I have firefox 3.6 installed in my laptop but for past few days i have been unable to start it, I uninstalled firefox once and reinstalled it but nothing positive haapened.

I am using windows 7. As I mentioned in the question that firefox has stopped working for last few days though chrome is working fine but as i prefer firefox so i need help. hello, the norton identity safe extension seems to play a part in the one crash report id you've mentioned. please try to use norton live update to bring all its components up to date or in case this doesn't help or you're already on the latest version, try disabling the addon for the moment: [[Disable or remove Add-ons]]

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Ive repaired 1000s of laptops over the years (translate: diagnose and replace parts).
Its not that old, Ive owned 100s of laptops (most were free) ....some I still have are nearly 13 years old and still perfect, ....some extremely expensive ones died in under a year.
other than becoming obsolete at some point, there isnt really any "will spoil on" data like Milk for solid state computer parts, ....alas.
You can have a $5000 laptop die in 4 months, and a junker one keep kicking after 10 years.... Ive seen that firsthand countless times.
Common logic dictates that "very expensive = long life" in computers,..... but all the repair people will tell you just the opposite.
I know you have a gripe, I get that all too well honestly .

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

I think where it is taking the most time is in the deleting from the print queue. I have an HP desktop computer with 3gb ram on windows xp. even if all I am doing is printing a test page with no other programs started it takes for ever to print a page.

Have you tried turning off bidirectional communication?
Open your printers and faxes folder, right click the icon for your printer, and choose printer properties.
Go to the ports tab, and un-check "Enable Bidirectional Communication".
Restart your computer, and try printing to see if the issue has been resolved.

Getting Error while saving a transaction without making any changes to it.

Hi All,
I have a page where in the advance table I add few rows and save the transaction. First time when I save it everything works fine, but when I save it again without making any changes to the fields I get following error:
"Unable to perform transaction on the record. \nCause: The record has been deleted by another user. \nAction: Cancel the transaction and re-query the records to get the new data."
In the same page if I make any changes again it allows me to save the transaction.
Please guide how we can avoid it..
I have already checked many threads related to the issue but nothing has worked. Please help!!

I upgraded to 11.1.14.62 this morning. Not iTunes is saying "An iPod had been detected but could not be identified properly". I unlugged/replugged in. I reset the iPod, I removed iTunes and reinstalled. I'ver tried three different cables.
When I put the iPod in disk mode it shows up briefly as a disk then goes away.
Any ideas?

Hi there - I've spoken with Apple and here is their response (worked for me). You need to uninstall not only iTunes, but also (in this order):
1) iTunes
2) Apple Software Update
3) Apple Mobile Device Support
4) Bonjour
5) Apple Application Support
Then you restart your computer.
Then you install the latest version of iTunes (which will reinstall all those things you uninstalled).
Then you restart your computer again.
Mine is working perfectly again now.
