Firefox is n0t showing my ebay auction pictures, for last 2 days, but other browsers shows them. Help!

Firefox showed my pictures on my ebay auctions previously, but I noticed yesterday morning that while using Firefox, I had no pictures. Went to Internet Explorer & pictures show up fine. Help? Something is wrong. What & how do I fix it? I have emptied my cache. Turned the computer off & back on. Don't know what else to try.

Edit: If your eBay pictures are hosted on a different site, you would need to unblock that site. If that site is not blocked, then you may have blocked all "third party" images, i.e., images hosted on a different site. When mozilla asked my for an update several months ago I chose to skip the install and wait. Did the install soon after and firefox stopped working even though my connection to the internet is fine. I uninstalled mozilla firefox, used another browser to access the mozilla website to reinstall firefox. This fixed my problem and firefox was working again, until another update came along. This time attempting to uninstall and reinstall did nothing. Once again I am left using another browser to use the support forum and firefox is not working. Please help!!

Answers in this forum have shown different things have worked for different people.

Others had to go a step further after deleting YouTube cookies and block YouTube from saving cookies. In the Tools menu select Options to open the Options window. Go to the Privacy panel and make sure it is set to "Use custom setting for history". Click the Exceptions button, type in http://www.youtube.com and click on Block
Another option is to disable hardware acceleration for Flash. To do that right-click on a Flash video, select Settings, go to the first tab of the settings for the option to enable/disable hardware acceleration for Flash. Since I updated, Firefox is crashing daily. The finger scroll feature on my PC works with other browsers, but doesn't work on Firefox. It is also very, very slow, but other browsers aren't. I can't use it anymore until it's fixed.

This happened to me too. This problem started suddenly with no changes made on my part. I had 11.2 Flash version with Firefox 13. I tried updating to the new Firefox, same problem, then updated to Flash 11.3. I even uninstalled RealPlayer.
I read a solution on another forum and it was as easy as clearing my cache. Everything works fine now (even after reinstalling RealPlayer and allowing the download button function).

Do you notice any difference between secure sites and non-secure sites in what error message you get?
Do you use any kind of content filtering or parental control software?

When I enter something in the URL bar -- google.com, localhost, http://127.0.0.1/ an IP address, there's a split second flash, then the bar becomes empty again and nothing has happened. It looks like Firefox isn't even trying to connect to the internet.
Yesterday, all was well when I was running FF on Windows 7. After the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro, Firefox failed. I upgraded again to Windows 8.1, hoping for the best, but it's the same problem.
I have walked through the firewall issue, several times (the only one running is Windows' built-in firewall). I eventually uninstalled Firefox, including all my custom settings, and reinstalled from scratch, twice. And even this pure, clean version of Firefox will not connect to the internet.
I'm a computer-literate web developer and would be happy to look at log files, or run some tool (Fiddler?) to see what's happening at a low level, if only I knew where to look.

mm... That just about sums up my thought on reading your question. Rather odd this one. I will list some brief ideas and number them to make them easier to refer to or comment on.
Obviously this does not affect all Firefox 27 on Windows 8. It must be something fairly specific to your setup. I have no idea what your problem is and you have tried some of the obvious troubleshooting steps.
Rather a general shotgun approach but the best I can do is suggest this list

I have one out of five email address's with coxmail that opens with a blank inbox. Other browsers like opera or IE show the content of the same inbox. I've contacted cox but they tell me the problem is on my computer. I've used three different anti virus/malware scanners to eliminate all the bugs they can find. You can undo your permission changes. Probably the most relevant one is cookies. Try one or both of these methods:
(1) Page Info > Permissions tab
While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Permissions
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Permissions
(2) about:permissions
In a new tab, type or paste '''about:permissions''' and press Enter. Allow a few moments for the list on the left to populate, as this information needs to be extracted from a database.
Then type or paste ''rcn''' in the search box above the list to filter it to the most relevant domains. When you highlight a domain, you can adjust its permissions in the right pane.

Firefox won't load any internet pages, but different browsers, both Chrome and Explorer work, I havent tried others. I've un-installed, changed the name of the folder of the plug-ins that were left so it wouldn't recognize them, then re-installed nothing happened. I've checeked for viruses, proxies, and i'm pretty sure its not a firewall, I think we only have one and I checked it, plus there is no prompt asking me if I want to allow firefox to access the internet. It won't run in safe mode, so its not any add-ons, clearing the cache didn't do anything either. Its also not in offline mode. What else could it be?

When I open a Pdf file from a particular site(armandaily.ir) can not display the file.

When I disable the Acrobat plugin, file to be downloaded. I get notices that the downloaded file size is less than the original file. When I want to open it in Acrobat, also acrobat, can't open it and I get failure message: the file is corrupted.

I have a web designer issue. Firefox is not displaying the correct font color on the header in my blog. Explorer, Chrome, and Safari have no problems. The page is in css but this particular section has html code o designate color. The code is as follows:

Though all other browsers display the light orange color designated, Firefox displays white. Strangely, if if retype the code by spelling out a color, Firefox displays it correctly. i.e.

... will give me black. You can see the effect by viewing the link below and looking at the word "blog" in the header, which should be light orange but is not in Firefox.

Actually it also seems to work in the current Firefox 4 beta as it is.
The code is not right though - the correct syntax for the color attribute with hex values is with a # at the start, so:
color="#FF9966"
It might work in Firefox 3.x if you change that.

Then when I tried to use firefox, I got the firefox is running but not responding. tried following directions to do the profile fix, but when I tried to click on the firefox tab, I got the running but not responding message. hi, such issues are often caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.
