Firefox previously worked fine but after installing new version does not open. Opens in the same day that I install it but not after restarting computer.

I just installed the new version of firefox. My firefox worked fine with the previous version. But the new version only works on the day I install it but the next time i start my computer it does not work. It does not open after clicking the icon. I even uninstalled it and then reinstalled it but again the same thing happened. I have no idea about plug ins etc. but I did not install any new ones.

This is a very interesting issue. Let's start with trying [[safe mode]], [[managing profiles|new profile]], and [http://firefox.com/all-older.html installing an older version] - if one of these works, please don't do the rest and reply here.

Since you have a Intel Mac, if you can upgrade to OSX 10.5.x then you may be able to use more current releases.

To do this in iMovie 11. use the SHARE menu. Share your project using the Share menu and choose Export Using QuickTime.
In the Dialog box that comes up, choose Sound to AIFF, or one of the other sound options. This will create a file that you can drag into iTubes.

Does anyone know how how to add extra pages to template documents in the new version of Pages which carry over the same formatting, borders, styles etc? In iWorks09, all styles, borders etc just used to carry over to the next page. In the new Pages, this doesn't seem to happen. Unless I'm missing something.

But, frankly, I don't think that simply reinstalling the old Safari will work because of all the peripheral, under the hood changes that happen when you upgrade from one version of Safari to another. Reinstalling 5.1.10 may be insufficient to turn back the clock. (This is the moment where a Time Machine or another form of full backup would save your bacon.)
While you're getting a copy of Safari 5.1.10, get a copy of Firefox (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/desktop/), too, so that you have an alternate browser to use as you're sorting matters.

A new version does not appear automatically in a stack

Adjusting a raw photo use to create a stack with the new version. Any other change to the existing version would create another version.
This stopped working. I checked the two entries in the Preference and there are ok. I restarted my MBP, I removed the Adjustment reset Plist..etc.
How can I solve this?

Just to be sure, there is a difference in what you see when you do this in a library logged in as yourself and when you do this in a library logged in as the Guest user?
If so then this can only be something in your environment, not an Aperture issue.
With the new OS getting rid of preferences can be a real problem. As a test now I just tried it and I had to reboot. Just logging off did not do it.
If after you have removed the preference file (com.apple.Aperture.plist) and the Aperture folder in the Containers folder when you log into Aperture you do not get the Welcome To Aperture splash screen then the preferences for Aperture have not been reset.
As I said to get this to happen for me I had to
Quit Aperture
delete the file and the folder
Re-boot
Then I got the Welcome to Aperture splash screen.
So basically if the preferences have been remove when you start Aperture it should appear as if Aperture is running for the first time.

I'm using FF 34.0.5 (I like it). I use to be able to right click on a link, within an e-mail, and the link would open in a new tab. Now when I click on the link it opens in the same tab replacing my e-mail.
Example - a friend sends me an e-mail containing a link to a web site he thinks I'd like. I click on the link and go to the web site and then go back to the e-mail tab and reply to him. Now, when clicking that link, my e-mail disappears and is replaced by the new site.
How can I fix this? When this happened once before I was told to change the 'value' for a specific 'preference name' through the about:config page.
Can anyone help jog my memory?
