Firefox keeps refreshing itself while I write emails.

It only happens in email sites like yahoomail and gmail. On facebook and as I write in here it isn't a problem. It gets really annoying when half of the letters I type don't transfer as it refreshes every few seconds...
I already tried turning the sites on simple html. the problem persisted. It didn't happen when I tried using my alternate browser.

And next day, although my addons appear in the sidebar, the compatibility checker (recommended here) tells me that ALL my addons are incompatible. Even the Evernote clipper doesn't work.
Also, I have done small tests and any icons I put into the navigation toolbar disappear when I restart Firefox.
I can't decide whether to download Firefox 9 or go back to a year old 3. something version, but will have to decide within the next few hours as I need to get functioning again.

  • IPod keeps reseting itself while updating

I've had previous trouble with my 60GB iPod Video, but I think this is the last problem... I am trying to update my iPod but while its updating the iPod keeps reseting itself over and over again... please help!!!

There's nothing you can do but bring it back to the store. Mine does the same thing, it just goes to show that Apple is so busy pushing these new iPods on us and releasing them too soon that the customers end up having to deal with their hardware failures---all because they didn't take the time to test these!!!

  • Firefox keeps opening itself on it's own after PC startup

Two days ago I encountered this problem. Each time my PC would start, FireFox would open itself on it's own and display the home page. I tried scanning the system with Avast! Antivirus and MalwareBytes AntiMalware, but nothing has been found. Could it be that some of the add-ons are forcing Firefox to do so, or do I have some sort of malware that my AV programs can't find?

I looked under both locations, and found nothing. When I typed in msconfig in Start>Run..., I checked System Configuration Utility, and found one process that puzzled me... http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/3281/wuththehell.jpg
I unchecked it and closed the window after saving, but didnt restart. Later on I decided to take a look at it again, and when I opened the window, the process was gone.

  • Nano keeps rebooting itself while updating

So, whenver the ipod first sets itself up, renames itself, etc., everything seems fine. I then start loading songs onto it and it seems to be going fine, until it randomly reboots itself. And when windows recognizes it again, the corrupt file ballon pops up. itunes now recognizes it as a generic IPOD, not the renamed one from setup. And it says there's anywhere from 200 to 600 mbs used up on the ipod, but there's nothing on the thing. So I restore it... and it goes through the same process all over again. So I uninstall both itunes and the updater, reinstall, restore... do the five rs thing untill the cows come home, same thing every time. Reformat the ipod with the hp utility? Sure, doesn't help. Nothing I've been able to find on this forum or apple's support site is of any help.
I already returned one nano for this same problem. The second one keeps doing the same thing. So you would think its my computer, right? That is, except for the fact that my wife's nano works just fine with no problems whatsoever. What the heck is going on with this thing? Could it be a bad batch of nanos? Should I bring this one back and try a third?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i had the same problem ... and came across it again.

  • Firefox keeps ruining itself. Why?

It keeps getting worse. No it is not an extension. No it is not my computer(s). I too am a developer, I know my hardware and keep everything updated. Yes I know about:config and no I haven't voided my warranty! In fact I have erased Firefox and re-installed, and done multiple FF default resets. Oh but no, FF continues to update to worse versions and continues to screw everything up. What we in school jokingly called "Internet Exploder" is now opening websites FF can't (yes even with Flash updated). Are you guys and girls just giving up on Open Source? You have jumped over 20 versions in a few years and seem lost. I have been using IE more and more and that sucks! I have turned on SO many friends and family to use FF and now feel ashamed and overworked fixing their computer issues due to your extreme negligence. Oh, and by the way, your Chrome wannabe makeover sucks too! It confuses me that you took that cowardly/copycat stance, since I've been using Chrome so much more trying to figure out how to transfer all my 20 some odd years of Firefox user settings and bookmarks and passwords to Chrome. I mean come on! You want to look like them so much but behave poorly, why would I not just use Chrome? Well, because I LOVE FireFox that's why! But you keep updating to pure crap and pushing me, US, away! Why?
Well, Goodbye. I will miss you while I shuffle through these crap IE, Chrome, And Safari attempts to be like you, but at least they get the job done! Unlike YOU.

  • Firefox keeps making me sign in to email though I've checked the keep me signed in option

It also started to freeze a lot. these problems started when I updated to 4.0. I don't know what version I had before that. I went back and got 3.6.3 and it doesn't freeze but I still have to sign into att yahoo email frequently each day. very annoying. attyahoo help chat tried to help by switching from the "leave signed in option" to a different frequency and then back to "leave signed in". It worked for one or two times then went back to telling me to sign in again.

  • Firefox keeps blocking my ability to read emails using chtah. It doesn't start like this but it eventually blocks the code. this interferes with my email.

Firefox blocks the code CHTAH, which is used by many of my email contacts to load pictures. This is not something that happens right away but over time. I need to delete Firefox and all saved information and reload the software in order to read my email. This has happened with several versions of Firefox and several versions of antivirus products.

Reset the zoom level for each of those websites. <br />
    See this: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Page+Zoom
If you hold the Ctrl key and use the scroll wheel to move down the page, you will changed the zoom level of that domain.
The Firefox [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Page+Zoom Page Zoom] feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox, as with some other browsers.
Try the Default FullZoom Level extension: <br />

Firefox refreshes a webpage every second (if not faster ). This happens with certain websites and wont't let me stop it. Amazon.com's home page is one of them. Please advice.

    * "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
    * "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
    * [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • Why does firefox keeps forcing itself on top of all other windows? it doesn't matter what website im on, it always does it! Really gets on my nerves when im watching a video only to have it minimized and firefox slammed in my face lol...

It's not to do with what website I'm on - Firefox ALWAYS does this even if I just have a blank tab open! Seems to happen in ubuntu and windows 7. Does anyone know why this is??

    Hi,
You can consider the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems Reset Firefox] feature via '''Help''' ('''Alt''' + '''H''') > '''Troubleshooting Information'''. If it is okay, you can then install the Mozilla Archive Format add-on.
If you have security software installed you can try to delete all existing entries for Firefox and its sub processes in the different configuration modules and try to fully trust/allow Firefox afresh. Even after network access is completed, Firefox would still need unlimited access to its disk cache/memory as well as its files. Please see [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Firewalls this].

  • Itunes 11 keeps opening itself

Itunes keeps opening itself while I'm working in an order program.
    This is very annoying.
I checked the settings but I can't find a solution.
    Can anyone help ?

This issue often occurs if you have an iDevice Syncing or Charging using your Mac.You probably have iTunes set to open automatically right after an iPod/iPhone/iPad is plugged in.If you have an iDevice plugged in,go to it's info screen and see if it's set to start iTunes automatically when it's plugged in.Also, see if the application is set to run on start-up.I hope this helps.
