Firefox issue with quiz?

Hi I finished the quiz for week 1 on Firefox, it showed my score and prompted me to press the finish button to continue. When I do nothing happens, so I'm unsure if my score has been recorded. I know some of the other discussions mentioned that there was a small bug or issue in IE, but I thought it best to report that I was having a similar issue with Firefox.

Hi Damian -
Thank you.  As I noted in this post, later versions of FF (not sure starting with which version) disallow windows closing.

  • Firefox issues with multiple users on a single computer.

I have an issue with Firefox and multiple users on my computer. There are two users setup and I'm running Win7 Ultimate x64. When the other user logs in, my settings in Firefox get screwed up somehow. Even if that user does not open Firefox.
    Examples of problems this causes:
Gmail - Cannot load the standard interface, however it will load the HTML only interface.
    Facebook - Cannot post anything.
vBulletin Forums - Some forums will no longer normally load - a text-only version loads as if I was browsing from a mobile device.
There may be other issues, but these are the main ones. If I clear my cookies, cache and browsing and download history, then restart Firefox, everything works again.
This seems to happen most often when the other user logs in, and uses Firefox to log on to their Gmail account.
    How can I fix this?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.<br />
See [[Basic Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile|Basic Troubleshooting&#58; Make a new profile]]
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

    Hi Beth,
Just an FYI.  Also received another nice piece of information to store in the SpryAssets help file from an online Adobe Certified Course Director:
Thanks for your email! It isn’t often I get a great question like that. I had to do some digging, but I came up with a solution. You might have already worked your way through it, but if not the problem is Firefox’s (and Opera’s) caching that’s causing the issue in question. To fix it, you have to reset the submenu dynamic class names when the user clicks the link (re-caching the page is a bad idea).
This is a pretty simple javascript fix. The problem was so interesting that I posted the fix to my blog. You can check out the solution here: http://www.simpleprimate.com/?p=30 if you haven’t already figured it out.

  • Linux Mint freezee because of firefox issues with big images

I had few system freezes recently. I am not sure what is the cause of it, but the last one happened when I tried to open image on this website:
    http://www.wykop.pl/wpis/10937070/pojechalem-dzis-zobaczyc-co-to-za-dzielnica-dublin/
My whole system stop responding - both screens frozen, but I could still here sounds from kodi. Could not switch to second terminal.
I use the website on windows 7 firefox without issues. However I've got couple of freezes during upload or clicking on the images. Not sure what could cause the system to freeze, but firefox would be the process which took up to 100% of one core previously.
    UPDATE:
Actually System freeze happened on google street view as well, so it is not website related.

  • Adobe Presenter Issues with Quiz

All quiz questions set as required, all included in 1 of 5 question groups, and when published, I get the message " There are unattempted questions in the quiz. Clicking on Yes will take you out of the quiz. Click on No to continue the quiz", even though I know I have completed (answered) all 20 questions but on the last question, the submit button doesn't forward the presentation to the final results page as it used to.  I have to click yes to get out of the quiz to view the slide with my test results, indicating I completed all 20.
so two issues:  1) why does it say unattempted questions when all have been attempted, and 2) why doesn't the submit button on the last question work to get out of the 5th  question group and onto the results slide??
I have since turned off the "unattempted questions" option as a work around.

Try changing the the quiz setting to Answer All instead of Required. That may help call out which question is causing the issue.
Beyond that, I feel like I would need to see the PPT slide deck to be able to give more insight. It may also be something that need to be looked at by Support.

  • Pass/Fail issue with Quiz and Click Buttons

Got a complicated one for ya!
I have a project that has about 100 quiz questions.  I want to add slides with an image for backgrownd, a voice over and a "Click Button" to be used like a Simulation.  If the "Click Button" is not clicked on, I want the slide to act like a Quiz and be marked as wrong.
At the end of the Quiz I want the Pass/Fail function to be: If Pass: "Continue" then if Fail "Jump to Slide". This Failed Slide would jump to the last slide; the end of the project with a "Thank you".  If Passed, the project continues to display more information on other slides.
The tests I have done the Pass/Fail seems to not be working.  If failed, the project continues just like the Passed even though the "Pass/Fail" options are marked correctly.
    What do you think?

Also check the options under Quiz > Settings > Required.  It could be that you have it set to something other than Optional which might be restricting things.

  • Firefox issue with SWC and sliders/radio

    Hello,
I am having an issue where my radios and sliders aren't
showing up in Firefox. I have a Flash CS3 using AS3 inerface that I
am exporting to a .swc file. The flash/swc uses the built in slider
and radio buttons in it. I pull that swc into the larger Flex app
where is is used. Everything works great in IE, but for some
reason, the radios and slider don't show up in Firefox. Has anyone
else had this issue/problem? Any help would be great!

  • Captivate 6 issue with quiz remediation

    Hi,
    I have below scenario,
    slide 1
    slide 2
    slide 3
quiz slide: In the quiz slide if user enters correct answer it should take to the next slide, if user enters wrong answer should go back to Slide 3 to review the content. After review should be able to take quiz again.
    slide 4
    slide 5
Currently issue is when user enters wrong answer, he is redirected to slide 3 for review but when he comes back to quiz slide submit button is disabled. i tried several options like adding click interaction on slide 3 and including this as part of quiz scope. nothing worked. Please help me out to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Krishna

Captivate 6 includes a new feature called Return to Quiz.
You can set the On Last Attempt action on the Quiz slide to jump to your remediation slide (3).  You can place a button on that slide labelled as Next and set its action as Return to Quiz.  The first time the user passes through that remediation slide, the button action defaults to Continue.  But if you returned to that slide from a failed question slide, then on clicking the button again it would jump you back to the question slide you just failed, and the user would be given another attempt at the question.
I'm not personally in favour of this particular 'feature' because it basically means the user can loop around as many times as they want until they get the question correct.  In my view this isn't great instructional design.
But it might be good enough for what you want.

  • Alignment issues with quiz boxes in captivate 7

when viewing quiz check boxes with their associated question they seem aligned in captivate. but when i preview the slide or publish the slide they are no longer aligned.
is there a fix for this?
my work around was to make the questions white and place a blk text box over it so i can manually move the question box separately from the check box.

    Hello and welcome,
Which version of 7? If you don't have 7.0.1.237 yet, it is time to upgrade. I think this is one of the fixed bugs.

  • FireFox -- Issue with Spry Gallery

I posted this a few months ago and I was wondering if I could
    get an answer.
I want to make the images in the Spry gallery fade out before
a new image fades in. In the current mode the images vanish
instantly followed by a fade-in of the next or previous image.
I have been successful in achieving this effect in IE by
removing the following lines of code in the Gallery.js file (in the
    center of the SetMainImage function).
    img.style.opacity = &quot;&quot;;
    img.style.filter = &quot;&quot;;
I also changed the background-color of #mainImageOutline in
the css file to #000000 (black). I believe this also resolved the
    white speck problem.
Although the fade-out does work properly in IE it does not
work in FireFox. I believe it is the result of the
    Spry.Effect.getOpacity or Spry.Effect.getStyleProp functions not
    being properly calibrated for Firefox.
    quote:
    gBehaviorsArray[&quot;mainImage&quot;] = new
    Spry.Effect.Opacity(img, Spry.Effect.getOpacity(img), 0, {
    duration: 400,
In the above line of gallery.js I replaced
    &quot;Spry.Effect.getOpacity(img)&quot; by
&quot;1&quot; and that triggered the desired effect for
FireFox although it of course has the habit to set the current
image's opacity to full before fading in to the next image.
    Help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.
