Firefox no longer works for many Banks

The whole point of Firefox was that it was customizable.
Now it doesn't work. It doesn't even work on your own pages.
I may as well use AppleSafari or switch to Chrome or Opera.
I hate having to waste my time customizing Chrome, but will seriously consider doing it.
I don't have time to try to get Firefox to work on Bank of America and Citibank. It does work for my Wells Fargo account.

and there are a score of hits.
I echo http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=184258 that FF eats up %CPU
I am sure that one of my favorite add-ons is the problem or that it is one of the security and privacy items that I use. When I was younger I had time and energy to step thru all the add-ons one by one and see which one did not for; now I don't. NightlyTester (add-on) used to provide me with a list of add-ons. Now it doesn't or doesn't under the current regime of Firefox, so, again, a laborious process of listing.
One other issue relating to upgrades and old add-ons. I used to have a long horizontal list of favorite bookmarks, possibly abbreviated to favicons, With the tabs below that were currently open, and the name of the browser on top (because of multiple gmail or facebook accts, I use several browsers.) What focus group did you use to put me back in the unfamiliar territory of the sharp edge of a learning curve? (Yes, ofc, I used Classic Theme Restorer to put things right.)

Simply stated, firefox no longer works for my husband. Firefox will not open when my husband is user.

As a user, firefox will open for me. As a user, firefox will not open for my husband. Yesterday McAfee had to remotely turn the McAfee firewall back on. I don't know if during this process it somehow affected firefox.

1. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
2. Select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data...
and confirm. Test.
3. If the above steps don't resolve the problem, please describe it in more detail.

Additionally, using an old version of Firefox is ill-advised as old versions contain uncorrected security vulnerabilities. Roboform has been very good lately in keeping their products updated for new Firefox releases and any problems with their products should be reported to them so that they can address any issues and release an update if needed.

Command plus is no longer working for me correctly in Safari 8.0.2. When I use it to zoom in a safari window, it makes fonts bigger instead of scaling the entire page bigger like it used to. What changed or what did I accidentally change? This is only happening in Safari. When I use Command Plus in a Chrome or firefox browser window, it works perfectly still.
To explain this a little better, I have a 27" iMac. When I open a browser widow in safari like yahoo.com, The content fits in about a 10.5" section of the screen. If i go to full screen or enlarge the window to fit the full screen the same 10.5" content is centered in my screen. Previously, I could use Command Plus to zoom and the entire page would scale increasing from 10.5" to eventually filling the screen. Now when I use command plus, the font's get bigger and bigger but the page width stays at 10.5"

Welcome to the Support Communities! If I'm understanding you correctly, it appears you have updated Safari to the latest version, but are still using Mountain Lion as your operating system, is that correct?
You may need to adjust your screen resolution, or the zoom settings in the Accessibility pane of System preferences. Usually, zooming changes the size of text or content in a window -- not the size of the window itself. So I usually go to full screen mode in Safari, and then zoom in if I need to enlarge the text.

Ok so I happened to figure it out while on the phone to apple support. Even though the guy was very nice, I think I knew more than him! He was explaining very basic resolution principles I played about. I had the second option in displays resolution. All I did was unplug the HDMI cable, click on 'best for display' then plugged the HDMI in and my resolution on the normal monitor changed to the normal blue, then went black momentarily and then changed to a strange resolution but another window appeared that said SONY BRAVIA HDMI at the top! Hey presto! Don't know why it didn't do it yesterday - I probably left the HDMI cable in or something! Oh well. Problem solved!

I can load my personal bank account information, but can no longer work within my bank's web site to do my internet banking, how do I get back the funcionallity

A few weeks ago I found I could no longer work on my bank account site. I can still access the site and see the balance of my various accounts, but as soon as i try to do anything like go to the bill pay or transfer funds, nothing happens. I have had some success using Internet Explorer, but I'd like to stay with modzilla if possible. How can I regain my computers ability to use my banks site functions ?

Welcome to the Discussions Boards.
Re-download the Facebook APP on your computer and then sync it to the iPhone.
Make sure your computer is logged into the same iTunes ID that shows up on your iPhone when you try to download an APP on the iPhone.
