Firefox reset without user request

Hey,
Background information:
I have been using firefox for years. I had FF in this particular machine set up and stabilized before last version update. System has been closed and opened several times as well.
My setup had 5 permanent tabs and varying amount of normal tabs. (not over 20).
Recently my system crashed with BSOD 0x0000008E, first parameter c0000005, accompanied by a mention of win32k.sys. I had FF open at the time BSOD occur.
After rebooting i tested my hardware as i was able, did find no problems.
I ran additional malware tests which found no threats.
However, when i started FF first time after system crash, it had no pinned stationary tabs left nor didn't it have any automatic or manual session restore option available.
In settings->general the startup was changed from previous tabs to blank page.
FF history however does contain full history, including the page i opened about 1 minute before system crash.
No losses in plug-in or add-on list. also the favorites and history are in place.
software versions:
Windows XP Professional SP3 with latest updates.
Mozilla Firefox 29.0.1 (euballot 1.1)
latest added addons: Firebug 1.12.8 and FirePHP 0.7.4 (both added today, about 3 hours before windows crashed)
Question:
Why did FF loose it's stationary pinned tabs during system crash? Arent they permanent until user decides to unpin them?
Might those latest additions i've added to browser cause FF strange behavior or even destabilize win XP?

Does this happen at the same time every day, regardless of when you start Firefox? That would be similar to the DSite problem. Check out these threads:

I assume you posted from a different Firefox that you didn't Reset because you have several extensions listed. If you reinstalled all of those after your Reset, try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions here for 24 hours and see whether that helps:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
If a link appears above an extension to restart Firefox, you can wait until you've completed your work on the list and do that as the last step.

Make sure that you type '''about:config''' in one word and without any spaces in the location bar.

This looks like some virus or spyware. Scan your system for infection.
Or you may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Hi, I quitted Safari and press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons silmutaneously unti the Ipad turn off and on with the logo Apple appears but it has hanged on and fixed to the point. An administrator can reset the passwords of other users using this technique.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Users & Groups, click the lock to unlock it and provide an administrator name and password, select a user, and then click Reset Password.

So it means that you need to check back with the application. If its coming from the MIS than check back what's happening in the file that is given in the error.

I have noticed that nginx logs http response code 499 so often.
We use nginx almost only for two web applications, the one based on PHP
and others on ruby. We experiences this problem in both apps. The server and client PC belong to the same subnet.
Since last month, nginx logged 624 errors for Firefox and 16 for other
browsers(almost IE).
So for test, I wrote the simple PHP (see the bottom of this article) and tried to access it
through both of Apache & Nginx with Firefox 35.0.1 and IE 11. IE11
waited 120 seconds and returned html successfully through both of nginx
and Apache, but Firefox failed either.
Let me describe Firefox's behaviour.
1. Enter the test php url at location bar and press enter.
2. The message 'waiting server response' appears at status bar for a while.
3. Watching network conversation through Wireshark, 'Keep Alive' signals
are repeated some times between server and client, and after that,
4. The message dissappears. 'FIN' signal is sent to the server from the client just after that. Firebug logs 'Aborted' at the almost the same time.
5. The server responses 'FIN ACK.'
There is a bit difference with nginx and Apache in behaviour after 'FIN
ACK'.

William's solution was much easier - just for completeness sake: The preferences panes to edit your startup items moved between the Mac OS X updates: I forgot that the "Users&Groups" preference pane used to be called "Users" in Mac OS X 10.6; it is the panel that you use to create new User accounts; and earlier systems had a separate preferences panel "Login" to enable and to disable the applications that are launched at login. Both are now combined in "Users&Groups". Sorry for sending you on a wild goose chase with the wrong Preferences panel.

CUP 5.3 - Single Sign On fu00FCr end user request screen?

Hi everyone,
Is there any way to achieve Single Sign On in a windows environment using the corporate Active Directory for the END USER REQUEST SCREEN in CUP 5.3?
I am aware of the document "Single Sign-On with SAP BusinessObjects Access Control 5.3" by the SAP GRC RIG (Harleen Kaur) so I know how to achieve Single Sign On for the CUP application itself.
I am also aware of the option to deactivate "end user verification required" in the authentication source definition in CUP.
What our end users are asking for is true single sign on. They would like to enter a request WITHOUT providing network user ID and/or password manually.

We have not yet configured SSO but are in the phase of analyzing our options.
I understood that SSO is only possible for the server:port//AE/index_apr.jsp page in CUP.
What about the end user request screen (server:port/AE)? Will this work with Windows-SSO using SPNEGO? Would I set the authentication source to LDAP or to UME (UME has multiple LDAP as user data source)?

The view V_T024B has the "Standard recording routine" and your client the option "Automatic recording of changes" defined. If you turn of the automatic recording (transaction SALE) you can customize without any request.
However, if this client change is not appropriate or allowed you could create your own view for maintaining the data. This view should have no recording routine.

Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing wll be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/newiPod
If still problem you have a hardware problem and service is necessary.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Some security software has virtualization or sandbox features that may cause problems by protecting and restoring files in the Firefox profile folder.
Try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

If you rename the file(s) then you can undo the action or inspect the files with an editor like Notepad.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

A thermocouple is a voltage generating device. The measurement system measures that voltage (typically millivolts) and independently measures the temperature of the "cold junction" of the thermocouple. The temperature at the hot junction of the thermocouple is calculated as Temperature(TC voltage difference) - Temperature(cold junction). If currents flow through the TC wires, due to ground potential differences between the motor frame and the computer ground for example, the voltage drop from Ohm's law is added to the TC voltage and will produce temperature errors. TC wire may have significantly higher resistance than wires used for most elelctrical signals so the interfering signal may be greater than the desired signal.
