Firefox says I do not have latest adobe plugin even after I just installed it
Just to get some stuff out of the way:
'''I am running 64bit windows 7 with firefox 8.
I downloaded the firefox version of flash, NOT the ie version.'''
Today I was looking at my addons and realized my flash is out of date so I went to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to download the newest version: 11.1.102.55.
After this I exited firefox and any other applications that were using flash. (I made sure they were fully exited through task manager.)
I installed the new flash and started firefox again.
Sadly, webpages are now saying I do not have the latest flash and need to download and install it. Thinking this is weird, I checked my addons page, and flash plugin is not even showing up! Some how it didn't install...
I tried installing again several times. No good.
I downloaded both the 64bit flash uninstaller and the 32bit flash uninstaller. Uninstalled flash with both just in case. Reinstalled. Started firefox.... no good, still saying I don't have flash.
At the moment I simply reverted back to flash 10.3 with an old installer. I'd really rather have the new flash, but it just isn't installing for some reason.
Right now I am trying to reinstall Firefox which was somehow deleted and I keep getting the message that I can not use the new version I have downloaded. I have a power PC G5 and Mac OSX10.5.8. This is frustrating. What do I do?

Since installing the latest version of iTunes all my music files cannot be edited, and I cannot import new music files into iTunes. The messages says I do not have enough access privileges even though I am the administrator of the system. If anyone can help me sort this out I would be really grateful. I have checked the read and write privileges for all the iTunes folders and it all seems in order so I can't understand it.
In general, I am getting really frustrated with Apple. They seem to be getting ever more controlling in their approach to their consumers. I need to edit music file information as I am a dj. And why can't I import music, unless I buy it from iTunes? Most of all, why can't I use the devices I paid a lot of money for in the way I want to use them, and not be forced to coerced to use apple's fee paying services (iCloud, iTunes).
I have used apple computers since the early 1990's, but in the last year I have gotten rid of my iPhone and my iPad and replaced them with Android devices. Much better and much less control. Perhaps it is time to switch from Apple altogether.Hi

I have installed the most recent version of Snow Leopard on my MAC, and I am trying to install Mountain Lion from the Apple Store. It will not install, because it says I do not have 2GB of memory, even though I have over 200GB available. Please help.
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
One thing is the memory, and another thing is the hard disk space. You are telling me that you have 200 GB of free space on the hard disk, but the App Store is telling you that you have to install 2 GB of memory or more on your Mac if you want to upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.
First of all, open > About this Mac > More Info, and copy "Model Identifier" here, so we can know what Mac you have got and how much memory you can install.
We recommend to buy the memory in OWC or Crucial (Crucial is cheaper and offers the same compatibility warranty as OWC) because you won't probably have any problem with the memory you buy there -
My phone will not allow me to update to ISO 7.0.3. It says I don't have enough available space even after I delete everything and indicates that I gave 5.0 gb
Restart your phone, and if you can connect it to a computer and update it from iTunes instead of through wifi.

I am using a PowerBook and have recently upgraded to 10.5.8 and would like to get the latest version of Firefox I can. However, FF's home page says 'unfortunately the latest version of FF is not compatible'. But when I look at the requirements it seems that mine should fit. Basically, what is the latest version of FF I can get and how do I find it to download.
ThanksRight now I am trying to reinstall Firefox which was somehow deleted and I keep getting the message that I can not use the new version I have downloaded. I have a power PC G5 and Mac OSX10.5.8. This is frustrating. What do I do?

I receive this error from gmail and also when I go to the download site.
Your UserAgent string in Firefox is incorrect. Do correct do the following:
* Type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
* If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
* Filter = general.useragent.
* Right-click the preferences that are bold, one line at a time, and select Reset.
* Then restart Firefox -
The site is an https secure site that I normally visit with IE, however parts have become inaccessible to me on one particular computer that I use for an unknown reason...( Vista sp2)
I decided to try Firefox and it works well, except for the annoying reminder every time I try and log in to the website that its security certificate is invalid...I would suggest running the network via a pc for the day.. pick either your Mac or win7 pc.. you will need to do a bit of fiddling.. even better would be to just borrow a router. Or buy one on a 7day return .. !! Beg borrow.. don't steal. Just get a router other than TC. it won't take long to determine if the TC is the issue.
IMO at 18months you are suffering failure of the TC power supply. early days but it is showing signs of delinquency. And will get worse. But another router will show it up.. if the PC has dual ethernet cards you can run ICS.. or same sort of thing on the imac to the wireless .. ie the PC or Mac becomes the router with direct connection to the cable modem. Then share internet from there.
Once you do that for a day or two, you will quickly be able to track down if the issue is cable service/modem or the TC as router. -
I'm on Mac OS 10.6.7 on a new macbook pro. Trying to update to Firefox 4.0 but when I attempt to drag the update into my Apps folder, it says I do not have permission to update - even though it's my computer and I'm the admin. I've restarted the computer and reattempted, but it still did not work.
If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions or if you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
