Firefox not allowing me to install adobe or plug ins

When trying to install adobe flash , I cannot complete the installation, plug in not allowed, unable to play any videos. Not able to make transfers in fantasy football

Hi worthy,<br /> Sorry you are having problems.
See if any of the linked articles help, and post back with replies to my questions please.
Installing a plugin involves installing something in your Windows Operating System. Check that you
* Do not have any security related software that may be blocking this.
* That you have the correct type of Adobe Flash for installing on Firefox.
* Note that Flash Player will need installing separately on Internet Explorer (IE)
**Have you already done that ?
**Does FlashPlayer work ok on IE ?
* Please also paste into your reply the exact error messages you are getting, or attach screenshots
**[[How to make screenshots]]
**[[How do I create a screenshot of my problem?]]
* Have you actually got FlashPlayer listed in your Addons ?<br />You apparently did not have when this message was posted.
*If you get messages top left by the location bar when trying to use Flash Player click them to allow FlashPlayer to work

    Hello Pat,
    Thank you for your response.
I have just got this working this morning, the message from the adobe install was that it had encountered a problem, it gave no further details.
I tried disabling the firewall this morning and adobe has installed without any difficulty
Thank you again for the response.

  • SafariNotificati will not allow me to install adobe acrobat

I'm trying trying to install Adobe Acrobat. the install stalls when a pop up window appears telling me to close SafariNotificati.  SafariNotificati is a push notification which runs even when Safari is not. How do I close this to install acrobat?

I had the same issue when I was trying to install Creative Suite. I actually came accross your question while I was searching for an answer as to how to close "SafariNotificati". I found the solution and figured I would share it with you as I am sure you are quite frustrated (as I know I was...)
I found my answer here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5791174
You have to go into your "Activity Monitor" and close it from there. It worked for me, hopefully it works for you!
    Cheers!

  • "BRCCMCTL" will not allow me to install adobe

i am trying to download adobe reader and adobe keeps asking me to close "BRCCMCTL".  First of all, I do not know what brccmctl is; and, there are no programs opened

This is part of your Brother printer driver.  If you are on Windows, close it using the Task Manager's Processes tab.

  • Why do I get Mozilla Firefox not responding when I have Adobe Flash Player

Up until both Adobe and Mozilla Firefox updated I had full use of my computer. Now, with with both Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash player I get the response "Mozilla Firefox not responding" I have eliminated all my plug ins and the computer is just fine until I enable Adobe Flash Player.

Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause
Firefox issues. '''Disable All of them.'''
Open the options of your anti-virus, and tell it to leave the browsers alone.
Start '''[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Firefox in Safe Mode]''' {web Link} by holding down the '''<Shift><br> ''(Mac Options)'' ''' key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

  • I have a cd of New Yorker magazine cartoons which I got in 2004. It requires adobe 6.0.1 but my computer will not allow me to install that version as it is outdated.  I have windows 7. -Bob

I have a cd of New Yorker magazine cartoons which I got in 2004. It requires adobe 6.0.1 but my computer will not allow me to install that version as it is outdated.  I have windows 7. How to I get this CD to open? -Bob

If the CD absolutely requires that old version, then it is basically obsolete. However, it might work with the current version ... have you installed the current version of Adobe Reader, and if so what does it say when you try to use the CD?

  • Adobe application manager keeps opening and will not allow me to install creative cloud

Adobe application manager keeps opening and will not allow me to install creative cloud. I am trying to sync fonts and the install is not working. The adobe application manager will open on its own and not allow the creative cloud app to install. I do have other creative cloud products installed however the creative cloud installer icon is not appearing in my toolbar nor does creative cloud show up as an app. I get an error message that I must have creative cloud installed when I try to sync fonts via the type kit to photoshop.

    Hello ducky,
as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)
I quote: ... helps resolve installation problems for Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite (CS3-CS6) applications. The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. It does not affect existing installations of previous versions of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications.
Please use: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html  and follow the prescribed sequence of operations
Sometimes the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it.
If necessary and for further questions and if "open" please use chat, I had the best experiences.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Select
    /var/log ▹ install.log
from the hierarchical list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar. Then select the messages from the last installation or update attempt, starting from the time when you initiated it. If you're not sure when that was, start over and note the time. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Need help on how to stop this and get the updates to work.

I am havin' this same problem. I've upgraded to Snow Leopard and when i checked for updates, in this case for 10.6.6 version, when I click to install, and the system should aks to me my password to continue, nothing happens. Then I've tried to install 10.6.6 combo to see what happens, nothing happened. So I started to search for a solution and I finded a guy with this same problem and he said that he went to update section on apple's website and downloaded the version 10.6.1 and then it worked fine. Unfortunately, in my case nothing happened, again.
