Im Trying To Figure Out Why Firefox Keeps Crashing Everytime I Try And Go To A Website. I Tried Doing The Steps In One Of The Forums But I Still Get Confused. The Thread Is: ntdll.dll@0x9c405 I Need Help
Firefox used to be excellent, over the past year it has become the biggest pile of crap ever imagined. The plug in container....rubbish...
It crashes all the time. It's just shit.
Firefox used to be the best and now it is basically a massive pile of crap, you should sack all your programmers.
You have failed immensely.
FELL BAD, VERY BAD. IDIOTS.
Everyone I know has uninstalled your pathetic browser. Just don't bother if you can't compete anymore. The best solution now it to use another browser. That is what advice I will give to anyone from now on (being everyone that uses firfox because they all say the same thing)
Losers.

I have a maginon film scanner bought from ALDI. It works with windows but with OSX Maverick software it keeps crashing as soon as I try and capture an image. I cannot find details of software updates anywhere.
Same question answered here : https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5762314?tstart=0
I just popped in with using Mavericks (I got rid of my MBP about a year ago, and just got another one when I got an Air for my wife) and noticed that Mavericks is not working and playing well with a couple of programs I already owned (Paraellels, for example...yes, I spelled it wrong...). I looked for maginon.com and it didn't exist, nor was my google search directed to another location for them, so I postulate that the device may not be in production anymore, thus: no driver updates from the manufacturer.
From my mac-noob-layman's perspective: get some vmware, run windows and use the scanner in your virt machine to capture your images. Put the images in your mac side and work your mac magic on them there.

everytime i try and open firefox it crashes i click to restart it and send report but its the same thing over and over nuthin changes, i used firefox up till like week ago now it will open period.
Can you start Firefox in Safe mode ?
You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

For some unknown reason firefox keeps crashing on my laptop computer. I mostly just use the internet for surfing and for emailing. It is very frustrating when I am trying to write an email and firefox crashes. I have unistalled and reinstalled firefox. I ran a McAfee scan on the computer and it has no problems with spyware or malware. It doesn't crash in safemode either. I am in safe mode now otherwise it would have crashed multiple times while getting to this page and typing this message.
If Firefox crashes frequently but stops crashing when you are in Safe Mode that is a pretty sure sign that there is something wrong with your individual setup of Firefox on your Windows 7 machine.
(The 99 others claiming to have the same problem this week probably have their own distinct and separate problems - if you are one of those 99 it may make sense to start your own questions about your problems, if you do not see suitable answers).
Many malware problems would continue even in Firefox's safe mode, so the good news is that malware may not be your problem.
Note that safe mode does not disable plugins, you may wish to consider testing with your plugins disabled, just in case they are interacting with something. To temporarily disable plugins use
* Firefox button -> Add-ons -> |Plugins|
You do not list the Firefox extensions that are in use, maybe one of them is a problem. I suggest you try Firefox with half of them disabled, if that solves the problem, the troublesome add-on may be in the other half, disable them all and then try with half of the other half enabled. (If you have more than a handful of add-ons it is faster testing like that than enabling or disabling one at a time)
One very important question is how do you know Firefox is crashing ? <br/>will you please explain exactly what happens, and what if any error messages you are seeing. (If firefox freezes/hangs that may be different from Firefox or the OS crashing, and require different solutions).
On a general note the following articles may help with troubleshooting:
* basic troubleshooting
* troubleshooting extensions and themes
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_%28Firefox%29
and if the problem is a true crash
* see firefox crashes -

It sounds like you're having trouble with Firefox for Desktop. I'd recommend contacting the Firefox for Desktop support forum here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/desktop ; they'll be more knowledgeable and better able to answer your questions than the volunteers here at the Firefox OS forum.

Firefox is crashing every single time I try and open it
After using Firefox on my laptops for years proble free a few days ago it started crashing every single time I tried to open it,The web page opens for about one second then crashes and I get the crash report dialogue box this happens in safe mode as well. I do not have time to do any editing to my browser page as it crashes within a second. I have uninsalled and reinstalled Firefox 3.68 and have just downloaded the beta 4 to see if that might work but same problem.IE works fine and from there have tried to load dozens of websites on firefox as firefox is my default browser. As I have said the site loads no problem but instantly crashes. Very grateful for any help

Firefox keeps crashing even in safemode and with new profile.
Firefox started crashing every minute or so after a recent Windows update (coincidence). After trying the following procedures (see below), creating a new profile solves the problem until I select "Automatically add" on this page, so the problem must be related to running scripts. (it also means I can't automatically add my troubleshooting information)
These are the procedures I attempted after the problem started which did NOT fix the problem:
Uninstalled most recent Windows updates.
Disabled Networxs and Spybot.
Ran Firefox in safe mode.
Run full virus scan (Malwarebytes).
Reinstalled Firefox.
System restore to before most recent Windows updates.
System restore to last week (problem only started yesterday).
Re-reinstalled Firefox.
(note: my drivers are all up to date)
Created a new profile which this allows me to browse without crashing until (as far as I can tell) Firefox attempts to run certain scripts. In the old profile Firefox crashes within two minutes even if I do nothing except open the browser and leave it alone.
Given that the problem persisted even in safe mode the problem must not be add-on related. And since Firefox still crashes with a new profile is must not be a configuration conflict. But it also pesists after a system restore and being reinstalled, so it must be something Firefox uses outside of the profile files that isn't an add on and isn't overwritten.
I don't want to do a complete clean install because that would mean losing my history, passwords, customized add-ons (user dictionary, AdBlock scripts, NoScript allow/block list, etc.), bookmarks (I realise I can recover those), and custom about:config lines. It was working fine two days ago so it has to be something that auto-updates in the background because I have all updates (Firefox, Windows, etc.) set to manual exactly so I can avoid nasty surprises like this one.
Any help in resolving this issue so I don't have to start again from scratch and lose literally years of customization would be greatly appreciated.Note that safe mode does not disable plugins (only add-ons). The issue here is most likely a corrupt plugin. It looks like you have a lot of plugins installed, including some known to be very problematic. Specifically these ones:
NPRuntime Script Plug-in Library for Java(TM) Deploy
Questrade IQ Edge detector plugin
Citrix Online App Detector Plugin
Coupons, Inc. Coupon Printer Plugin
NPWLPG
In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

firefox keeps crashing when I try to launch it. I uninstalled the program, but now when I try to download it from your website the download freezes with 1 second left. This has happened several times.
Hello Deb,
Something fishy going on with those particular files. But without looking at them directly I couldn't say what. Usually in a case like this the problem is some of the metadata that is attached to the file. Where did these files come from? A camera, a scanner, the internet?
An explanation about the Watched Folder function: It looks for changes to a folder, not just automatically grabbing whatever files are in it. Generally, you want to select an empty folder as a Watch Folder. Once this has been set up, as you add files to this folder they will be imported into the Organizer. If you start with a folder full of images, those will be ignored, any new items will be added.

Firefox keeps crashing.
I have a Dell Windows 7 Professional 64-bit machine.
Firefox keeps crashing. "Sorry. Firefox had to close. We'll try to restore your page." (Not exact message.)
I have screen shots of the details, which are always the same. The first two lines of the details are: AdapterDeviceID: 0x2e22
AdapterVendorID: 0x8086
With the help of technicians I have tried the following fixes, none of which work:
Checked my video drivers.
Updated my Intel drivers.
Fiddled with the compatibility window. Tried Windows 7 and Windows XP. Checked and unchecked various items.
Clicked on Mozilla's "troubleshoot compatibility," which made some changes.
I am not computer-savvy. However, anyone who cares to respond can make your suggestions as technical as you need to; I'll share them with my technician.Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
While you are in safe mode;
Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar.
Followed by;
Windows; Tools > Options
Linux; Edit > Preferences
Mac; application name > Preferences
Then Advanced > General.
Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites and see if there is still a problem. Then restart. -

Hi,
My Firefox keeps crashing, seemingly randomly. It could be when I open a new page, or when just reading through a page of text.
I've tried starting in safe mode, doing multiple refreshes, reinstalling Firefox, and disabling redundant plugins like multiple shockwave.
Any help would be appreciated. I love Firefox, but this has been making it extremely frustrating to use.

Thanks,
Joshhi Josh, that looks like a crash triggered by your nvidia graphics driver in relation to hardware acceleration in firefox - please try updating the graphics driver for your model on the nvidia website, or in case this doesn't solve the issue or there is no new version available at the moment, disable hardware acceleration in the firefox menu ≡ > options > advanced > general (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).
