Firefox not loading any site as user2 but working fine as user1

As user1 Firefox works fine. As user2 no site can load. Firefox is stuck with the loading sign and the dots going around in circle. Even trying Safe mode with all addins etc disabled, it does not work. I have uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it but no change.

This can be a problem with the file [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak and any existing files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js .

Firefox not loading any pages either when typing a url, dragging a .webloc into it or searching anything in its google field. It just stays at the Also, when I try to open a .webloc file "open with", Firefox is not one of the options. Furthermore, when I go to the "open with">"other..." route, Firefox is not selectable. I've repaired permissions in Disk Utility, updated Flash and reinstalled the latest Firefox and restarted the computer with no success. Also, another odd thing is when I double-click a .weblock file, it opens up in Fireox to a blank white page, even though its set to open in Safari as the "open with" default. If this is one Mac on a Network with your own Router, reconfigure the Router to have your ISP's DNS "magic numbers", then disconnect and reconnect your Mac. Your Mac should pick up the numbers from your Router.
If this is one Mac without a Router, use:
System Preferences > Network > (Internet interface) > Advanced ...
to enter your ISP's "magic numbers" for DNS.
If you prefer, you can use OpenDNS servers instead:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
Make certain you do not have any bogus, old, dead numbers ahead of the ones you want to be using -- they will be used first in the order they appear.

My Firefox doesnt load ANY site. It tells me it is not able to connect, and the site might be to busy exc. Please help.

I downloaded Firefox, thinking it would be better for my computer and what not. Well when I tried to use it, a screen came on saying, "Unable to connect. Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.google.com. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Under that it has a try again button. But the button doesnt do anything besides refresh and tell me the same thing.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Firefox gave me "URL not valid & cannot be loaded" on SOME common sites. Tried clearing cache & cookies; no help. ALSO just checked using IE browser, and it would not load that site. Bank still works; shopping still works... what gives?

I'm strictly a user; not an IT guy. I can follow directions but need as much specific help as possible - i'm always afraid when i try corrective actions, i'll "break" something else. Need help quick for daughter & me (job hunt).
Other sites besides one listed gave same problem. But (in this case) ACT.org worked fine...

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Since yesterday morning Firefox can not load Facebook. Every other browser works fine. Tried many computers, both Windows and Macs, same issue. Help!

Facebook loads fine on multiple PCs and Macs in any number of browsers but NOT with Firefox on any of them. Started Friday AM. It tries to load but takes FOREVER and never gets "up". Frustrating since FF is my browser of choice despite the fact it has recently become the slowest of all the browsers I've tried. Be nothing like THIS slow. Other sites seem to be unaffected, just Facebook.

What you describe look like a problem of infection, for me.
I have W7 and FF34 as you, and FF is faster than Chromium.
So, except a problem of corruption of the code of your Firefox (and maybe problems generated by some addons or plugins), I' rather believe that there is malware(s) on your computer.
For FB, it could be the adware pushow**.dll, like pushow35.dll, in c:\windows\system32
What security programs do you use on your computer ?
If you want, you could also try to start Firefox in "safe mode", to see if there is a difference of speed and on FB.

Loading youtube videos crashes my browser - both mozilla firefox and safari. Now I can't get firefox to load any page, although safari still works. It started when I clicked on a youtube link on FB 2 weeks ago. Any ideas, anyone?

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

I have been sent an audio attachment in an email to a Hotmail account. It opens and plays fine on my PC but will not open on my Ipad. I get a pop up wanting to forward the attachment from my Comcast email account but neither will open and play it. Any suggestions?

I kept looking and found this answer in an Ipad forum from IpadJunkie. "Try the OPlayerHD lite app...free. When pressing and holding the WMA attachment select open with OPlayer and it works fine."

Firefox does not load any sites the first time, including Firefox itself, other browsers do.

In the last few days I have experienced a problem logging on to nearly every site the first time. I get the message that the connection was reset....we have 3 identical computers in our home and I am the only one experiencing this problem. I can immediately try again and log on, but it is annoying to get that message with all sites, including Firefox itself, I have tried to clean out my cache and my cookies, but the problem persists.
Also, firefox is locking up my computer frequently. As it is as I attempt to send this message. I will copy and past this into another message as soon as I restart my computer.

Yes the problem has reappeared, so I tried bypassing the cache for my Windows computer as you suggested: Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button, or "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows) I then clicked on my bookmark (http://mdotnetpublic.state.mi.us/drive/ ) and I still see a blank screen and a spinning wheel. This seems to go on indefinitely. But like before I posted the question, when I click the reload button it forces the page to load right away.

When firefox loads, a "blank page" is displayed. Further, when this occurs, no sites can be accessed. Toolbars on top do display.

My iPad screen will not rotate in the mail program but works fine in safari and star walk apps, any ideas ?

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it rotates when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Keynote on IOS 7.1.1 not loading PPTX, IOS 6.1.3 works fine on same PPTX

We have a company written PPTX that is 9 megs in size. We can load it fine in Keynote on an iPod 5 running IOS 6.1.3, but cannot on an iPad or iPhone running 7.1.1 or the previous version of IOS. Keynote has been removed and reinstalled on the 2 devices that are not working. The error we get is "Presentation can't be imported. The file format is invalid." I have tried changing the Power Point file to a PPT, but that gives the same results.

Still seeking a solution for those times when I am fully mobile (not near laptop) as keynote iOS and office for iOS (iPad or iPhone) have not been able to open these pptx files that third parties send me.

Since upgrading to Mavericks the "search" function in mailbox does not show any results, however spotlight is working fine.

The search function on my mailbox is not responding after trying to search my mailbox. I am able to search my mailboxes through Spotlight though. This seems to be since upgrading to mavericks.
I was wandering if anyone has this problem and knows how I can resolve it.

I get prompted to install flash player and have done so. I would think it's a security setting in flash however I don't get that settings screen where I can make the adjustment. I tried in IE and firefox.
