Firefox is blocking popups that I want to see, even after I have unchecked the Block Popup Windows in Options.
There are several sites that provide popups that I want to see. Firefox had not been blocking them previously. Then today it did. I went to Options and listed these sites as exceptions. It still blocked them. I went to options and unchecked Block Popup Windows. It still blocked them. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled a new copy. It still blocks them. What do I do now?
BTW, this does not occur when I access the same sites with Internet Explorer.
I have the same issue. I am using windows 7 ultimate and have it on a laptop which has no issues. It is only one pop up i want to come up and it blocks it. I am using zone alarm as well, and I turn it off and it makes no difference. IE works and I HATE Microsoft. I wish Mozilla would come up with a fix.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

My system is Windows 7 SP1 fully updated with Norton 360 a/v
My problem is as follows:
Installed Firefox with no difficulty
It opened normally
Used and setup Google News UK as default page with no difficuly and page opened normally.
But then trried to open individual items in Google News and every time got message Internet Explorer cannot open this site
Set up a bare Windows 7 SP1 drive and installed Firefox and continued with same message when opening items on the page
I also use both MSN and Yahoo browsers and neither have any problems
I have repeated the process in Windows 8 beta with the same result

Is there a way to hide songs/albumbs in itunes match only on certain devices?
for example, I have a huge collection of songs, and my wife only wants to see 'her stuff' on her iphone.

You can only use one Apple id for your iTunes match.
At present there is no way to hide selected songs.
Whilst all the music will show on you wife's iphone, she could create playlist(s) on your computer to include only her songs.

When I returned from holiday there were hundreds of messages waiting for me, but Firefox would only open the first few. Some that I tried to open just showed a balnk page, others showed a page of hundreds of lines of letters & digits. Every time that I open Firefox I receive the message that the IN-box is full.

I deleted the photos via Finder and empty trash long time ago. The thing is, that I want to recover one event or album. The event appears in the iphoto but when open, it shows "!". Is it possible to recover the photos?
No. When you removed the photos via the finder you damage the library. Photos should always be removed from the library using iPhoto, never with the Finder.
If you have a Time Machine backup of the library from before you deleted the photos you can restore the library to the Desktop and export that album from it to import into your current library.
It's been too long to be able to try one of the file recovery applications. You sure to have overwritten those files with new files since them.

We do have a place in the UK which we could use as an address, but for various reasons it gets a bit complex even though we still have a UK bank account. We moved to France when there were no iDevices and apps around, just bought the occasional music, so it wasn't a problem. Funny thing is I can't even download the free UK bank app because it's not available in the French store .
I'll live with the problem for now as we plan to move back to the UK in a year or so - we miss the weather . -

When I turn off the computer my preferances are forgot. My screen saver aways goes to photos. Ittune always ask if I want to upgrade even after telling it not to . firefox always goes the upgrade page a progam I have to save my clipboard resets itself.
This does appear to be an issue with synergy, but I've also noticed on my C2D Macbook Pro that the screen does not wake from sleep when I simply touch or move around on the touchpad. Now, I have to hit a button (like return) to get the monitor to wake up. Submitting a button strike through synergy does not work, though. Neither does a mouse click on either the trackpad or through synergy.
It also appears that synergy is functioning even though the monitor is off. My mouse does move to the screen and progress across it (I have a three monitor setup with the Mac in the middle, so I can move it off my left system to my Mac, keep moving, and eventually it will show up on the third screen). If synergy weren't working, I would expect it to go from screen 1 to screen 3.
So I think there's something up with how Lion detects that the monitor should be reenabled, and synergy is even more affected by that decision. -

It is not listed in Login items. I tried all the usual fixes plus Diskwarrior rebuild.
W.W.I suggest deleting the Canon Network Scanner from Login Items to determine if that is the cause. Not knowing exactly what it does, I suspect it is intended to monitor the printer's supply levels all the time. It's not necessary to do that. You can always determine the printer's ink supply level every time you print something, when its Print dialog appears. You can also check its supply levels by opening System Preferences on your own, and selecting Printers & Scanners.
Bear in mind Login Items is simply a convenience that loads the programs you specify every time you log in. That feature is less important as it had been in the past since Mavericks will re-open everything that was open when you last logged out, if you select this checkbox:
If you want to add the Adobe programs to Login Items again, search for them using Spotlight. The Adobe programs themselves should not be causing this behavior. -

Work from the administrator account. First of all sort out Firefox, use the Adobe uninstaller to uninstall Flash before reinstalling 11.2 Afterwards check that IE is ok, the Uninstaller may have changed that so you may need to reinstall Flash on IE.

You are apparently using an outdated Firefox 8. That is not secure you should update to the latest Release Firefox 13 (or within a day or so Firefox 14)
You may also encounter problems relating to use of RealPlayer software and that software may affect use of FlashPlayer 11.3

When you finish set Firefox's FlashPlayer not to upgrade, and until this issue is resolved do not follow suggestions from Adobe, or Plugincheck etc. to upgrade Flash.

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.
