Firefox not inserting proper hyperlinks in Yahoo email. What to do?

I use Firefox and my yahoo email won't create a hyperlinks that appear to me as the user nor does it create hyperlinks that the recipient can see or use with a click. What can I do? Why is this a problem?

Each webmail has their own way of inserting hyperlinks: To make a URL into a link in Yahoo mail, you can use the insert link button.

Unfortunately, Rave's response is quite incorrect on two major points.
The Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver instance was indeed part of the Macintosh version of Acrobat Pro until a few years ago.
However, it was NOT Adobe that killed the feature. Apple did! In one of the MacOS updates, Apple fully removed the capability that Adobe had to support this virtual printer. There was nothing that Adobe could do about this, regrettably. Adobe didn't cripple anything. Complain to Apple!
However, Adobe does provide a replacement for it that will yield similar results, but it is not available in Acrobat or Adobe Reader!!! In most applications' print dialogs (such as Word) - which printer you select is irrelevant, click on the PDF button and select the Save as Adobe PDF option. This will save your document as a PDF file with Adobe technology. But again, this is not available from with Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
However, you should note that the process that you previously followed and you would like to continue to use is commonly referred to as “refrying a PDF” and is strongly discouraged even where it continues to work under Windows. Why? The print function of Adobe applications including Acrobat and Reader is optimized for PostScript for printing, not for creation of PDF. Resultant PDF files have lost any transparency (it has been flattened) and all color management has been lost.
What you are really trying to do is to create a pre-imposed PDF file from an existing PDF file. Going through PostScript was and still is a very bad idea.
There are some third party plug-ins to Acrobat, such as Quite Imposing (Quite Software, <http://www.quite.com>) and PDF Snake (<http://www.pdfsnake.com>) as well as some “free” (you get what you pay for) solutions you can look up on the web that can do PDF imposition without ruining your PDF via PostScript.

I've subscribed to several blogs through email but I am not receiving them in my Yahoo email account.

Just bought a HP Pavilion notebook. Using Yahoo email through Firefox (just changed over to Firefox). I am not receiving email from blogs I have subscribed to. When I try to re-subscribe I'm told I am already subscribed. Can't find any settings to help with problem. Is this a Firefox problem or Yahoo problem?

Why does Firefox not open the link in an email message?

Since upgrading to 3.6.10 (at least I think since then) Firefox no longer opens the urls in email messages when I click on them. Firefox becomes active, but then nothing happens. How can I rectify this? I use mail.app, on Mac OS 10.6.5.

Ok, well I found it quickly without really finding the source of the problem. I created my account here in order to post this problem, and when I received the account confirmation email to activate my account, clicking the hotlink opened a browser window WITHOUT the address! So I restarted firefox and lo and behold, I could confirm my account via the hotlink and dvd@ccess now works, even in the dvd studio pro simulator. Why this bug appeared remains to be answered. Firefox periodically shows "server not found" message for Verizon/Yahoo email. Often self corrects in 5 to 10 minutes ?

System is Windows VISTA. While on Verizon/Yahoo mail Firefox will lose the connection and shoe a "server not found" message. Explorer will connect with no problem to the email server. The problem self corrects with in 5 or 10 minutes but this may happen 5 or 6 time in a day.
Is this a Firefox problem with proxy access. Settings appear to be the same.

i forgot to mention , that when i striped this machine back down to 10.3.7 and before i re built i did do a hardware check with the original install Disks [3] and every thing came back clean.
the weird ness with the colors on window, if i pass a app like text edit over the area , the color will not cover the app but stay in the background.
when i first saw this color thing i had the preference pane out and was moving it around on screen and the colors were bleeding off of the preference pane onto the screen.

I downloaded Firefox 20 and now I can not see pictures on my Yahoo Email

When I receive an email with an attachment and I click on the attachment all I get is a dark blank screen. The dark screen shows that it should be a slideshow even if it is only one picture. The picture cannot be seen. Is there something that should be turned on or downloaded to improve this situation? The previous version of firefox that I replaced did not have this problem as I could see all pictures that were sent to me.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Thunderbird will not receive attachments from my Yahoo email

I frequently mail attachments from my Yahoo address to Thunderbird address. Recently these messages stopped arriving in my inbox. Thunderbird receives attachments from other sources, mostly sending to myself for testing. Yahoo sends attachments to other addresses as I have tested on several friends. It appears that the Yahoo account is performing as it should. One other clue I worry about is that I never ever see spam or junk emails in Thunderbird and I have no idea where they go.

You don't have a Thunderbird account. You do have an account, probably provided by your ISP, which you access via Thunderbird. Go to your email provider's website and look there for Spam settings and maybe any limits or blocks that might prevent you getting attachments.

I might have discovered the solution without starting over with all your places and bookmarks.
Right after i installed 7.0.1 over a week ago,every 10-30 min When i would be watching videos online, it would freeze for 20-30 seconds. Firefox would say ( Not responding) both firefox and the plugin container process would be very large memory files. I tried to go back to Firefox 5.0. No avail it would still freeze.I tried to disable the plugin container . no good. I tried to adjust memory or cache or plugin settings in “about:config”.Nothing fixed it!
I finally discovered why my Firefox 7.01 was periodic hanging fix. It is something to do with some of your personal files. download this this add on and install it

After you install the add on, restart Firefox.go to "tools", then "add ons" and then click “extensions” tab ,then click' options" on the "places maintenance" entry. choose "ALL' or just "expire" and hit "execute", then wait until its done., restart Firefox. should be fine then and all my bookmarks, customizations ,settings, and history stays untouched!
After i did this my Firefox did not freeze once for over 3 days straight. Might not work for everyone. I already read that Mozilla is aware of the problem and are working on a fix it in the full version of 8( the 8 beta did not fix the problem for me) . But they said this is a good temporary fix at least,( might be permanent)
For me at least ,Firefox works fine in 7 now. perfect actually.And many people i saw on similar forums had similar problems.

Set up a yahoo email account in mail

I am not able to get a yahoo email account set up in the "mail" client. It doesn't connect to the yahoo servers! any thoughts??

How do I sync my Iphone 4 contacts onto my rogers yahoo email?

My Iphone 4 contacts will not sync onto my Rogers Yahoo Email. Everything seems to work in setting it up but when enter my password at the end of the process it says "CardDAV Account 'Yahoo' "Password Incorrect" when I know the password is accurate and I verified it on both Rogers Yahoo Email and on my Iphone. I eliminated all the multitasking on the phone by closing out the bottom row of active icons. I've turned off and on the phone multiple times. I've turned off and on WiFi but my understanding is it uses WiFi to complete the sync.

Try deleting the account from your iPhone and setting it back up. I have had multiple times, with multiple devices do this, but that was just email. I still think this will solve the problem.

Hi!
We found the problem.
The problem was in the fields ID_ITM_CTG, ID_ITEM_NO and ID_COMP.
They were not cleaned when we were inserting the new materials in the BOM.
