook pro and imac
I have an iMac, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. Until recently Firefox worked fine on them all and was my default web browser. Suddenly and with no other indications, FF wouldn't load on my MacBook Air. The opening sequence commences but hangs up with a "loading" indication. I have tried uninstalling FF with CleanMyMac and reinstalling. All is fine until I attempt to open FF when again I get a hang up with the "loading" indication. FF is still working fine on my iMac and MacBook Pro. Weird or what!
I have that problem too! Have anyone figure it out?

Hello, If you are dealing with one of the really thin iMac's that have no superdrive, then the superdrive icon should not appear on the desktop when you plug it in, but when you put in a disk (CD, DVD, etc.) that should appear. If you go into disk utility, and look at superdrive, that should be clickable and not grayed out when you have it plugged in. If this does not show up in disk utility, go to Apple, and ask to speak to their supervisor, speaking to a customer service agent is like talking to a potato, nothing gets done. Good Luck!

My 2013 Macbook Air can't find my HPDeskjet 3054 wireless printer. They worked fine together before I took the MB away from the printer for the summer. I have tried reinstalling the HP software and a bunch of other things that didn't work. The printer shows up as its own wireless network in the list of networks, but then I have to disconnect from my home network and I lose internet connectivity. What's up?

The task bar is at the top of the screen, but the best i can do is hit VIEW then Exit Full Screen (or Enter Full Screen) and it shows for a second then disappears off to the right.

what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you see when iPhoto opens? Do you see anything when not in Full Screen?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive? -

From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab.
Click: Show Cookies
Delete all earthlink related cookies.
Now open a Finder window select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. Then open the Library folder, then the Caches folder, then the com.apple.Safari folder. Move the cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Relaunch Safari.
If that didn't help, in Safari / Preferences - Advanced click *Change Settings* next to Proxies.
That will prompt the Network pane in System Preferences. Make sure none of the boxes on the left under: *Select a protocol to configure* are selected. If any boxes are checked, deselect, click OK.
Relaunch Safari and try Earthlink.

No problem with iMac, MacBook Air, but no joy with iPod touch
I switched ISP last week, and while I was able to link Mail with a MacBook Air, I hit disaster when I tried to do likewise with iPod Touch. I have my email with one ISP, but the new ISP gives me better broadband, and so I must use their SMTP. At first I had no problem as I inserted the correct Incoming and outgoing settings. Now I can't get past the first step of the new account box. That box throws up a webmail address I never had, and an Stmp I dispensed with last week. When I proceed to insert the correct settings, I get a message that my email service won't work. At my wits end with this. Can anyone help? Please.

Start with the troubleshooting in the article below and simply restart your iPhone or iPad. If that does not work, then try deleting the book and download the book again. You may end up having to delete iBooks and install it again.

If you don't need the changes saved then you can force quit the word app. On the menubar, cick the > Force quit > select word.

I have a Macbook Air mid 2013, about 2 weeks old. I ran BCA to the point that it restarted my Macbook Air but did not then initiate the Windows installer. How do I continue the installation? The instructions and tutorials I have found assume that the installer will start automatically after the reboot.

Just user to user....based on past and current history, Adobe Tech Support is not going to help you with a technical issue which is preventing you from using your purchased serial number for Photoshop Elements. Version 12 is not the current version. And, the Adobe Tech Support is limited even for the current version which is 13. If this matter involves a purchased activated serial number trapped on a crashed computer while you are trying to install on a 3rd computer, then probably Adobe Chat Activation can be of assistance. I'm afraid you did an error when erasing your hard-drive, this has automatically erased the "local recovery". In order to pass-by this, you must use a former Mac OS X installation DVD (such as Snow Leopard 10.6.3) and then when updated to 10.6.8 you may access the Mac App Store to recover the Yosemite Installer and proceed to a fresh "update" OR creating a Bootable USB Installation drive with DiskMaker in order to alway get a installation copy.
I also suggest you to create a USB Basic Operating System (you must select a local USB device to install Yosemite or whatever OS you want) with only the base operating system to launch your computer in case of Main Operating System issues.
Given the amounts of issues reported by users with 10.10.2, I command you to download 10.10.2 version to get a stable OS working.
