Firefox is opening a .pdf link with Google Docs. How can I change to a different program?

I am opening a government document from a govt webpage link. It's a pdf document, and the document opens in Google Docs. I do not want it to open in Google Docs, but don't know how to change to a different program.
I am using current Firefox; Windows 7.

Thanks for the suggestion, I should've mentioned I'd already tried that without success. I tried clearing everything in the Clear Recent History section actually but the certificate is still remembered.
I've also just now tried deleting the certificates completely but not even that works - a little concerning. (:

In order for the "From" field to show you options on the "from" addresses available, you must set them up in the Preferences > Accounts first.
I can't show you a screen shot of the from field because I currently only have one account, so the from address used is the default. However, when I had more than one, then options will show up in your compose/reply window.

hello tomterrimort, if your manual changes don't 'stick' after a restart of the browser, please look out for any suspicious extensions (like 3rd-party-toolbars or things you have not installed intentionally) presently installed under '''firefox/tools > addons > extensions''' or the programs section of the windows control panel and remove those entries.
in case this doesn't solve the issue please try this: go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "show folder", then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named '''user.js''' (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). in case it is present , delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.

The best option is to sign out of all accounts http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5796. you will have to remove all of the purchases or the old yahoo account will keep coming up.

How can i open a PDF link with safari?C

safari keeps saying that "there was an error opening this document. this file cannot be found" when I tried to open a PDF file link. and I have no problem opening those links with I.E or Firefox.
i've tried to reinstall safari and adobe, but neither of those methods worked.

Firefox keeps getting buggy and crashing with HTML5 player, how can i disable?

every time i open more than 2 tabs on youtube it gives me a freezing browsing experience, black page on videos and eventually crashing firefox, ive looked everywhere for a solution and did not find one, how can i disable the default html5 player? i tried 2 addons of youtube flash player which didn't work either, keeps being buggy and crashy

this does not solve my problem, as i mentioned the problem is with the HTML5 player, i've been using flash player since forever and used to open up to 50 tabs without having any problems, with the new default html5 thingy i cannot open a couple of tabs without the browser dying slowly.. my original question was how can i disable the HTML5 player and make the flash player be the default player

A search takes me to a page where I click on a link which takes me to an advertising page, rather than the link I clicked. How can I change this back to a true search?

Example: Yahoo shows "Seal Team 6" in "Trending Now." I click it. I get a normal page with options to read specific stories. I click one. It takes me to a page advertising seal fur coats or team sport clothing. But my opportunity to read the article is gone. For a while I could paste the link into the URL, but even that now goes to another advertisement. Any help would be appreciated.

Photo file names in ipad changed with last update, how can I change them ?

When I transfered photos from my SD card to the ipad, it created an event naming it after the date pictures were taken, after last ipad OS update SOME of the events names changed to 126IMPRT, xxxIMPRT, etc not even in order of date taken, and the others remained with the date. Can someone tell me how to fix this and put them back with the date, and keep naming them with the date when transfering from the SD card?. This is strictly for the ones transfered to the ipad directly, has nothing to do with the photos transfered using iphoto. These are ok.

Thanks Applematt9812, that works great. I never saw that before. It lets you group pictures under the Albums tab nicely.
But, unfortunately, it doesn't fix the names of the groups that get created under the Events tab when you load pictures from a camera card. If that was editable it would help.

I used to write e.g. "onet" in the address bar and firefox opened page "onet.pl". After reinstalling Windows it only moves me to Google. How can I change it?

Firefox's address bar ("location bar") has an "autofill" feature based on your history. Once you've visited onet.pl the next time you type onet Firefox should suggest that location by pre-filling it in on the address bar. Is that not working? Does it work for .com sites or not for any sites?
Or if you meant more generally that you want to type a word and have .pl added to the end, then you can change what Firefox does with address bar entries by disabling the search feature. Then Firefox will use a "fixup" procedure instead. This change needs to be made in about:config. Here's how:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''keyw''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''keyword.enabled''' preference to switch it from true to false
(4) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''fix''' and pause while the list is filtered
(5) If the '''browser.fixup.alternate.suffix''' preference isn't .pl you can double-click to edit it

Pdf files associations... how can I change them? [SOLVED]

Basically when I double-click a pdf file from nautilus, gimp opens. I have the gnome-extra packages installed (document viewer for exmaple reads pdf files, no), but I have no idea how to reset the file association from gimp to document viewer. Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by portrait and landscape. Are you referring to full screen mode by chance?
Click View from the Safari menu bar top of your screen. From the drop down menu you can click Enter or Exit Full Screen.
With Safari open, Command + , (comma) opens Safari Preferences. Or from your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences.
There aren't any options for full screen mode in Safari > Preferences... only from the menu bar, (View).

This can happen if you've zoomed the page. That effects the screen dimensions as reported by JavaScript and seems to confuse Yahoo.
Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.
*View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

My iphone is linked to my ipad how do i change to a different iphone

My ipad linked itself automatically to my personal iphone and is now answering calls and letting me see SMS messages which is great, but .. this ipad I want to use for work and link to my work iphone.
Any suggestions of how to do this? I am using the same apple id for both iphones and the ipad and have tried switching the Facetime cellular calls switch on and off on all the devices.

YOu don't. Settiing it up on another computer, will wipe all the data off your current phone.

when i go through the app creation process to create an ipa file in the app builder, i want the app to open straight away instead it goes to what looks like the content viewer library page.
