Firefox keeps losing password setting on my home page and i have to keep logging in all the time

Whenever I start Firefox it goes to my homepage, however it cannot remember my settings although it was saved and ticked to remember it, Even after logging it, Firefox will sort of log out of the page and I have to log in again. Thought it was my yahoo setting, tried it on explorer and do not have this problem.

* Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and password exceptions.
* Make sure that you not run Firefox in (permanent) [[Private Browsing]] mode

Everytime I close Firefox and then try to reopen it, it says that I am unable to do so as Firefox is already running (even though it's closed) and I have to restart my laptop all the time.

For about a week now when I have closed Firefox down then I try to reopen it the screen message states that Firefox is already running and I have to restart my laptop every time. This is becoming very frustrating and time-consuming.

I have the same problem on my notebook but I don't restart. Just do the control, alt, delete and bring up your task manager. Then scroll down to Firefox, end process and close. Now you should be able to restart FF. Not a fix but better than having to restart your laptop.

I have a customized Yahoo as a home page, but while browsing, Firefox returns it to the general Yahoo home page and I have to "sign in" to get the customized page back.

Whenever I move to the Yahoo mail, I have to "sign in" with Yahoo in order to get back to the customized Yahoo home page. I don't mind doing that when I use the Yahoo mail system, but recently, whenever I switch from FireFox to another browser, when I return to Firefox, I am returned to the Yahoo general page and I have to "sign in" to get back to the customized version of my home page.

I have a problem with bookmarks, all the time when I start Firefox the bookmarks is deleted, or not there. And I need to import them again and again, also the cookies, cash are deleted.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Frequently when I reopen Firefox, I am greeted with a page that wants to reopen a previously viewed site. I '''never''' want this page to come up when I open Firefox. You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the affected files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

My opening page won't load the home page even though I set it to home page in preferences. Instead it always opens to the last page I had when I last closed. I'd like it to open to my home page. I've tried dumping and reloading Safari, I have 5.1.2.

I can't get it to set a blank home page, and the instructions given for this don't work.

The instructions say that if you want a blank home page, you should open a new tab, then click on the icon to the left of the space where the website name would be and drag it to the Home icon. Unfortunately, when I click on that icon, I can't grab and move it.

Firefox crashes several minutes after opening every time I use it. I think Firefox was updated shortly before this started. Uninstalling and reinstalling have not helped. Updating all plug-ins has also had no effect. Would appreciate help fixing this.

Browser starts out working normally but within a few minutes it freezes, stops responing and I have to close it using Task Manager. When I open Task Manager, it shows two Firefox programs running with different icons even though I only opened one window.

iTunes saves out a new copy of the entire library file every time a change is made to the library. This is not new behavior.
The slowdowns I have seen like this have ususally been caused by:
A virus
or
Some anti-virus software is incorrectly interpreting the rewriting of the file and is causing a problem.
Either way, you should definitely update your anti-virus software and definitions to the latest, and run a full scan of your system. If that does not help, you may want to recreate your iTunes library.

I have an infoaxe add-on attached to my Firefox browser. It took over my home page and is stuck in my browser with no way to uninstall it. I need help!

Standard uninstall instructions are unavailable. add and remove programming is also unavailable. It isn't shown in add-ons either.

If you had installed infoaxe, uninstalling it from your browser is extremely easy. For firefox, Go to Tools->Addons->Infoaxe Firefox Toolbar. Now click on uninstall and restart your browser.
You can reset your browser homepage by going to Tools -> Options in Firefox and Tools -> Internet Options in Internet Explorer.
