Firefox quit responding while reading e-mail this morning. I am unable to open it again. I tried to download again, but it won't even dwnload.
I had myemail account open in one tab, Facebook open in another, and my online bank open in a third tab when firefox quit responding. After ending Firefox through Windows Taskmanager I tried to restart Firefox and it will not start. I tried the desktop icon as well as the Firfox.exe in the directory and it will not even open. I tried going to Mozilla.com using Internet eExplorer to down load again by I can't even getthe download popup box to open. What's up?

firefox quits responding at various times the only sure time is when trying to play online games. it hangs and will not close even using task manager mostly won't allow me to preform a warm boot using restart or even let me shut down completely, requiring the power supply to be cut off.

Upon opening Mail this morning to check when I'd sent a draft I wrote yesterday, I noticed all my sent messages are missing. I had mail dating back ten years in there. When I go to Time Machine to restore, only today's Sent Mailbox is available. Time Machine has been backing up seamlessly for months, so there should not be a problem finding a backup. What's going on and how do I restore the Sent Mailbox?

LauraUnless your TM drive is messed up, the backups should be there. So relax a bit.
The mail is stored in your Home Library folder, not the hard drive Library folder. The Home Library folder is hidden in Lion. To get to it, select Go in the Finder and hold the option key down. Select Library in the submenu. A Finder window will open up in your Home Library.
From there, you will navigate to the Mail folder, then V2 folder. All main mailboxes for each account will be in their account folder. There is another folder called Mailboxes which will store all local folders.
If you select the V2 folder in the Finder window, then enter TM, you should be able to go back into time.
Before doing anything else, first open Disk Utility and verify that your hard drive is OK.
If it is, go into the hard drive and navigate to the Home Library/Mail/V2 folder. Open each mail account and click on the mailbox your messages were in, like the inbox. See if the messages folder contains messages.
I just want you to see if the mailboxes are in the account folders and that they contain data. If so, we will continue from there. There's no use in trying to restore if there are problems just yet. Let's verify this first, then we will proceed. -
I just upgraded to Firefox 3.6.13 this morning and now, when I click on a link in an email or webpage, it won't open Firefox. How can I get this option restored in Firefox so I don't have to copy and paste the link?

I am trying to download Firefox4, but after download the Firefox character appears w/ a circle w/ a slash through it superimposed on top. Drap this to app. folder gets me no where??

I wanted it to be perfect all the time, one issue I come across with it recently is: When I switch between networks (say connecting to myoffice network through VPN when firefox is already open) firefox is not working. I will have to close the browser and open it again to make it work! could you please fix this.

Thanks for the reply. I never get the option to "Restore Previous History" from History. I don't even have the box checked that asks to delete the history when Firefox closes. I don't know what's wrong, no matter what, I always lose everything. I have the box marked "Show my windows and tabs from last time" for when I open Firefox, but it never shows that, just my homepage. Also, when I check my History, it only shows the pages that I opened since I started Firefox, nothing from before. Even if I were to open up 10 pages now, close Firefox, and open it, the history would only show the homepage that opened this time, not any of the 10 pages that I opened 5 minutes ago.

My Firefox ver. 3.6 stopped loading pages of any kind. Even Google or Facebook! I don't know how this happened. May it is because I tried to download a program that didn't even open up.... But I don't know how to make it work. All other browsers work normally, and I'm scanning for viruses even though my anti-virus did not warn me of anything... I tried to download a keygen and this is what happened. I can't figure out what it is. Not a connection problem. I even tried to uninstall an re-install firefox, but still nothing worked.

It sounds like you are unable to see your contacts in the phone, but have confirmed they are still at http://www.icloud.com. I would next try these troubleshooting steps from the article named:

If you're using iOS 7, quit and restart the Contacts app on your iOS device:
Press the Home button twice to see preview screens of the apps you have open.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Maybe you are doing nothing wrong and the problem is with the disk.
Use SuperDuper or CarbonCopy Cloner
to clone your system to an external drive.
Then boot from your DVD go to Disk Utility and choose your entire drive > top icon in DIsk Utility.
Go to Erase tab. Choose format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Click on erase. Now, install Lion and when you get to setup assistant choose to migrate from your external drive.
This is slightly different than baltwo described and slighly longer but if there is any corruption on your disk a more through way to go, IMO.
What baltwo is saying is to clone your volume over to an external hard drive with CCC reformat and clone it back. This will defragment the files and make them all contiguous but will not address any directory problems.
Your choice. You can do it one way, then the other if it doesn't work out for you. -
Tried downloading Mavericks this morning and it froze. I deleted where it started the download and I tried to restart it but now it will not let me start the download. just wants to go to install but there is nothing there to install.
