Firefox saved an incorrect password. I don't know how to undo.

There is a site called "Book Movement" which I had to be reminded that the user name is refuge and the password is
cedar key. When I input the password, Firefox ignores the space, and I am shut out.
Additionally, when I went to set up an account with you, forgetting I had one? Firefox automatically input the password, but when you directed me to sign in as one with a previous acct, blank. Bottom line: Should I restore?

First, you should change your password, since this is a public forum!
Second, you can clear a saved password here:
Tools > Options > Security > Saved Passwords

I purchased the phone in a retail store a few days ago. Am trying to avoid making an appointment and going back.  The purchase took 3 hours.

Have you got Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases set 'off' - that should stop all in-app purchases. And what have you got 'Require Password' set to on the Restrictions screen (I can't remember what version of iOS that setting came in with, so you may not have it) ?

Thanks, someone else told me yahoo is an issue.  No, not the fan itself is what I'm asking, but the dots preceding it.  Sometimes there are 3 up, sometimes 4, sometimes 2.  Just wondered if they are the signal strength.  I should actually walk in different parts of the house and see if they change in different rooms.

  • Made a mistake and don"t know how to undo it

i use my iPod nano soley for listening to talking books while at the gym.
Copy books from cd to itunes library. Books vary from four to twenty disks. Disks run approx one hour and consist of 18 to 22 tracks each. At some place my computer asked if I wanted to treat the disk as a file rather than each track as file. Seemed like a good idea so i said go for it. Now here is the problem. when i try to scrool thru a playlist i can't get to individual tracks, just to whole disks. For the life of me i can't remember how i got into this in the first place, so i don't know how to get out of it. Anyone know how to open these files.

  • Help, i made a terminal command and i don't know how to undo it.

i found my long lost folder of terminal commands.. and i forgot what this one did, so i clicked it (i made the commands into a "unix executable file").. and all my files on my desktop are now hidden.. the only way to find them is to type in the file name into finder.
the command i typed in was
    while (true) do
    chflags hidden ~/Desktop/*
    done
and now everything on my desktop is gone, and i dont know how to undo it, I undid once about 3 months ago when i wrote it, but i forgot what i did. I tried counterering the command with others but it isn't doing anything. thank you
edit: i know this command cant destroy my system because it wasn't a sudo, but still, i had all my class work on my laptop and now it's all invisible

    Hi, try this...
    while (true) do
    chflags nohidden ~/Desktop/*
    done

  • Entered wrong wireless password and don't know how to change it

I recently switched to a Macbook Pro from a PC and attempted to connect to my 2Wire home wireless network on it. Unfortunately, I entered the password wrong on the secured network, and now the computer regularly tries to connect automatically to the internet with this incorrect password that it has saved, and I have NO idea how to get in there and change it. I have tried all I can think of with my limited knowledge of Macs. It will not connect to the internet, therefore, on my home network but does work on other networks.
Can someone please tell me where to go/how to access the saved password so I can delete it and change it? Also, whenever I click on the assistance button it always asks me whether I have a DHCP or PPPoE connection...and I have no idea what this means. The DHCP option leads me to the point where it says I cannot be assisted, and the PPPoE option takes me to a page where it asks for the network name and password, but when I enter it correctly it gives me no indication of the result of typing it in...it just reroutes me back to the page that asks me to choose between PPPoE and DHCP. A.K.A. it is NO help at all.
And I don't understand what it means when it asks me to "save password in keychain." What is a keychain??? I'm a Mac idiot. I can troubleshoot all this stuff with a PC but am completely lost with my new Mac.
    Thanks-

Keychain access is in the Utilities folder in Applications. The network password is in the "System" section. Unlock the chain, select the item corresponding to your network and click the "-" button. Then go back and set up the connection again.

  • I lost my iWeb password and don't know how to retrieve it.

How can I retrieve my iWeb password?

Hey Eth. The password I'm referring to is on the Site Publishing Settings page, in the FTP Server Settings section. The password is there now, but in 'dots.' I just don't know what it is. I would like to retrieve it in case I ever loose it.

  • I don't like it when webbrowsers keep passwords and usernames in their system. for example gmail, you type in your username and password and it remembers it. i don't know how to undo this.

In gmail, you would normally only see the accounts' name if you typed in the first letter of it and it pops up all the emails logged in on that computer with the first letter. Mines a B, but that's easy for anyone to know if they have my email. I would really like it if someone could help me fix this password/username lock thing.

I don't suppose it makes you any happier that you just need to double-click rather than guess the first letter of the user-id.
The user-id is remembered in cookies. You can remove cookie through Tools > Options > Privacy
The password connected to a user-id is collected upon successful use and clicking on yellow security bar. You can remove password through Tools > Options > Security
If you have a Master Password then it will restrict additions and deletions of passwords until a Master Password was entered for the session. Changes to the master password or show passwords require additional entry of master password at time of use.

    Hello Tonchee
If you are seeing an Apple ID that is not yours, then you have purchased content on your iPad that is tied to that Apple ID. You would need to know that password or remove the content that is associated with that Apple ID.

  • SMTP name for my email address is incorrect but I don't know how to correct it. Help!!

Two of my email address seem to have been joined. When I attempt to send an email from the problem address I am asked for my password but the ID listed in the SMTP request shows jerrhrt27 when the real address is jerryeg27. No idea of how it was changed or where I can correct it. This is a yahoo email address and I can send emails from there with no problem.

you have now created a second smtp and both have correct

    * click on 'Saved Passwords'
    * There should be two smtp entries. How many do see?
    * Is there an smtp:// setting for the Wrong UserName?
    * If yes, then select it and click on 'Remove' and then click on 'Close'
Then check the config Editor settings.
    * Click on 'Advanced' > 'General' tab
    * Click on 'Config Editor' button
    * It will tell you to be careful.
    * In top search type: jerryhrt27
    * What is shown in the list?
    * Please post an image of the results.

  • I can insert images in gmail. However, I cannot insert a screen capture on one computer when I can on another. So I think its the way I have Firefox setup...but I don't know how to change it.

In gmail I enabled insert images. I can now copy/paste an image....but not a screen capture. I'm using the same process to capture the screen shot and paste as I do in Word. It works on one computer...but not another.

Move the cursor to the very top of the screen, maybe push up a bit. The main menubar should then appear. All the way to the right should be a bright blue icon - click it, and the Safari window should revert to 'normal' size.
Pressing Command-Control-F should accomplish the same thing.
Once it is back to normal size, click and hold on the top portion of the Safari window and drag to left or right to place it where you want it to be. Once you leave it there, the next time you open Safari it should open its window in normal size at that place.
If you need to re-size the window a bit, you can click-and-hold on the bottom-right corner of the window and drag to resize it.

  • My daughter is listed at "administrator" and I don't want her to be listed as that...I set up a new account for her but don't know how to undo administrator status?

My daughter is listed as "administrator" on her computer and I don't want her to be...I have created another account for her but how do I remove the "administrator" priviledges?

There has to be at least one administrator. Change the password of the old account. While logged in as that user, open the Accounts preference pane in System Preferences, authenticate, select the new account, and uncheck the box labeled "Allow user to administer this computer."

  • Help, I accidentally put a desktop icon the trash (my photo booth!). I don't  know how to undo it!

Help me. I accidentally created a desktop icon from Iphoto and when I wanted to get it off the desktop, I put it in the trash. Now, it appears that my entire photo collection is in the trash bin and I don't want it to be there! How do I tell it to take it back out of the trash bin???

Please explain in more detail, how you created, made or moved that "icon" to your desktop...?
If you not sure, open the trash, control click on the "icon" in the trash, select Get Info and report back.
If it looks like this > with nothing after it, then you need to drag it out of the trash and put it back into your user Pictures Folder.
If it is a copy or alies and you can currently open iPhoto and see all your photos, then there should not be any problem just emptying the trash and making it go away.
