Firefox quits responding

firefox quits responding at various times the only sure time is when trying to play online games. it hangs and will not close even using task manager mostly won't allow me to preform a warm boot using restart or even let me shut down completely, requiring the power supply to be cut off.

So far don't know for sure if Biscuit's problem (owner) was solved as it has not yet been marked as solved, and solving that problem is the primary objective of replies in a thread along with understanding of problem and solution

Firefox quit responding while reading e-mail this morning. I am unable to open it again. I tried to download again, but it won't even dwnload.

I had myemail account open in one tab, Facebook open in another, and my online bank open in a third tab when firefox quit responding. After ending Firefox through Windows Taskmanager I tried to restart Firefox and it will not start. I tried the desktop icon as well as the Firfox.exe in the directory and it will not even open. I tried going to Mozilla.com using Internet eExplorer to down load again by I can't even getthe download popup box to open. What's up?

Firefox and Firefox Beta will lock up and quit responding at times.

Several times ill be looking at something, often when I'm typing out something, as I am now, Firefox and or Firefox Beta will lock up and quit responding to anything I do. I must exit it, or wait til I get the message "Firefox has quit responding. Wait or Close?
This is occurring on my Android tablet. 4.0.3 version.

Firefox stops responding

Whenever I type or try to send an email in Firefox (I have a Yahoo! account) or try to fill out an online form the browser freezes. When I open the Task Manager, it shows there are two windows of Firefox open and frozen even though I only have one window open on my desktop.
Any advice?

Whenever I open firefox and immediately try to load the website http://www.espncricinfo.com/ , firefox stops responding. But if I try to load this site after browsing some other sites, the problem seems to resolve automatically. The website loads without any problem in Chrome or IE. I encountered this problem first with firefox 14 and with firefox 15, the problem persists.

Firefox stops responding after file download

After I download a file, Firefox stops responding and I have to wait for around 10 seconds before I can use it again.
This also happens when I'm using "Download them all"

That can be a problem with your AV software. Firefox let your default anti-virus program scan the file after the download has finished.

1) firefox has been giving me problems for several months where it just stops responding, meaning I click on one of the 5 tabs open then it gives me msg "firefox not responding", also happens when I am working with xsitepro website builder development software stops me from moving around the xsitepro program and firefox again says firefox not responding
Note: However, when firefox gives me "not responding msg" it responds after a few minutes and gives me access the tab i clicked on but then happens again when i try to click on another tab
2) went to a page that firefox listed plugins http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ and there are several plugins listed that I do not know what it means below the ones it says it is updated, those are listed as " unknown plugin and ?research "
Not sure what does this mean as far as those plugins that are listed unknown and research. I did a search to see if I could find those plugins under addons but did not see them listed so are these plugins being used and installed on my firefox browswer and if so why are they hidden if they are installed or are they not installed at all

You're not the first person to report that the sessionstore.js or recovery.js file stopped updating with new activity. However, it's rare enough that I can't recall whether we have gotten to the bottom of it in a previous thread. I'll see whether I can search it up.
Meanwhile, someone might be able to come up with a way to watch for problems and extract some debug information, but I'm not personally familiar with such tools.
