Firefox not displaying changes made to Wordpress site

I have been making changes to my style.css files for my wordpress sites. It appears my changes are visible on other computers. However on my MAC OS X the changes do not appear to show on Firefox. I can see the changes fine on Safari (on my MAC) I have cleared cache, I have reset Firefox, I have cleared DNS on my MAC and really have no idea where to go from here.
My preference to use Firefox as my working browser is to use Firebug.
Please advise what are my options...
I really look forward to some solution to this.
Regards
Karen Kirchmann

Can you give us a link to your website (if it's not private or protected by a password) to see if we can see if it's reproducible for us.
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*[[Image:new fx menu]] > Options/Preferences> Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*[[Image:new fx menu]] > Options/Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

  • Is there a workaround for Aperture not displaying changes made in CS6?

Previous versions of Aperture would sometimes not correctly display edits made in Photoshop CS5, but re-sizing the Aperture window was a workaround.  Currently, I am experiencing the same problem, but now with CS6, and the wordaround no longer works.  I would appreciate any help with this problem.
    Thanks -
    Dudley Warner

    Leonie -
The workflow I use for my best images is to open the RAW file in Photoshop and edit it in ACR and CS6, and then import it into Aperture.   I tried changing the extention, but this did not fix the problem.  Here is what image looks like in Aperture.  There are supposed to be 2 top eagles, but the bottom eagle was moved and resulted in both images showing.  The image looks like it is supposed to in CS6.
    Thanks -

  • Firefox not displaying buttons and boxes when allow other pages to use their fonts instead of my selection is selected

Firefox not displaying buttons and boxes when allow other pages to use their fonts instead of my selection is not selected. The irritating thing is that Firefox used to display pages until FF 31. Please fix this
    Thanks
    Randy

The missing icons are supplied by a font that is downloaded from the server (@font-face) as you can probably see by little boxes that show the hex code of the characters.
You will have to make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts to see such an icon font.

  • Firefox not displaying IWeb site correctly

Since the last two Firefox upgrades (I'm on the most current one now) on a Mac, my Iweb site is not displaying correctly.
There are circle graphics on the left side of the page (they fill the left side) and only a few show. When I click refresh different ones will show, but not the whole page.
It's not only on this page, but the other pages as well. Sometimes the masthead won't load or graphics in the portfolio won't load.
Also some of the links to CD Baby (Music Page) won't show and will say "Service Temporarily Unavailable". Sometimes if I refresh a few times those will show up.
    Thanks for your help!

Are you referring to elements added by the iWeb scripts regarding the circles?
Can you add a screen to clarify what you mean?

  • Forwarding (re-direct) does not display changes I've made in iWeb

I created a web site using iWeb and then began using myhosting.com to forward to my Mac URL using a simpler common .com web address.
I've recently made substantial changes to the site and published them. When I access the site using the mac url I get the new version with changes.
When I use the forwarding URL I only get the old site.
I spoke with myhosting and they suggested I clear my computers cache (please advise on this) or that the apple name servers have not refreshed yet-- but it's now over 48 hours.
Can anyone help me with this.

I believe they call it a re-direct. Just to be clear, whatever I have has been working fine for over a year. In the past, when I made changes on iWeb, you see them when using www.rucessories in the browser address window. Just recently I made a number of changes to the iweb site but when I key in rucessories.com it goes back to the original.
The only thing I can think of that may relate to you comment is that back in Sept 07 I was dealing with a web designer who was going to set me up with a Joomla site and I gave him permission to move some stuff onto his server and host for me. Wasn't too thrilled with his responsiveness and decided to go back to using iWeb myself and that's how I go to this place. Any ideas.

  • Firefox not displaying favicon/.ico file for specific website

Firefox has always displayed the favicon for my website, until recently. Now there is just a blank space where the favicon should be. I am able to see the favicon for all other websites except my own. It is a wordpress site, so I followed their most recent instructions for adding a favicon. I even tried some other guidelines and tips for adding .ico files, just in case wordpress was missing something, but still no luck. I have double-checked the file format as a 16x16px .ico file and made sure the code & image location within my website directory was correct... Everything looks as it should. The favicon is displaying perfectly in all other browsers I tried, such as Chrome, Safari, Opera & IE. I have cleared my cache, cleared my browser history and even uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox. I also tried another computer using a different IP address. It just isn't displaying.
When I preview the .ico file under 'page info -> media' it looks like Firefox is locating the image and recognizing the file dimensions, but nothing appears in the preview window and under 'file size' it just says "unknown (not cached)."
Here is the link to the site: http://www.mattielynn.com/
Does anyone know why this might be happening?

That image doesn't seem to be working in Firefox 3 and 8 (works in Firefox 9 and later).
It works if I save it as 24 bit instead of 32 bit.

  • Firefox not displaying fonts and sizes properly

In firefox the fonts are not displaying properly they are either bold or small and bold some text is displayed normally but most is not most is either really small or bold. This is also the case for IE, im on windows 7 running latest versions. However Chrome, Opera and Safari all display correct fonts and sizes it is just firefox and IE that are affected. And yes everything from font size to page size is at default so please dont reply with zoom in and out thanks.

Hey thanks for the reply. Not sure which one of these worked nothing changed until I restarted firefox.
You can try different default fonts.
    Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced
[ ] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
You can also try to disable hardware acceleration.
Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
But it is back to how it was thank you very much!

  • Firefox not displaying corectly in remote desktop

This issue has existed with firefox for as long as I can remember. If I start up firefox on any computer then log into that computer from another using remote desktop the firefox window displays as nothing by a big black box. There are not controls, menus, or even an x to close it. It can be closed by right clicking on the taskbar and choosing close window. Now if I start firefox while logged in from remote desktop it works just fine. Even if I disconnect and reconnect it will still display correctly. The problem only occurs if firefox is launched from the computer then I remote in. The open webpages, tabs, ect do not matter as I can restore the previous session just fine. Some of the computer have no addons installed so that rules those out as a possible cause.
Is there any solution to this? It's usually not a big deal as it usually only involves one computer but occasionally like today I had to reboot every system on my network and load up firefox to do some stuff then remote into those systems just now only to have to restart firefox on every one.

hello FUBAR-BDHR, that may well be an issue with hardware acceleration - please try to disable hardware acceleration in the firefox ''menu ≡ > options > advanced > general'' (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect) & see if the situation changes...

  • Firefox not displaying swfs with their proper dimensions

Some instances of Firefox are not displaying swf files with their proper dimensions. When the same .html and .swf combo is loaded on another domain, different dimensions are displayed. I'm not using swfobject or any other DOM manipulator to get the swf on the page. I'm using the standard wrapper that Flex generates with object/embed tags.
The dimensions are 950x700. I wonder if the large size is part of the problem. I'm not going for any full screen effect.
I've tested with and without css declarations. I've tried using swfobject. I've created a brand new project empty project and when I publish that, the dimensions are still off.

  • [Title] (fixed) Firefox not displaying buttons, bubbles, checkboxes, and input lines

So this isn't a question but I think it's very helpful, as I've had this problem ever since update 10 or so, even with resetting my Firefox profile so here's the fix
k so I use Stardock software's Windowsblinds on my x64 Win 7 laptop. I run Firefox with the "Awesomebar" disabled, I like my menus. Anyhow for the longest time I've had a problem where Firefox stops displaying my buttons, bubbles, checkboxes, and input lines along with some borders on a few pages, so today I finally figured out which options to check to make things work and look how it's supposed to
maybe your team could code some sort of detection for windowblinds and enable these options/settings automaticly
settings in about:config that I manually changed:
    layersacceleration.draw.fps true
    plugin.allow.asyncdrawing true
    gfx.direct2d.disabled false
Not sure if all 3 are necessary or not but I fliped the 3 to the stated variables and Vwala I can see all my buttons, bubbles, checkboxes, and input lines
also add Windowblinds to the tags for future users ---->

@ cor-el I tried it in the options menu quite a few times with seems that it just wasn't writing to the config file even though it said it was enabled/disabled. so I went straight to the config file and changed it manually but thank you for the input anyhow

  • Safari is not displaying all of a page; sites have words that are on.......

I am having an issue with Safari whereby website pages are not displaying the whole page-the bottom quarter or so is cut off. Firefox is fine. Also, I know on some sites, the words are on top of each other. I just updated to Safari 5.0.3 and still having the same issues. Has anyone else noticed this? My son and husband have seen this on their Macs....... very annoying! Judy

I logged into my admin test account and it seemed fine there. And so I logged back out and back into my usual admin account and all is well right now! It appears to be intermittent so therefore hard to diagnose. Ugh. My text size is as I want and set it up for. So I don't know what to say. I did repair permissions a few minutes ago. I don't know what to say but putting the old plist on the desktop and forcing a new one to be created did help, at least for awhile. Right now I am happy....... Thanks, Judy

  • List view web part not reflecting changes made to list view in SharePoint Designer

    Dear All,
When adding a list view web part containing a view modified in SharePoint designer (e.g. conditional formatting applied, or group headers modified) I'm finding that the changes made in SPD are not reflected in the web part.
For example, I go into SPD edit a view, and the view appears correctly when I go back into SharePoint, however when I link to the view within a list view web part it results in losing the changes made in SPD.
Becasue it's a publishing page I'm unable to edit the contents of the web part in SPD.
I'm sure this is expected behavior but how do I get around this?
    Thnaks,

  • Website not updating changes made in DW CS3 (though they show up in browser preview) what's wrong?

    this is the website:
    http://www.bsarchitects.co.uk/epic.html
and the only changes made have been to the text, so it shouldn't be that hard?
i am taking this website over from someone else and am fairly new to dreamweaver. as far as i can tell, the website uses frames and this might be the problem?
    Thanks!

There are a few possibilities. First of all, you may be seeing a cached version. Clear your browser cache a try again. Another common problem is that the site definition is setup wrong, so you are uploading to the wrong folder on the server. Please show us your local and remote site definition. Finally, this is a frame site so make sure you are uploading the correct page.
What is the text you are trying to change?

  • How can I make Firefox not-display images?

About 20 years ago I could configure Mosaic to not-display images. I browse with lynx usually now, but have to use something else when I need Javascript. Sometimes I want to not-display images. I can't find a setting in Firefox for this.

Note that you can control this via the <b>permissions.default.image</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b>
The default is 1 to allow all images, a value of 2 will block images.
**1: Allow all images to load, regardless of origin. (Default)
**2: Block all images from loading.
**3: Prevent third-party images from loading.

  • Camera Raw not seeing changes made by DPP

I am not sure whether this is a procedure problem or capability.
When I edit a (canon 50D) CR2 file in Canon DPP ver 3.6.1.0 and save it as a CR2 file, then open the same CR2 file in camera raw ver 5.5 it does not see any changes made by DPP  it opens up the file as an original.  All changes made by DPP are gone.
So my question is, is there a way for camera raw to see and use the changes made by DPP.

    Thanks Gabor
You have confirmed my suspicion,  I am aware that any changes made by DPP or most other software to raw files is only recording changes and not actually applying the changes until it is converted and saved to another format.  Was hoping that ACR would be able to read the changes.
The reason I wanted this is I find that DPP does a better job removing noise from high ISO images then ACR, but I prefer the rest of the editing features of ACR, so what I hoped to do was to use DPP to remove noise and finish editing in ACR.
Was just a though, thanks for the help.
