Firefox Mobile available for those with no Android Market
Seems the article [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/install-firefox-mobile#os=android&browser=m6 "How do I install Firefox on a mobile device?" ] requires Android Market.
FYI: "Android Market" is only available with Google's GMS (Google Mobile Services) kit, and only for those devices Google has had the opportunity to approve. In addition there are limitations from which countries developers are allowed to publish and sell applications via Android Market.
Android being Open Source, is probably used on just as many non-certified by Google devices.
There are reputable alternative Marketplaces that power such devices ranging from tablets, Android TV's, E-book readers, etc that come preloaded (or for users download) such as the [http://slideme.org/sam "SlideME Market (SAM)" ]. Any reason, (beyond the effort it takes to stock the apk onto other stores) why Firefox Mobile for Android could not be on such stores, including Amazon Appstore (another reputable, but limited to US only)?
Firefox makes use of a lot of the features that the Android market has such as access to select devices (only ARMv7 + 512mb RAM), provides updates, and collecting Java crash data. If someone has a device that meets the minimum specs and wants to deal with updating Firefox themselves Firefox mobile can be found on the ftp.
Due to the above reasons and others I'm forgetting 3rd party markets are not a high priority.

Is Firefox Mobile available for the HTC Tilt 2?
I've noticed for the Firefox Mobile that it has a list of HTC devices. I have a HTC Tilt 2 (AT&T - Windows Phone) that runs on HTC Sense. Would it run on this?
Sorry, we are no longer developing Firefox for Windows Mobile (or Windows Phone). For more information, see [[Will Firefox work on my phone?]]

When will Firefox be available for an HTC Wildfire (Android 2.1)
Unable to load mobile version - Android 2.1 HTC Wildfire not in list of tested phones.
It is in the list at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android#System_Requirements as being not supported due to using a ARMv6 chip.

How do I send my pages attachment so that it will open for those with Microsoft word?
How do I send my pages attachment so that it will open for those with Microsoft Word?
Hi Victoria,
Pages does not run on Windows.
Word cannot open a Pages file.
If you want someone without pages to be able to open your attachment, you will have to send it in a format openable on the recipient's computer.
If the recipient needs only to read the document, the most universal format is pdf. To send a pdf copy of your file, press command-P to open the Print dialogue, then click the PDF button and choose email PDF. This will open a new message in your default email client and attach the pdf file to that message.
If the recipient needs to be able to edit/change your document, and has MS Word, then either Save a copy as a Word file or go File > Export and choose Word as the file format for the export.
Be aware that MS Word does not support all features of Pages (and vice versa), and that formatting of the document may be affected by font substitution if you use fonts that are not available on the recipient's machine.
Regards,

Apple requires all web browsers in ios to use it's web browser framework. Apple has done most of the work for writing a web browser app. That is why you see so many web browsers in ios. Firefox doesn't use this framework on the Mac. It would have to toss much of the firefox code and replace it with Apple's framework.
If you need a web browser with more features, try iCab.

Just downloaded and installed Firefox mobile on my Dell Streak5, running Android 2.3.3. Appears to have installed ok but the font or language is not English. It looks like hieroglyphics with just symbols, fractions, arrows, etc.
I have the same problem. The system font is not readable. it looks like a symbol font. I try to change the language in preference but the only language that is readable (written not in symbols) is Russian - Cyrillic and again the system font is like symbols. When I try to write some site URL in English it appears in symbols but the site is opening correctly.

What is the maximum resolution available for use with the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI adapter?
Hey guys,
I found out an answer by myself...
The missing link : the MacBook Pro needs to be powered... as in you need to plug the charger in...
In conclusion, you simply plug everything, turn on the MacBook Pro, close the lid, and there you go ! -

I own a Coby Kyros MID7024; it has android 2.2. However it is not a mobile phone, therefore it's impossible to download anything from the Android Market; it provides Appslib by default, and firefox is not available there (yet ?).
Coby Kyros tablets do not ship with Google Mobile applications such as the Google Market or Gmail. It does not need to be a phone to have Google Market.
You can install it manually. http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/7.0.1/android/en-US/
It has essentially a Cortex-A8 (ARMv7 and 512MB RAM so it should work. -
Whether firefox mobile is available for LG Optimus One (Android 2.2)
I am trying to install firefox mobile on my mobile LG Optimus One (having Android 2.2). But it is not getting installed.
Is it available for this device. If yes, what procedure should I follow to download it.
Thank you.The mobile version of Firefox is dependent upon the processor being used. The LG Optimus One has an ARM 11 processor which uses the ARMv6 architecture. The mobile version of Firefox requires a processor that uses the ARMv7 architecture. There are experimental builds that '''may '''work on the LG Optimus One, for details see https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android in particular the part about the ARMv6 experimental builds.

simple question. no further details.
You can find Firefox mobile in the Android market. If you want our tablet specific UI try the Aurora channel http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/ if you allow the installation of non-market apps.
