Firefox not rendering webfont in 25.0.1 on some pc
I am using a webfont hosted on my website's server and it shows up perfectly in all other browsers, and in most versions of Firefox 25.0.1 on Mac and PC, except some versions of PC's are not rendering it.
I have had one of the problematic users check their "Allow pages to choose their own fonts..." and it DID NOT fix the problem.
I have added the webfont into a header design built in HYPE. Here is the webfont coding I'm using, and again, it works fine on most PC's, but at least two users are having problems:
URL to test:
*http://www.artacademy.edu/index.php
Coding used:
<pre><nowiki> <meta name="viewport" content="user-scalable=yes, width=960" />
<style>@font-face{
font-family: 'bebasneue-webfont';
src: url('http://www.artacademy.edu/css/webfont-header/bebasneue-webfont.eot');
src: url('http://www.artacademy.edu/css/webfont-header/bebasneue-webfont.eot?#iefix') format('embedded-opentype'),
url('http://www.artacademy.edu/css/webfont-header/bebasneue-webfont.woff') format('woff'),
url('http://www.artacademy.edu/css/webfont-header/bebasneue-webfont.ttf') format('truetype'),
url('http://www.artacademy.edu/css/webfont-header/bebasneue-webfont.svg#webfont') format('svg');
}</style></nowiki></pre>
Did you also make them check the gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled pref on the <b>about:config</b> page to make sure that downloadable fonts are enabled.
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/about:config
You can also use the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer;Ctrl+Shift+K) to check for errors and use the Fonts tab in the Inspector to check which fonts are used.

Firefox not rendering fonts [SOLVED]
I'm having this problem for some time, but it never bugged me too much. Yet, I still want to find the cause and fix this issue.
Firefox doesn't show me the correct fonts on some websites - not even on this forum. I'm using infinality patches, if that matters. There's a screenshot below showing the difference between firefox and chromium, with chromium rendering the fonts correctly.
Please advise or give me a hint. Thanks
Last edited by RaisedFist (2013-11-18 19:42:07)huh! that was quick from my part: I found the issue - I had to set the presets in the infinality bundle created by bohoomil.

Firefox not rendering page correctly
My email account is with dishmail.net which is handled by google. My start page renders coorectly but if I go to my email page I am given a 2 x 3 window at the top left of the page with scroll bars to the right and bottom.
I am working with a fresh install of FF due to hard drive probelms. I did not have this problem before the HD change. IE will correctly show the page.

Firefox not rendering italic text
I can't pinpoint specifically when this began, but this is an issue I've only seen after doing a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.04. Firefox isn't rendering text that appears between <i> and <cite> tags (there may be others that would render as italicized text by default, but I haven't checked), but is correctly rendering text between <em> tags. The text is literally just gone but is taking up space in the layout.
Chrome on the same machine isn't having the same problemIt seem that in the latest versions of (k)ubuntu only ttf-dejavu-core is installed by default. If you install ttf-dejavu-extra [ sudo apt-get install ttf-dejavu-extra ] that fixes the problem for me

Mozilla/Firefox not rendering MyYahoo page after update
I did all the updates this week (10.4.4, Itunes, Quicktime) and also installed iLife 06. Now Mozilla 1.7.12 and Firefox refuse to render MyYahoo page correctly. It is completely unusable with object spread out far to the left and down the page.
Safari, of course, works fine but I've never liked Safari and I like to stay consistent with my Solaris environment at work and on my laptop.
I deleted the mozilla cache (both through Preferences and the finder) to no avail.
Anyone else seeing this?Jim, trash Mozilla and Firefox, empty the trash, restart your computer,

Basic Layout not rendering correctly.
''locking as a duplicate of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1035123''
Hello,
I've been trying to debug a problem I was noticing on my production websites, so I dumbed it down to a quick codepen to show off the issue. http://codepen.io/anon/pen/GgoBNJ
Basically, standard fonts (helvetica, arial, etc.) are not rendering correctly within a div. For some reason the text is pushing itself up ~2 pixels. Not to mention, fonts are looking very jagged within the browser for no apparent reason.
I am setting up a basic div with hardly any styles and yet this produces two different renderings within FF and Chrome
.box{
font-family: Helvetica, Arial, Sans-serif;
font-size: 14px;
border: 2px solid #FF5500;
display: inline-block;
width: 100px;
This is causing me all sorts of headaches with designers who are trying to make layouts pixel perfect as I have zero control over something like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

PDF not rendering right in firefox
I have a PDF file I created on my website and noticed that in FF it is not rendering the images correctly (specifically the background image) The file renders fine in IE and Chrome but not in FF, which produces a lot of odd lines in some images and the background. I have had several people check this for me and they have the same problem, the PDF will just not show correctly in Firefox, even one person that tried it, FF will not show any pictures for her on the PDF. Did not know where to post this, as it is not really a question but an observation.
ShyI am sure this is helpful for those that are computer savvy like myself, but most readers of my PDF newsletter on my site are not. So it will not help them much, heck I spent 10 mins. in chat last night explaining to them what a URL is, most still did not understand. I will pass the info on anyway just in case, telling them this is only a problem if they are a FF user, or that they can use IE or Chrome if they like so it renders correctly.
Thank you
<blockquote>
Hey Shyannes,
It is rendering differently because IE uses the Adobe reader plugin to display PDF's and Chrome uses a custom PDF viewer. Firefox also has a custom PDF viewer (different than both IE & Chrome).
Firefox users can view the PDF using Adobe reader by following these steps:
#Click on the Download button (the one to the right of the print button).
# Change it from Save file to Open with: '''Adobe Reader'''
#Click OK.
Hope that helps.

Server Side Includes not rendering correctly in Firefox with Layers
Hi
The server side includes are not correctly rendering with layers in firefox. From my site here:-
http://www.osteriastecca.com/index.php
the home_page.php content renders above a layer on the index.php page. Initially I thought this might be a Flash layer issue but the wmode is set correctly to transparent and it works fine with a normal ssi. It also works fine in Firefox without a server side include as you can see here:-
http://www.osteriastecca.com/index_old.php
Works fine in IE and Safari, but not Firefox.
How can this be rectified?
Regards
GlennyboyWhat testing server setup do you have? Are you using something like WAMP?
What do you see on screen which tells you the SSIs are not rendering? Any error message? -
Tables not rendering correctly in Firefox
I recently switched from Dreamweaver 8 to CS4. I also
recently updated my Firefox to 3.06. I have had this website for
years, and it just started not rendering tables correctly in
Firefox. This is happening on multiple pages It works fine in IE.
http://www.wiw.uscourts.gov/bankruptcy/
Let me say up front, I know the page is antiquated (created
in Front Page) It uses tables for the layout instead of CSS. I hope
to be updating it soon, but for now I need a fix to get the pages
to work correctly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
BeckyHello,

Crystal reports not rendering properly and toolbar is also not visible in firefox 21.0

But i would be happy if Firefox renders them correctly. Anyone can help?
i made this change in my code using Visual studio 2005 VB
rpt.ExportToHttpResponse(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat, Response,
False, "Title you want")
it make me a PDF and i dont need the cristal report bar to print it
i hope you help you -
I would have preferred to show anyone a screenshot of the web pages, but there is not an attach file on this forum. Anyway, with only Firefox OS , not my other browsers, the web pages are not rendering correctly. For example on Facebook there is no header or footer. JS is active in the browser and as I said Chrome and Safari are NOT having any problems. I am surmising that the CSS and JS files are somehow not being displayed. I may be very wrong, but I would gratefully accept any help someone has to offer. Thank you and have a great day!

Graphs not rendered in firefox
Graphs are not rendered in firefox though firefox has native SVG support. Also tried using Adobe plug-in with this workaround (check here - http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/windows-all.html#AdobeSVG). It requires installing latest version of Adobe's SVG viewer 6.0 with Firefox. It showed up the text on the graphs, but not the graph.
from my point of view, FF can sometimes find itself (through certain profiles) in problems.
So the best way to get out that situation is to uninstall FF (check that "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" is empty, or doesn't exist) and phisically REMOVE all profiles entry in user profile (C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Mozilla and C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox)
Then uninstall SVG plugin (it should be in Control panel/add remove app).
So after that try to reinstall FF (2.0.2 is prefferred version now) and SVG from Adobe (current is 3.03 version) and all should work cool and smoothly.
We found on some users PC that upgrading-downgrading versions as well as "transporting" profiles under curious circumstances may result in inappropriate profile and...all went wrong. -

I had designed a Web App and tested on Firefox 18, 19, 20 and now when I'm checking it on 21 version it's not rendering properly. Now tell me what should i do.
Hi charlesmoizeau, why do you want to install Firefox 18? To be compatible with a particular website or add-on? There might be a better workaround, but without the details, it's hard to say.
See this help article: [[Install an older version of Firefox]]. And be aware that Mozilla discloses [https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html security flaws] after each new release.
