Firefox jumps to the right on opening page so that half of information is missing.

When I open FireFox browser in order to access a website or email, the information on the screen jumps to the right, thus I can only see half of the page and the left half of my screen is blank. I have managed to get round this by using Full Screen, but then parts of the Tool Bar (or is it the Menu Bar? The one at the top of the screen) and all the Task Bar are missing. This happened after I had downloaded Firdox5 last week and also the latest update from McAfee. Does anyone else have this problem and how can I correct it? Also, McAfee Site Advisor no longer works with FireFox5 and I have to use Internet Explorer where the Site Advisor is working.

I'm using Firefox as my browser and the email may say Yahoo Mail, but I get the package from Firefox. Fortunately, I clicked some email link on the menu and miraculously the calendar appeared. Firefox may not take responsibility for the email, but if the email is in the Firefox package, I attribute the email responsibility to Firefox.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Firefox 4 deleted the feature to the right of the "go forward one page" button" that showed all the websites I'd visited in the chain from Home to the present one.

There was a little arrow in Firefox 3 to the right of the "go forward one page" arrow that I could click and it would display a list of the websites I'd viewed since I left "home". That is missing in Firefox 4. It is very tedious to have to "go back one page" over and over until I finally get to Home [or another earlier website]. Some websites won't even let me "go back" beyond their own websites, so I have to close Firefox altogether and start over, to get to a previous website. I really miss that little arrow!!

Click-hold the unified Back / Forward button, or right-click it to get the Back / Forward history for that tab.

By default Firefox opens a blank page for a new Tab, there is no setting to change that action without installing an add-on.

Triggers jumping to the right of composition

Ive created hundreds of pages using nested blank composion widget. Have the latest version of muse.
Now when I try to use a single nested blank composition with one trigger the trigger continues to jump to the right of the composition.
Once again I have done hundreds of pages using this process. And today it fails to work.
I have tried this with building several new web sites and the same continues to happen.
The trigger seems to be blocked by the composition and will not let it move to the left or down.
Help.
Can my Muse appsdata be corrupt.

These are not wet sites per say.
The pages I create are for Industrial machine controlers. Mostly back end support material like parts amnuals, directories, services manuals, which have the look and feel of the GUI, which I also create, etc.
These are presented on touch sreen for the end user, service personel, dealers.
These are nested widgets.
I did shut down my computer.
So far it seems be be working corretly.
I hope this is not a sign of a bug emerging.

You have obviously not done what you think you have done.
You have tried to open a .pages document in TextEdit which can't read them.
If you are confused which program you are in look to the top left of the menu.
You can either drag the .pages file onto the Pages icon on the Dock, open it from within Pages' Open dialog, double click on it or right mouse click > open with.

Desktop icons keep jumping to the right

Okay, suddenly all my desktop items jumped to the right of the desktop, and I can't put them back to - for example - topleft.
It happened after I imported a CD into iTunes (a Beatles album, the irony). I wanted to access the CD to watch the documentary, but the CD did not show up in the Finder. I also could not select any icon on my desktop, could not dubble click the icon for my harddrive for example. So I went to File > New Finder-window and opened the CD from within that window. I watched the documentary and then I wanted to copy it to my desktop. As soon as I dragged the .mov file to my desktop, all icons jumped to the right.

Cannot open Pages documents that I've worked on. I open a new document, work on it, then save and close it. When I try to open the document again, I get the following message: The document "[name]" could not be opened. The file isn't in the correct form

I have downloaded the latest update to iWork, but that doesn't help.

I am using Pages '09 version 4.0.5 (852)

A few general trouble shooting tips that may apply here:
1. If you used Software Update to do the OS update(s) to reach 10.6.7, go to http://support.apple.com/downloads/ and download and apply the Mac OS v10.6.7 Combo Updater. The Combo Updater contains some fixes that were not included in the incremental updaters used by Software Update.
1a. Check that you have the current version of Pages (and of the other iWork applications) installed. All three applications' current version numbers end in .0.5
2. A common cause of malfunctioning applications is a corrupted preferences file (.plist file). Your Pages '09's plist is at yourname > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iWork.pages.plist
Quit Pages, locate the file and Drag it to the Desktop (or to the Trash).
Restart Pages and attempt to open one of the files.
If all is well, Trash the plist file and empty the Trash.
If there's no change, AND you've made changes to the Preferences that you wish to keep, drag the file back to its previous location, replacing any new one that has been created.

I just got my mac a month ago so go easy on me but I was just working with the pages that was already on it, and then today I know it updated, and now I am unable to open a lot of my documents!:( Idk what you mean by the icloud version lol sorry! As for the version, when I open pages from my apps and click 'about' it says version 5.1? And when I open the document it just goes grey and kind of blinks and doesnt open? No error message or any indication of why it will not open now when I for sure have opened it in the past! Andddd for the OS X I think it is 10.9.1 ??

Sometimes a restart can fix this issue, but sometimes you have to fix the iTunes Library.itl file.
Try quitting iTunes, renaming the itunes file "iTunes Library.itl" to "iTunes Library Old.itl"
then open itunes again
This should generate a new library file.
From this point you can try two different avenues.
1. Re-add everything to your library by going to the iTunes file menu, and selecting "add to library"
2. You can try deleting the iTunes Library.itl you created, changing the name of the old file back to iTunes Library.itl
I hope this helps. I did something like this a while back and it worked for me.

That's it! When I drop a clip on V2 the clip immediately below it jumps to the right leaving a gap in the timeline.

Not really, I managed to install LiveType so that it worked, last Sunday!
I had been playing (struggling) around with LT and was dropping a "hyper-space" background I had just created into the TimeLine.
It was then that I noticed the baffling phenomenon and remembered it had happened on previous occasions.
So I am just messing about. Perhaps my next film will be a "Starwars Epic" or a rip-off of "I'm a Ladeee" from "Little Britain"...........
.......It could even be a combination of the two......Now there's a thought - Darth Vader in drag!

If you have another pointing device installed, remember that the Mac uses "all sources live". You can literally use two or more mice or two or more keyboards at once.
Your trackpad, if that is what you are using, must be very clean. Any debris may be seen as another "finger".

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well
In case that your OS is Windows 7 (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Open new windows explorer, to to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Paste file "SQLite3.dll" to the location.
5. Reboot your computer, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
