My email account is with dishmail.net which is handled by google. My start page renders coorectly but if I go to my email page I am given a 2 x 3 window at the top left of the page with scroll bars to the right and bottom.
I am working with a fresh install of FF due to hard drive probelms. I did not have this problem before the HD change. IE will correctly show the page.

  • Safari is not loading pages correctly or even not at all. Help please!

    So my Safari is not loading pages correctly, making some have just plain text with no images, and others partially loaded with no images or no video.
    Some pages, after trying to refresh, completely refuse to load and say that Safari can't find the server. These pages work on firefox, which is also on the same computer and what I am having to use to type this currently.
    I have already reset Safari, as well as disabled extensions (which I didn't have any) and neither has fixed the issue.
    Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

  • Firefox 3.6 does not display pages correctly

    I recently upgraded to 3.5 beta 4 and it worked ok. 2 weeks ago it stopped displaying pages correctly. Uninsalling and reinstalling did not cure problem. I unistalled and installed v3.6. Same problem.
    I could provide a screenshot of Mozilla home page. Backgrounds, table borders and some inages to not display. I have disabled all plugins and "load images automatically" is checked.
    The images and background of this page do not display. I checked with K-meleon and IE.

    If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a (too) high value can cause issues.
    *Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
    Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.
    *Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Changing+fonts+and+colors
    It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with overlapping text.
    *Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
    On other platforms instead of Tools > Options use:
    *Mac: Firefox > Preferences
    *Linux: Edit > Preferences
    *Windows: Firefox > Options
    <i>Press F10 if the menu bar is hidden on Windows and Linux or use "Firefox > Options/Preferences"</i>

  • Mozilla/Firefox not rendering MyYahoo page after update

    I did all the updates this week (10.4.4, Itunes, Quicktime) and also installed iLife 06. Now Mozilla 1.7.12 and Firefox refuse to render MyYahoo page correctly. It is completely unusable with object spread out far to the left and down the page.
    Safari, of course, works fine but I've never liked Safari and I like to stay consistent with my Solaris environment at work and on my laptop.
    I deleted the mozilla cache (both through Preferences and the finder) to no avail.
    Anyone else seeing this?

    Jim, trash Mozilla and Firefox, empty the trash, restart your computer,
    Go back to there site and re download them.
    Remember, always repair permissions before and after any update.

  • Firefox not rendering webfont in 25.0.1 on some pc

    I am using a webfont hosted on my website's server and it shows up perfectly in all other browsers, and in most versions of Firefox 25.0.1 on Mac and PC, except some versions of PC's are not rendering it.
    I have had one of the problematic users check their "Allow pages to choose their own fonts..." and it DID NOT fix the problem.
    I have added the webfont into a header design built in HYPE. Here is the webfont coding I'm using, and again, it works fine on most PC's, but at least two users are having problems:
    URL to test:
    *http://www.artacademy.edu/index.php
    Coding used:
    <pre><nowiki> <meta name="viewport" content="user-scalable=yes, width=960" />
    <style>@font-face{
    font-family: 'bebasneue-webfont';
    src: url('http://www.artacademy.edu/css/webfont-header/bebasneue-webfont.eot');
    src: url('http://www.artacademy.edu/css/webfont-header/bebasneue-webfont.eot?#iefix') format('embedded-opentype'),
    url('http://www.artacademy.edu/css/webfont-header/bebasneue-webfont.woff') format('woff'),
    url('http://www.artacademy.edu/css/webfont-header/bebasneue-webfont.ttf') format('truetype'),
    url('http://www.artacademy.edu/css/webfont-header/bebasneue-webfont.svg#webfont') format('svg');
    }</style></nowiki></pre>

    Did you also make them check the gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled pref on the <b>about:config</b> page to make sure that downloadable fonts are enabled.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/about:config
    You can also use the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer;Ctrl+Shift+K) to check for errors and use the Fonts tab in the Inspector to check which fonts are used.

  • Why is Safari not showing pages correctly ?

    Hi there !
    I'm having a little Safari 5 trouble.
    Safari is not showing page layouts correctly, it seems it is not recognizing / reading css at all. Not one site shows correctly !
    Whereas Firefox has no problem at all.
    On Safari, I had diverse small extensions and Glims (but I had those for a while and nothing like this ever happened - only the occasional crash).
    Also, I tried reinstalling Safari entirely. No change.
    What do you think can be causing this ?

    HI and welcome.......
    If you still have Glims the latest build is available here.
    http://wiki.machangout.com/howdoi/glims-development-build
    As for the extensions, go to Safari / Preferences - Extensions. Turn that OFF. Quit Safari (Command + Q) Relaunch Safari and see if that makes a difference.
    Try resetting Safari. From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset.
    If nothing above has helped, try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file. Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
    Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop. Now launch Safari. If Safari loads pages as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro: Message "An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display page correctly.

    Hi everyone,
    I posted this in September: "Over the past week, I have received pdfs from 2 different graphic design contractors that do not open correctly in Acrobat 9 Pro. There is an error in the document and when I scroll to the page where the error is, I get: "An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person hwo created the PDF document to correct the problem." I did this, and the contractor remade the pdf 3 times, and I still couldn't open it. This contractor is already using CS5. For the problem today, I haven't asked for it to be remade yet--decided to see if I could find out if anyone else is having the same problem. The second contractor is using CS4. The only thing that I have done differently at my end over the past week is upgrade CS4 to CS5. I already had Acrobat Pro 9 so I didn't update it when I updated my CS5 products. Should I have upgraded Acrobat 9 anyway? Somehow, it doesn't feel right that this is the problem. Any info on this would be appreciated."
    I got one response from that posting, suggesting that the pdf was corrupted over email. That wasn't the problem.
    What I didn't say above is that whenever I got an error message upon opening the pdf and clicked OK, I got another message: "Insufficient data for an image." I found that one or all of the images in the pdf were missing. Upon further investigation, the contractor and I found that sometimes the error message pointed to a specific font used--that being a Helvetica Bold font. Once we substituted it with a Helvetica Neue LT Std Adobe Opentype font, we no longer had an issue.
    However, the problem rose it's ugly head today--what, 6 months later! I'm talking about 2 different pdfs this time.
    For PDF#1, I got this error message about the font: "Cannot extract the embedded font 'JNAGNS+HelveticaNeueLTStd-Bd'. Some characters may not display or print correctly."  When I click OK, I get another: "Insufficient data for an image." The images don't show up in the pdf. What I don't understand about this pdf is that this is one of those that was fixed in September. The only changes made in the document was to paragraph text--none to the text in the images. When I opened the revised pdf today, I am getting the same message again. This makes no sense.
    I returned to my September blog to see if any further advice had been posted, but nada--not even anything from Adobe about it. I goggled until I found where someone suggested running a "Report PDF syntax issues" analysis in Preflight. I did that and even though the analysis showed the pdf passed, I checked the fonts in the list and saw that the one pointed to in the error message showed that a long list of glyphs were missing on both pages of the pdf. I have asked my contractor to replace her font with a new one, in case it has gotten corrupted. Haven't a new pdf to open yet.
    Then when I opened PDF#2, I got the message: "An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person hwo created the PDF document to correct the problem." When I ran the "Report PDF syntax issues" analysis in Preflight, I found got this warning: "Invalid operand(s) for operator (1 match on 1 page)". I clicked through and under "Page Description Errors/Invalid operand(s) for operator", it identifies Operator Name, Stream State, Operators Read, and Traversal Path. Under "Trigger Values" is says "Invalid operand(s) for operator: is true". None of this means a thing to me so I can't figure out what the problem is.
    Let me say this: Both the contractor and I are using CS5 and Acrobat Pro 9, on Lion. If it helps, the contractor also sent one of the problem pdfs back in September to my boss who is running Acrobat Pro 9 on Windows 7 and she got the same messages.
    Does anyone out there have a suggestion for us? PLEASE HELP!!!!

    Thanks to all for posting suggestions. As it turned out, the contractor who was having a problem reinstalled Acrobat 9. She works from home and is emailing the pdfs to me. Things were running smoothly until this past week, when the problem started again. Whenever I get a pdf that won't open properly or print, I asked her to zip it and it is no longer a problem. Last week, I had the same problem start with a contractor in Florida and she also zips the pdf when there is a problem. Now I am thinking the problem might be at my end. I wonder if something is happening to them when they come through our firewall at work. I asked IT about it before but they didn't have a clue what the problem might be. Right now, zipping is the answer...who knows how long that will continue to work.

  • Equium M50-164: IE not displaying pages correctly

    I have a Toshiba new Equium M50-164, but it will not display my internet page correctly at http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/lorne.anderson/Bridge/
    It should look like this:
    http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/lorne.anderson/NormalView.gif
    with the Bridge anaylser logo in the header but on my Toshiba it looks like this:
    http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/lorne.anderson/ToshibaView.gif
    I have 4 other computers that all display it correctly (running XP,2000,98SE) and several friends say they can see it OK. If I look at the unlying html code via right click and view source in IE the bit that displays the logo should read:
    "align="left"></p>
    </td>
    <td width="610" align="center" height="65"><a href="../index.html" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="Images/Bridge%20Analyser.gif" width="311" height="57" align="left" alt="Opens my software home page to see more programs">
    </a>
    <font face="Arial Rounded MT Bold" color="#000080">
    <a href="../index.html">
    but on the Toshiba view source displays:
    "align="left"></p>
    </td>
    <td width="610" align="center" height="65"><a href="../index.html" target="_blank">
    </a>
    <font face="Arial Rounded MT Bold" color="#000080">
    <a href="../index.html">
    Note the 2 blank line where the code to show the logo should be. If I open the page from files on my hard disk it display correctly so my guess is that Toshiba have done something to overide default IE security settings but I can't see what. How can I get IE on my Toshiba to work the way Microsoft designed it to work?
    Just as a check, can anyone using this forum read the page correctly or do you also get the missing logo?

    Out of curiosity are you running any toolbars, add-ons or content filtering for IE?? As you pointed out the source code isn't the same as the original it's been altered and since the <IMG> html tag is missing that would explain why Internet Explorer isn't loading the image.
    I can't see anything particularly wrong with the code however your filename does have a space in it "%20" and might be triggering some kind of content filtering.
    As a suggestion rename the image file removing the space then update your html page and try again.

  • Firefox not printing pages on CNBC correctly.

    Latest version of FF, tried in safe mode and still won't print the article on the page beyond the first page. This is happening on every page on CNBC.
    This one for sure does not print correctly: http://www.cnbc.com/id/102220450?__source=yahoo|finance|headline|headline|story&par=yahoo&doc=102220450

    I'm not sure why, but it seems to be related to the use of the &lt;fieldset> tag around the content. Firefox apparently doesn't paginate that tag as expected.
    To see how it would appear in print preview substituting a styled &lt;div> tag, you could run the following snippet of script:
    (1) Copy the following to the clipboard (it's all one line):
    <br>var fs = document.querySelector("fieldset"); var dnew = document.createElement("div"); dnew.setAttribute("class", fs.getAttribute("class")); fs.parentNode.insertBefore(dnew, fs); while(fs.childNodes.length > 0) dnew.appendChild(fs.childNodes[0]); dnew.setAttribute("style", "margin:0 2px; padding:0.35em 0.625em 0.75em; border:2px groove #eee;");
    (2) On your test page, open Firefox's web console (Ctrl+Shift+k or Web Developer > Web Console)
    (3) Paste the code next to the caret (>) and press Enter to run it
    (4) Try print preview

  • Firefox Not Scrolling Page Divisions Correctly

    I am working on the css, xhtml, and xml of a store front hosted by another company. We allowed to change certain things in the xhtml, css, and xml to customize out store. We can only use CSS 2 and no javascript or embedding is allowed.
    I've designed a vertical scrollable division that contains a series of images that act as links to other pages. In Firefox 3.6.24 when I press down on the vertical scrollbar and move it up or down the content correctly moves up and down, but the mouse stays where I intially pressed down with the mouse and only after I lift up on the mouse does it then jerk to its new position to match the content.
    I've played with the preferences of Firefox and also have played with the CSS and XHMTL. On occasion I've also notices this on other internal divisions on other web pages so I am thinking it s Fireffox and not my design. This does not Safari.
    Should anything in the about:config be changed?
    Firefox 3.6.24; PPC 10.4.11 Mac OS

    Are you referring to elements added by the iWeb scripts regarding the circles?
    Can you add a screen to clarify what you mean?
    "Clear the Cache": Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"<br />
    "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"<br />

  • Firefox not displaying content and not displaying page correctly

    I am unable to view some sites (facebook, gmail, hotmail) fully. It seems that images do not come up, such as the delete button in gmail and the check mark in gmail when selecting a msg.
    I have reset configuration, cleared cache and cookies all to no avail.
    It happens under other user profiles on the same system.

    Some of those features might use the Flash plugin. There are some compatibility issues between the latest Flash player and some Firefox add-ons or settings. Could you see whether anything in this article helps: [[Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox]].

  • Not displaying pages correctly in DW

    I'm a new Dreamweaver user. I was doing very well so far. I
    had created and was managing over 70 pages in my site. It looked
    great.
    But I did something that causes my pages to display only the
    text and graphics when I'm viewing them in Dreamweaver. No tables,
    no CSS, nothing. Just text and jpegs all in a row. But when I
    preview in a browser, the pages look great.
    It's not code/split/design; that's normal. I think my style
    sheets are linked correctly; everything is showing in the browser.
    I just can't get the display to go back to normal.
    Please help! Thanks.

  • Firefox not reloading page. Same page reloads w/o problem in other browsers.

    I do the graphics layout for three full color magazines and recently found a great program to create flip books for the online viewing of these magazines called Flip Builder. After creating the flip books and posting online, we, along with clients who use Firefox browser have found the flip books will open the first time with no problem. However, if the Refresh/Reload button is hit, the pages will not reload. The round, rotating icon that indicates the load progress simply spins with nothing happening, just a blank screen. The only way to reload the page is by completely closing out Firefox, reopening and re-entering the flip book URL again. Not very convenient for our clients.
    This issue only exists with Firefox. Reloading the pages is no problem with Internet Explorer (sorry, had to mention it!) or Opera.
    Naturally, our clients use various types of computers, so there is no consistency among users. I am using the most current version of Firefox and noticed this problem immediately.
    I've also contacted the makers of Flip Builder and made them aware of this issue.

    I have a similar problem. I am building maps using GeoExt. These maps come up fine in all the browsers we've tested (FF, Chrome, IE, Safari), but when the user clicks the reload button in FF, the page tries to load but fails to load components of GeoExt, ones that loaded fine the page load before. If the user hits the reload button again, the page may load correctly or it may not. It appears to be random.
    However, if the user places their cursor in the address bar and hits enter, the page loads every time with no problem. This behavior, both the reload button and loading the page from the address bar, is consistent in FF version 5.0 and 9.0.1.
