Firefox is suddenly not remembering or filling in any of my passwords. All of the appropriate boxes are checked in the options/security tab, but it won't remember any passwords and shows none saved. How do I get it to remember and fill in my passwords again?
Do you mean names and passwords in the Password Manager or do you mean that you are no longer logged on to (remembered by) websites after closing and restarting Firefox?
If the latter happens then you have a problem with cookies that are not kept or the file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie that you must allow: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Exceptions"
Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the 'Cookies' and the 'Site Preferences'.
Make sure that you not run Firefox in [[Private Browsing]] mode.
In Private Browsing mode some menu items are disabled (grayed) and some features like visited links and others are disabled and not working.
You are in Private Browsing mode if you see "Tools > Stop Private Browsing".

Restore. When given the choice, choose to use backup.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -

my autofill stopped working recently. I looked under preferences and all the necessary boxes are checked. When I start to fill out a form, the autofill box comes up, but when I click on it, it turns blue and nothing else happens.
Back up all data, then test after each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
1. Press the down-arrow key. (Credit to ASC member iNeight.)
2. Quit and relaunch Safari. Force quit if necessary.
3. Click in the first field to be filled, and then select
Edit ▹ AutoFill Form
from the menu bar. You may have to reload the page in order to do this.
4. Select
Contacts ▹ Preferences ▹ vCard
and uncheck the box marked
Enable private me card
if it's checked.
5. Select your card in Contacts. Then select
Card ▹ Make This My Card
from the menu bar.
6. In Safari, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ AutoFill ▹ AutoFill web forms: Using info from my Contacts card
If the box was already checked, uncheck it and then check it again.
7. Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.
Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.
8. Run Software Update and install any available updates. -

Resolution Follow these steps to resolve the issue: Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

iTunes, on my PC, is responding very slowly.I just updated downloaded and installed iTunes 11 .0.1 on my Windows XP professional PC and all seems OK until I try to access iTunes Store or attempt to turn on Home Sharing or try to do anything where iTunes has to connect to Apple. When I first got an iPhone, I didnt have my own iTunes account. So in turn i used my Dads. Well being unaware of what i was doing, I synced my iPhone to his account. Well a couple of months ago, i started using my moms apple ID to buy things in the app store, and i started recieving her text messages. Now my dad, has plugged his phone into his itunes account and has synced it and has all of my photos, his contacts are still there, but he has all of my apps, all of my text messages and has all of my photos. What can i do to get his things back? And stop getting my moms text messages. I really would like some help on this please Thanks!!!

My mac desktop will not provide sound from internal speakers. When I go to audio devices window it only shows airplay. How can I get internal speakers back.
There are many possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Some may not apply to your model. Back up all data before making any changes.
1. Start with the steps recommended in this support article. Don't skip any of the steps. It's the starting point for further efforts to solve the problem.
2. Run Software Update and make sure you have a fully up-to-date installation of OS X.
3. If you've installed an application called "Memory Clean" or any other third-party software that is supposed to "clean" or "purge" memory automatically, remove it according to the developer's instructions and restart. You should do that even if the software is not causing the problem, because it's useless.
4. Other third-party software that has been reported to interfere with sound output includes "Boom" and "Samsung Kies." If applicable, uninstall according to the developer's instructions (not by dragging something to the Trash.)
5. If an AirPlay device is selected for sound output from iTunes (or from other applications via third-party software such as "Airfoil"), deselect it.
6. Launch the application "Audio MIDI Setup" by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search and selecting it in the results (it should be at the top.) Select Built-in Output from the list on the left. If the Mute boxes are checked, uncheck them.
7. If a red light is visible in the audio-out port when sound should be playing, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
If there's no red light, the switch may still be stuck in the headphone position. Try to free it the same way.
8. Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard and mouse, if applicable. If more than one display is connected, disconnect all extra ones. Restart and test.
9. If you have a MacBook Air, turn off Bluetooth and restart.
10. Start up in safe mode. Don't log in; just restart as usual when the login screen appears. When you do, make sure the words "Safe Boot" do not appear in the login screen. If they do, the system is still in safe mode and sound won't work.
11. Reset the NVRAM.
12. Reset the SMC.
13. Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/Preferences/Audio
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Recreate your settings in the Sound preference pane.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
14. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data.
15. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store. -
Hello. I just got the iPhone 5s today and I did a restore from icloud to it but none of my apps transferred. I checked on my computer and only Facebook and candy crush show up. How can I get them back?
Try restoring the backup again. Your apps and other purchased media should have been restored from your backup if they were on your old phone when you backed it up.

I have the newest version of the iPad and can not see it under devices in my iTunes account on my PC. I can however see my iPod touch under devices and sync it. How can I get my iPad to show under devices and sync as well? I have also tried may suggestions on the apple support site and none have worked. Any suggestions are welcome.

when saving my illustrator file to a pdf it doesnt show all the artwork ie boxes are hidden in the pdf or only showing part of them. Even some text is hidden. I have flattened the artwork so everything is in one layer. How can I fix this?

I have indicated on the attached jpeg where the problem is, basically a line of text is missing at the top and part of the feeding diagram is missing. I created the artwork in different layer and then flattened. All text has been converted to outlines, however the areas being affected have no transparency, I have used solid fills or no fills. I get the same result when I export the file as a jpeg. Hope you can help. -

FYI, I am on a new Mac Mini with OS X 10.8.3 and Safari 6.0.4.Some websites request the web browser to NOT autofill the username, password. It is possible the library site is doing that. Your previous firefox on the PC may have been sufficiently old to not be able to handle such a request. There are password managers you can get to over-ride such things (search Safari extensions).

Sometimes in a busy area, like a large shopping mall, my WIFI dropdown menu has a dozen or more selections, and my own hotspot (MIFI) does not show up. How do I get the Mac to ignore the dozen other options and find just my MIFI connection?
System Preferences>Network- Unlock padlock. Highlight Airport. Network Name-select your name. Click on the Advanced button. Airport/Preferred Networks-delete all that is not your network.
Place a check mark next to "Remember networks this computer has joined." Click the OK button and lock the padlock. Restart your computer. -
I am going to restore my Macbook Pro to it's factory condition. I do this every once in a while because it seems to improve performance. I backup everything to an external drive and then I restore only what I want from my backup drive. In iTunes I have renamed a lot of my songs. Last time I cleaned off my mac and restored/reloaded my music I had to rename all those songs again. It took me about 2 weeks to reorganize my music. How do I get iTunes to remember all of those names and keep everything exactly the same when I restore/reload the music into iTunes?

Use Time Machine, backup everything, do the reinstall (I recommend you don't do it) then restore your user folder with Time Machine.
