Firefox not recording history.

Firefox isn't recording history. I've tried doing re installation and it has not fixed the issue. I've also played around with the settings it nothing changed.

Okay I was able to fix it by doing a purge and then deleting everything in the "~/.mozzila/firefox" directory and then reinstalling it. This is also has also been affecting my linux box at work. Hopefully the same trick will fix it as well.

  • Firefox does not remember history-why?

    Hi guys! My firefox does not remember any history at all. Of course the privacy settings say: " remember history". Everything else (bookmarks and such work fine. I have done a "reset firefox" twice; no change. There is an article from someone with similar problems, but vital chunks of info are missing, so I can not reproduce what exactly the problem was and how it was solved. Any suggestions anyone?? Cheers Stefan
    ( should add: windows 7, latest firefox version...)

    History can be removed or not recorded several ways;
    * 1) Running Firefox in Private Mode (nothing is recorded)
    * 2) Privacy settings (Type '''about:preferences#privacy'''<Enter><BR> in the address bar.)
    * 3) Many disk cleaners and anti-virus type programs can remove data from browsers. Open their settings and have them leave the browsers alone.
    * 4) Mal-ware.

  • Firefox 26 on Mac 10.7.5 will not delete history

    I am running Firefox 26 on MAC 10.7.5 and just noticed that after the update my browsing history shows sites I visited and used many many months ago - like some stupid Facebook game i hated and such.
    I have tried to delete the history within firefox and it never works. I tried to find the sites in the firefox show all history and they are not there.
    When I start to type an address in the address location the sites and addresses show up. These are not current or recent history addresses but old ones - ones I can't even remember when I ever went to them.
    What is even more concerning is that if it's a secure page - one that requires a logon and password - it just goes right into the secure site and allows access into the page without any input from me.
    How do I fix this and/or how do I completely remove firefox and all its DB files from my MAC and start over? Since I even tried removing firefox and reinstalling it and all my history is still there.

    You can try to delete the places.sqlite in the profile folder to fix corrupted history etc.

  • Interaction Record History & Notes History

    Hi All -
    I have a question regarding the Interaction Record history & Notes History assignment blocks in the IR Work Center Page.
    The IR Work Center page has an assigment block to list the recent interaction records and notes history. However, this component lists only the last few interaction records and their corresponding notes history. (Like the last 4).
    Is it possible to increase this number through configuration? Or does it need to be an enhancement to the notes history and interaction history components?
    Regards,

    Hi Nikhil,
    Yes, it is possible to increase the number of interaction records that are being displayed.
    The code that is limiting the number of interaction records to 4 is present in the Custom Controller ICCMP_BT_IRHIST/CuCoIRHist. The code is present in the method GET_LAST_INTERACTIONS of the implementation class of the custom controller.
    The below code results in only a few Interaction Records based on the confirmed partner;
    TRY.
          CREATE OBJECT lr_query_service.
        CATCH cx_crm_unsupported_object.
          me->typed_context->btordercusthist->clear_collection( ).
          RETURN.
      ENDTRY.
      lr_query_service->set_query_parameters( it_parameters = lt_parameter ).
      lr_queryres_col = lr_query_service->get_query_result( ).
    If all the Interaction Records are to be fetched from the database, then the search query 'BTQuery1O' needs to be executed. The parameters for partner number and object_type are to be passed.
    Once, result query is obtained, the same collection can be set to the context node BTORDERCUSTHIST of this custom controller.
    Finally, the code to limit the number of Interaction records to 4 which is given below needs to be commented;
    * restrict to 4 result entities
    lr_bo = lr_queryres_col->find( iv_index = 5 ).
    WHILE lr_bo IS BOUND.
       lr_queryres_col->remove( iv_bo = lr_bo ).
       lr_bo = lr_queryres_col->find( iv_index = 5 ).
    ENDWHILE.
    Regards,
    Jekin

  • Safari Not Recording Browsing History

    I have a new iPad Air.  Safari is not recording any of my browsing history.  I checked my General settings, Privacy settings, and Safari settings, but I can't find anything that would cause this problem.  I also tried powering down and restarting.  Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?  Thanks,  Greg

    Make sure that private browsing is not enabled.
    Click safari then click the icon on bottom right looks like two boxes one in front of other.
    Once clicked select private on bottom left.
    Good Luck!

  • Firefox is not saving history even with remember history preference turned on.

    Firefox is not saving history even with remember history preference turned on. I have tried reinstalling Firefox but this has not solved the issue. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

    * Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the Browsing History.
    * Make sure that the History is set to at least 1 day: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > History: "Remember visited pages for at least"
    * Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Private Browsing mode (Tools > Stop Private Browsing is grayed, see [[Private Browsing]])
    * To see History and Cookie settings in Firefox > Preferences > Privacy, choose the setting "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history"
    You can look at these prefs on the about:config page to make sure that you keep history.

  • Firefox Android on Nexus 7 (2012) does not clear history/private data on quit even though I have it set to do so.

    I checked for updates for the Android version of Firefox and I have the latest version. I changed the settings to clear privacy data on Quit but it does not work, history still shows when I reopen Firefox. Any suggestions?

    Found the problem. Previous Android version of Firefox did not have a "Quit" option to close the browser. I had an add-on called 'Quit Now" installed. Latest Android version now seems to have its own Quit option which now shows up. I uninstalled the "Quit Now" add-on and when I close Firefox with its Quit button the history is cleared. Others having the same problem should check their add-ons under Tools to see if they have the "Quit Now" add-on. I only caught the solutions after seeing 2 different Quit options.

  • Option of 'Restore Last Session' not working. Is there any option to repair the 'Mozilla Firefox' without loosing History?

    Option of 'Restore Last Session' not working. Is there any option to repair the 'Mozilla Firefox' without loosing History?

    It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    * Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
    Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

  • Firefox not first time cleans my history without any question

    Hello, firefox not first time in ~2months automatically cleans my history and I dont like it, 2months ago I had 2years history, but 2months ago firefox deleted it without any question, I thought "okay whatever" but now ff deletes it every 1-2weeks. and I really dont like it - about 1month ago there was 1month old history but now again I have only 7days history and this is nonsense, how I should fix it? Bookmarks/passwords not gone.

    There is a possibility some other software is interfering with and changin=g or deleting some of your History.
    Also Firefox stores Bookmarks and History in the same database ''places.sqlite'' it is a possibility if you have a very large number of bookmarks, that because Firefox gives these priority you may loose some of your History.

  • Firefox not remembering my history? Used to, now it is all blank. How to fix?
