Firefox is no longer letting me save bookmarks at all. I have tried the bookmarks menu and star icon in my url address line. how do I fix this?

Only my third day with a new computer. I have always used FF and it let me bookmark the first two days with this computer (Mac desktop, OS X 10.6.4). I'm not sure if I accidentally set it to do this or what. When I press the star or go in manually to the Bookmarks menu to add a bookmark, nothing happens at all. There are no new screens and I looked in the menus to see if anything was added anywhere and there is nothing. My recent bookmarks are still there and working though.

I am have problems with firefox 5& 6. It does not display correctly. I have tried the no squint and the internal zoom. Some pages load ok, others like yahoomail, load tiny unless I zoom and then other pages have problems. Why? What else can I be doing?

I am frustrated. With the no squint, which has a mind of its own, then some pages are fine, in others the type is too big or too small for the frames. If I use the default Firefox zoom that is no better. I have to set things for like 130 percent and am constantly having to click on the zoom and change things. I never had that with previous versions? Why can't Firefox just go back to displaying text in the correct frames at a decent size?

I have played with all the options in no squint and the default zoom thing. My email list in yahoo remains tiny tiny, other things do not. If I enlarge that, then other things are too big. I never had this problem with older versions of firefox. I never had used any zoom features, it all sized itself correctly.
To troubleshoot, I tried to open the same things with chrome, and it had much less of a problem sizing the type etc.
I am kind of at my wits end here.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

You can create a bookmark with the JavaScript code via a right-click on the "Remember Password" link on the squarefree.com website and choose "Bookmark This Link" and select the "Bookmarks Toolbar" as the destination folder for easy access.

All three buttons used to have a color associated with them. Red (furthest left), Yellow (middle) and Green (right). I linked through and submitted my info as a "topic not covered" in the iCloud section. After entering the serial number of my MBP it turns out I wasn't eligible for technical support (though I don't think this is hardware related support) and the final suggestion was to take my computer into an Apple store. I called my local Apple reseller and asked for assistance. The customer service rep was very nice but unable to help, so suggested I call Apple Support on 1300 321 456. I did so and, again, spoke to two very polite and helpful customer service people (I was transferred to security services). I didn't have to be on hold to speak to either rep for more than a few seconds! After trying a few different things, he worked out what was happening...
So, to cut a long story short, to solve the problem in my OP, all I had to do was log out of iCloud in my System Preferences and log back in using my current Apple ID. [Edited to add that I had to sign out of everything I was currently signed in to with my Apple ID before logging out and in again.]

Do you want to change to your name for just the email and/or your MBP? As it stands now, your sister is the admin not you.
If you just want to change the email and you are using Apple's Mail, post in the Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard/Mail forum. If using 3rd party email client, post in their forum.

Sure you can use a MacBook Pro and a external monitor for doing home movies and such occasionally, but if your into serious production you need to consdier other options now.
There is nothing wrong in getting a MacBook Air and a Windows 7 professional video tower too.

All of a sudden my Firefox brower will not open correctly. It keeps telling me that it is trying to restore the previous session, but it doesnt' matter if I press the Restore button or the Close button to try again, it will not work. How can I fix this?

After I hit the Close button and try to reopen it tells me that Firefox is currently already running and to either close it or restart my computer. Which I did, and it didn't do anything. Also, when I press the restore button, it will not restore, it just sits there. Please help, I hate Internet Explorer and I don't want to use it longer than I need to.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Firefox stuck in endless loop asking to restart to finish previous update but does nothing. Can uninstall or install newer version over it. I believe the setup files were erased before reboot by another installer. How do i fix this?

Anything i try related to firefix gets "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox" I have tried rebooting no luck, i have tired uninstalling from add remove programs or installing 4.0 over it. Now that you've renamed the folder, you just need to install a clean copy of Firefox.
If you don't have a working browser on the broken computer, you can download it on the computer you are chatting on now:
# Download the right version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html (Probably the US English version for Windows)
# When the file is saved, copy it to a flash drive, recordable CD/DVD, removable hard drive, digital camera card, or other disk.

You can't - Safari on iOS 5 used tabbed browsing as opposed to the thumbnail/page browsing as on previous iOS versions. You now open new tabs/pages via the '+' to the right of the tab bar, and you can close the selected by tapping the 'x' on its left-hand end (unless it's the last tab).
