Firefox keeps crashing, crash report example included.
Hi, for the last two weeks, firefox has constantly been crashing at random intervals, or sometimes just giving me the spinning loading wheel and jamming up.
I tried three antivirus software, Trend Micro Housecall, AVG, and malwarebytes. Malwarebytes found two trojan agents and got rid of them. Problem is, the crashing problem persists. I've uninstalled/reinstalled. I've tried running firefox in safe mode. I've tried removing/blocking extensions (I only use adblock plus anyway) I even tried running the full scans again - and nothing shows.
Here is the latest crash report. They all claim the same problem: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_WRITE (sometimes it says read)
https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/68daa063-f70d-4d3f-a3ae-f4a582130808
If anyone who knows what this report means could tell me/give me advice i would be very grateful. Thank you.
(by the way, Norton came with the machine, but I use AVG instead, I've used firefox for a year and nothing has gone wrong with it until now)
That crash appears to be most likely to occur after the computer wakes from sleeping, and to be a Microsoft issue. Until MS fix it you may need to avoid sleeping if you wish to prevent crashes.
If Firefox continues to crash and NOT shortly after waking from sleeping pleas try to obtain more Firefox crash IDs

My Firefox keeps on crashing, details listed
My Firefox keeps on crashing; it doesn’t seem to matter what I do it seems. I’ve tried deselecting the “Enable hardware acceleration” for the flash player plugin but it still crashes especially when watching videos on YouTube but it generally happens everywhere. I did a memory test on my pc and removed a bad ram card from my motherboard it still crashed and I still got bsod’s. I’ve wiped my SSD, reinstalled Windows 7, and updated all of the software but it still crashes.
I have the following addons installed for my Firefox, which if any do you think may be causing the problem?
Adblock Edge 2.1.4
Betterprivacy 1.68

Firefox keeps on crashing, - 4 times in an hour! Please help
Recently upgraded to 4.0b6 and Firefox keeps on crashing. It starts out by getting progressively slower and slower, then freezing for a few seconds, then just crashes and all tabs close. On restart everything is mostly saved and I can continue working, but it's impossible to work this way. I doesn't seem linked to any specific site/action.
I have spent a fortune on technician to find malware/viruses and optimise my laptop, but it doesn't seem to help.7th Cash......

Firefox keeps on crashing - i tried all the solutions
My firefox keeps on crashing. So i decided to reinstall Windows XP install all drivers and update them but unfortunately firefox keeps on crashing.
I've tried all the theories on Firefox to solve it but still it keeps on crashing. This happens any time.
If i can't solve this i don't see no further options to make Chrome my default browser.
Who can provide me a solution?
Thank You very much.tleg,
Are you sure that you have the latest AMD Radeon HD video drivers? -
FireFox keeps on crashing & freezing when I am in the middle of viewing content on a certain site like http://affiliate-resources.info for information to use, it drives me nut!
I love using FireFox as my default browser, but lately, with it always & constantly updating itself to new version that, I don't see any improvement, but only bring headaches and pissed me off especially in the middle of checking out something online and all of a sudden, everything just freezes, and the only way for me to continue was to run my CTRL+alt+DELETE button to stop the running of FireFox because it is not responding.
This really sucks. I have been using FireFox as my default browser for years, and I do think that it's the best browser in the world, but man, I sure wish the people at mozilla.org would stop updating FireFox to become a non-working-browser. I just don't see it got any better, but only got worser!
The best FireFox version, to me, was FireFox 3.6 version. I loved using it, but it's not available anymore.
Is there a way I can continue to use FireFox 3.6?
Thanks. It is possible to install and run Firefox 3.6, but it is not advisable as it is out of date and not secure. If you are doing webdesign you will presumably mainly wish to test the latest versions of Firefox rather than an insecure version that is used but only a very small minority of users.

my firefox keeps on crashing i have reloaded it twice ,,there is on patten to it it just crashes ,, also the adobe flash player crashes i have also reloaded that twice ,, my computor is new i have just rebuilt it firefox was ok till i upgraded my ram ,,
Hey earburr,
There are a couple of Knowledge Base articles that might help you. First, I would suggest you take a look at [[Firefox crashes]]. This is a general troubleshooting article for crashes. Next, I'd suggest you look at [[The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed]]. This one is specific to the Flash plugin crash that you mentioned.
Hopefully this helps! -
Why does Firefox keep hanging, crashing, sulking, dying when internet connection behaves? Once it renders the page it should forget about the page. Why does it behave when some link is clicked when there is no internet? It should just say internet not available or some crap. Why die, sulk, crash?? I don't get it! 3 series was much much much better!
I should add, I've re-downloaded Firefox, but that doesn't look like it has helped any. Still get seemingly inexplicable crashes.

Firefox crashes often, report example inside
Hi, firefox has been crashing a lot for the past few weeks and I've tried just about everything.
I've tried running it in firefox safe mode, I've tried reinstalling, I've tried Malwarebytes, superantispyware, AVG, Housecall, TDSS Killer (malware bytes found two trojan agents, but that didn't resolve the problem) I've tried doing virus scans in safe mode, I've even reset my whole machine to factory settings.
https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/da09d95d-9289-45fe-a6da-769ca2130810
Here's the latest report. Any ideas? I'm guessing from the lengths I've gone to with antiviruses that isn't the problem...You could try to modify the connection settings.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network : Connection > Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy".

Why does my Firefox keep randomly crashing?
I run windows 7, 32 bit pro.
I use a website that keeps randomly crashing, about 5x a day.
There seems no obvious reason for it.

Firefox keeps on crashing, it seems to happen at random
I have been having a ton of issues with firefox just seemingly randomly crashing. It crashes probably once every 20 minutes of use and is very frustrating. It doesn't seem to consistently happen on any specific web page. It happens on both my macbook pro and my windows 7 machine. I have the same extensions installed on both machines. Even if it is an extension causing the crash shouldn't firefox be robust enough to withstand an extension crashing.
I'm not sure how to proceed.

Why does Firefox keep randomly crashing?
For the past couple of days, Firefox will just randomly crash on me when I'm browsing the Internet. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the crashes. It may happen if I'm on Facebook or watching a YouTube clip. It can happen if I've been on Firefox for 2 hours or 20 minutes, though lately they seem to be happening sooner. Sometimes I'll get the "Firefox has stopped working" dialogue box, but most of the times it just shows loads the Mozilla Crash Report. I was able to get problem details the last time I got the "stopped working" dialogue box:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: firefox.exe
Application Version: 24.0.0.5001
Application Timestamp: 522fd29f
Fault Module Name: RPCRT4.dll

Unfortunately, I don't really know how to read that information and I don't actually know if it is useful. It's all very frustrating because there doesn't seem to be any reason for these crashes. They just happen. Any help in fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.I should add, I've re-downloaded Firefox, but that doesn't look like it has helped any. Still get seemingly inexplicable crashes.
