Firefox not working with hotmail

Today, all of the sudden I could not see emails that I had sent in hotmail or google. I could see the attachments, but only the first few lines of the email. I could however see the emails in other browsers. I was freaking out that I was send blank emails to employers.

I don't know if this is an issue with Hotmail having made some changes on their side.

  • Contact form Not working with Hotmail Accounts

    Hi, I have a problem with all the sites i have built with Muse. If the customer filling in any of the contact form on the websites uses a hotmail email account ( [email protected] )
    I get the following error message 'The server encountered a problem'
    Ive read that this could be a problem with my third party hosting company but they assure me that this is being caused by an error on the form
    Can anyone help with this please

    Ok so i have sorted the issue myself with NO THANKS to adobe
    Heres what everyone needs to do!
    Go to the following file public html - scripts - form process.php
    You then need to edit the following: ( line 103 )
    function get_email_headers($to_email, $form_email) {
      $headers = 'From: ' . $to_email . PHP_EOL;
      $headers .= 'Reply-To: ' . $form_email . PHP_EOL;
      $headers .= 'X-Mailer: Adobe Muse CC 2014.2.0.284 with PHP' . PHP_EOL;
      $headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8' . PHP_EOL;
      return $headers;
    This needs changing to the following:
    function get_email_headers($to_email, $form_email) {
    $headers = 'From: ' . $to_email . PHP_EOL;
    $headers .= 'Reply-To: ' . $form_email . PHP_EOL;
    $headers .= 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . PHP_EOL;
    $headers .= 'X-Mailer: Adobe Muse CC 2014.2.0.284 with PHP' . PHP_EOL;
    $headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8' . PHP_EOL;
    return $headers;
    The form will now work with hotmail, Gmail etc etc
    Hope this helps anyone having the same problem

    has gmail stopped supporting firefox new versions? i dont want to switch to chrome? wat can i do?
    am using windows xp sp3

    This is silly (and stupid). Why should I have to go to IE anything? Firefox worked fine with gmail until I went to this new version (16), I went to the beta version and gmail still did not work. I thought you guys were supposed to be unbiased? I should be able to use one program for my mail and my internet and not lose any of my cookies or services. I went to you guys because I was able to use all the services without any problems, now need two services so I can use my mail (no, I am not changing mail services...I like gmail and have a very set and established email address. It would cause a lot of problems trying to get my friends to memorize a new one...we like the one I have now).
    It should not be THAT DIFFICULT to allow access to gmail. Work with each other, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish. Thank you, NukeGeek

  • New Lightroom 4 mail feature does not work with Hotmail

    Hi,
    I have tested the new mail feature today.  Unfortunatelly, it does not work well with my hotmail account.
    The mail is send by lightroom and received in my hotmail mailbox, but the photo is not visible.  The tekst in the messages is readable, but instead of the downloaded photoI only see a red cross.
    Anyone an idea what the reason is ?
    thanks
    Rudy

    Hi Stone Pan,
    Thanks for answering.
    I do not see any error message and the received mail contains a correct text message, only the picture is not visible in the mail.  I tried to send a Photo with the email preset on small and normal but without success.
    Kind regards,
    Rudy
    Edit :
    I have tried to send a photo to the hotmail email adress of a friend and it works, text and photo are visible.  Conclusion is that the reason for not showing the photo is not a Lightroom 4 problem.  The reason should be something on my own computer, any suggestions are welcome.

  • IOS 8.0.2 not working with Hotmail

    Since I up to iOS 8.0.2 the other day my iPad Air hasn't worked that well with my hotmail.com account and now it's stopped working altogether.   I've deleted the profile and re-added it again and still no joy.  Has anyone got any ideas as to how to fix this? Is this another bug in iOS 8?   It's very frustrating!!

    I'm fairly new to Apple products. I had an Ipod, then bought my current phone an Iphone 4s plus I have an Ipad Air. I'm used to fixing problems because I've been using Microsoft Operating Sytems since Windows 95. I currently have Windows 7 Pro and love it. It works like a well oiled machine. For the amount of money we pay for Apple products there is no excuse in the world why we should do anything but install these Apple operating systems and just use them. They used to be bullet proof. Not any more. I'm due for an upgrade on my phone and will consider other options before my purchase. I'm ticked because I know Steve Jobs would be furious right now and some people would be fired. Your product is only as good as the people who designed it. Apple really messed up with this one.

  • Firefox Not Working With VPN

    Since a few days ago, both Firefox and Firefox Beta have not been loading any website, with the "Server Not Found" error. It's weird because everything was fine before, but now it won't load with VPN activated (but works perfectly fine without it).
    Every other browser I've tried works perfectly fine though (Chrome stable and beta, Opera, & Dolphin Browser).
    I'm on a Nexus 7 (2012) running KitKat and using the TunnelBear VPN service through a US VPN.

    Hello,
    Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
    '''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
    #Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
    #After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
    #Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    #*'''Windows:'''
    #**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    #**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
    #*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
    #*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
    #Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
    ##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
    ##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
    Please report back to see if this helped you!
    Thank you.

  • Firefox not working with Xfinity email

    I had been using a version of Firefox 3 (3.3, I think). One day this week, I was suddenly not able to go beyond my email page on my Comcast/Xfinity webpage. I got the Preview page only, but no farther. Using IE, I have no problem. I added nothing from one day to the next onto my computer. There was a Microsoft security fix that automatically restarted my computer. That's it.
    I tried loading Firefox 5, but got no different result.

    I found that McAfee was blocking Firefox. Before I upgraded to Yosemite I was required to upgrade McAfee by sys admin. The issue more than likely started then but I did not open Firefox before upgrading from 10.8 to Yosemite.
    In McAfee Endpoint Protection for Mac Preferences I selected Application Protection. In the window listing "Application Names" there were none. I hit the "+" button, then the search icon, and added Firefox from the Applications folder. Hit "ok". Closed the windows and quite McAfee. Restarted and after having to open Firefox in SAFE MODE everything appears to be working as it did before I upgraded to Yosemite. I can get the DAU again as it is the only web browser I can load on Mac that is compatible with this website that I am required to use.... not currently running VMware.
    I have admin rights to my computer but McAfee is configured and installed per instructions by my company admin. Hopefully they will allow me to keep this configuration change...

  • Firefox not working with telstra bigpond webmail (australia)

    stopped working a couple of weeks ago. I can access the account with internet explorer but not firefox. have installed all updates to browser.

    Yes you can install Chrome and use it for that one website. As far as Chrome "taking over" other functions on your PC, just don't let it set itself as the "default browser" if you are asked during the installation routine. Beyond that I doubt if you will have a problem.

  • Why Firefox not working with many Youtube videos?

    I use Firefox 13.0.1 on a Mac OS X 10.6.8. Beginning from August, many of the Youtube videos cannot be played, with the error message:
    " The Adobe Flash Player is required for video playback. Get the latest Flash Player"
    I clicked the clickable "Get the latest Flash Player" and installed it. But the same error message continues to show up. I repeated the process 3 times, the problem remains.
    The Safari on my machine, however, has never had the above problem.
    Could you let me know how to make these Youtube videos play with Firefox?
    Thank you!

    You could try uninstalling Flash completely and go directly to the Adobe website and download it. If that doesn't work I would uninstall Firefox and re-install it and see if the problem continues.
    All the best,

  • Firefox not working with Wordpress blog--I cannot insert hyperlinks or pre-schedule blog posts

    Since the last (involuntary) update of Firefox, Wordpress is full of snags, namely, I have been unable to hyperlink or preschedule posts--Nothing happens when I try to click either. When I close Firefox and switch to Safari, there's no problem, which leads me to believe the problem is within Firefox, which updated itself on my machine a few days ago.

    TruthMaker wrote:
    it seems to happen randomly
    Did you wait long enough for the 'archive' page to fully load before you clicked on a link ?
    If not, then you may have clicked on an incompletely loaded url, resulting in the "not found" MobileMe page. (yes, indeed it's about fractions of a second, that is why it seems to happen randomly)
    If this happened in Safari, clear the cache and wait for the page to fully load. Does that help ?
    Ps : I can navigate from your archive to the corresponding entry ( tried 4 random links)
    For other browsers, if you wait long enough for the page to fully load and then do a "reload page" and again wait long enough ... does that help ?
    When you hoover over the links and do get a $links$ move over to the next one, go back... now do you see the correct link ? Not always, but most of the time it's a blog entry with a very long filename.

  • Does Firefox not work with windows8

    I had no problems with Firefox while using windows 7, but now have 8 and Firefox is continually being non responsive.

    Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set
    to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your
    updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow
    Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
    * Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
    * Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

  • Flash player does not work with Ie or Firefox with win 8.1?

    Flash player does not work with Ie or Firefox with win 8.1 64, If i try and play a video I get the message to install Flashplayer.
    If I try and install it it says it is already installed. Your onsite  installer says it is not applicable to my machine.
    I have followed all the normal steps re enabling addons and active filters etc.
    all to no avail Pc is Dell 6 months old, Flashplayer has never worked on this machine. Last MS update mid Dec 2014.
    Version of flashplayer is 15....03.......

    Flash Player is a built-in component of Internet Explorer.  There's nothing separate to download or install.
    Firefox requires a different version of Flash Player (the NPAPI plug-in), which will be served to you if you go here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer using Firefox; however, there are some unique stability issues related to Firefox on Win8.1, and you're probably better off using Google Chrome if you want a more optimal experience with Flash Player.
    For problems where IE isn't being detected by sites that require Flash:
    First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968
    Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
    You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:

  • Flash Player 11.3.300.262 Not working with Firefox. I think I found the problem.

    *Flash Player 11.3.300.262 is not working with Firefox. I think I found the problem.*
    Millions of people got off work & turned on there computers recently to discover that Firefox is not playing any videos or flash content. Just like me, millions of people are randomly searching the internet in a futile & frustrating attempt at answers. Unfortunately, many of those people will simply stop using firefox & deem it a glitchy, unreliable browser.
    This happened to me a couple days ago. I started up my computer & got a pop-up from Adobe saying that I need to update my flash player to 11.3.300.262. I've always thought of adobe as being a reliable software company, so I clicked on it with confidence that things will be working even smoother. To my horror, I relalized that right after the update, my main browser, firefox was destroyed. Then I went on the frustrating process of uninstalling, re-installing, running virus scan, researching the internet like a lost child. I said to myself, "that's why I hate updating stuff, because updates always seem to change stuff you don't want it to change & there always seems to be a problem with the updates." I usualy update software months after it releases, because microsoft & all the other software companies always seem not to test there stuff properly before releasing them. Then we have to look at a glitchy computer until the next update fixes it. Well, that is my rant. Now let me discuss the problem I found.
    Problem:
    What I did was, go into my firefox extentions menu & I disabled the 11.3.300.262 & I re-enabled the previous flash player. After that, everything worked perfect again. Then a today (a week later), I turned on my computer & my firefox wasn't playing any videos or flash content again. I went into my firefox extenions menu again, & I discovered that my old flash player had been deleted, & this new glitchy 11.3.300.262 had been enabled. Why did adobe feel the need to into my computer & automaticly delete & update my flash player. Now it doesn't work. THIS IS REALY FRUSTRATING!
    The Issue I discovered:
    "RealPlayer" is the most popular video program & it is installed on millions of computers. For some strange reason Firefox does not want its users to use Real Player. Specifically the RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin 15.0.2. I also discovered that my Browser Record Plugin 15.0.2 was automatically disabled when the Adobe 11.3.300.262 was automatically updated also.
    - Maybe this could be because of some copyright conspiracy to keep people from downloading videos from the web.
    - Maybe firefox wants people to use there download add-on instead of RealPlayers downloader.
    I don't know what ther reason is. But what I do know is Nobody is going to delete there RealPlayer from there computer just to use FireFox. We can simply use Chrome or Internet explorer. I took the advise from Adobe & disabled the FireFox RealPlayer Extention. I also went into my RealPlayer preferences options, But there was no option to disable download recording from FireFox. BECAUSE I ALREADY DISABLED THE ADD-ON in FireFoxes menu.
    Solution:
    Step 1: Adobe needs to update all the computers with the previous flash player. That way we can choose to enable the previous flash player in our FireFox. or wait until a new update fixes the problem with firefox.
    Step 2: Adobe & FireFox need to get together & go back to the drawing board. They need to create a update that actually works on computers that have Real Player installed on them. I don't care which company does the update. All I care about is if it works. Thank You.
    Oh yea, Im running FireFox 13.0.1, Windows 7, HP computer, Real Player is up to date.

    Hey Chris,
    I was able to duplicate this issue on my Windows 7 laptop as follows:
         1)  Completely uninstall FlashPlayer (using your tool) as well as Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Maintenance Service (used Windows 7 - uninstall from Control Panel).  Please note that I checked the box that said "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations" to ensure that Firefox was completely gone from my laptop.
         2)  I then went out to the Firefox website and downloaded the "Firefox Setup 13.0.1.exe" app to my laptop.  I ran this app to install Firefox.
         3)  I then went to the following website http://www.ishmael.org.uk/karaoke02.php as I know that this URL uses Flash Player (obviously you can go to any URL that uses Flash Player - I'm just letting you know which one I used).  I then clicked on the icon on this page to install Flash Player.
    Once the install was completed, the URL stops responding and appears to be locked up (although it will occassionally hiccup and display portions of the page and then lock up again).  You will eventually get a pop-up notice from Firefox that has the header "Warning:  Unresponsive script" and says the following:
         A script on this page may be busy or it may have stopped responding.  You can stop the script now, or you can continue to to see of the script will complete.  Script:  chrome://browser/content/browser.js:6551
    Selecting "Stop script" will get Firefox working until you hit another page that uses Flash Player.
    To ensure that the above URL is not the culprit, I used one from your website http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html and had the same results.
    Hope this info helps!
    Jeff
    NOTE:  As a reminder, I do not have RealPlayer installed on my laptop (and never have had it installed)

  • Upgraded to Firefox 4 and now the program I many alarm dealers use with Rapid Response Monitoring no longer works. RR Tech support said it had something to do with a change in Java not working with Firef 4

    Rapid Response Monitoring Center developed a program for their dealers to log on to the main frame and look at customer info. The program now has a disclaimer on the log-on page Does not work with FireFox 4. RR tech support said it had to do with Java functions that were not continued in FF4. I can log on but the program will no longer display customer history or anything that seems to have a data base behind the function tab.
    See www.rapidweb2000.com or call 1-800-932-3822 and ask for tech support for additional info about what they have found is the problem.
