As for the sound for Flash I am not sure, can you double check the volume settings for the Flash plugin in your Volume Control? Maybe somehow it changed. Is the video playback smooth for Flash?

Sometimes when downloading a .pdf file I'm not automatically switched to Acrobat reader, but the screen becomes white with a red borderline left and upper, IE doesn't have this problem

The screen shows the borders of the original site. Beneath the Mozilla workbar the screen becomes white, on the left and upper side there appears a thin red line. Nothing is downloaded, clicking the right mouse button doesn't solve the problem. It doesn't happen everytime I try to load a .pdf file. When I go to the same site using Internet Explorer I do not encouter the same problem, swiching to Acrobat Reader or FoxIt is immediate.

To enable this right you need Acrobat, not the free Reader.
However, starting from Reader X it is possible to add simple markups to any file, unless it has been specifically disallowed by the creator of the file.

When opened, Firefox screen becomes blue, not a crash, just the whole screen is blue.

It isn't a "Blue Screen of Death", the website doesn't load and the Firefox screen turns completely (no search bars left) tinted blue color that Windows 7 uses. hello Thomas_Hunt, can you try launching firefox in safe mode by pressing the shift key while it is starting and see if the issue is occurring there too? maybe a theme or hardware acceleration is interfering here...
if safemode is working, you can try disabling hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general and or disable addons that might cause the problem. it also would be interesting which graphics hardware (adapter description, driver date & driver version) you are using - you can access this information in firefox > help > troubleshooting information towards the bottom of that page... thank you

Screen becomes white

When my iMac goes to stop condition in this way: No activity >screen saver > stop, when I try to start the computer, the screen is totally white. To start the iMac I am obliged to go again to stop and then to start the iMac again.

So, even though you did not say, I can only deduce that you have tried ALL else that I already recommended without success, and have now decided that the OS reload is your best approach...hopefully you actually have tried those things since an OS reload is one of the more drastic resolution methods...if something less drastic could work, then it would be a shame to do something more drastic as the first attempt at resolution.
Nevertheless, since you ask, the simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:

It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. 5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:

If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.

Line on the screen of my ipod touch 4th gen. Starts left of the screen as a blue (bright backgr) or red (dark backgr) line becoming white halfway and going across screen. Any ideas/solutions?

I have an irritating line on the screen of my 4th gen ipod touch going left to right. It starts out as a blue line (with bright backgroung) or red line (with dark background). Switching backrounds will also switch the color of the line. Sometimes it stops halfway the screen. Sometimes the blue/red line becomes white somewhere halfway the screen and continuing as a white line to the other side of the screen. It mostly starts out as a normal screen and when using the blue/red line appears and when using some more the white part appears.Mostly in the beginning the line starts flickering and becomes more steady after a while.
I have searched on the internet but can only find info on some pixels acting weird (stuck/frozen/dead pixels). This is a whole line of pixels not doing what they are supposed to do.
Anyone an idea what this could be and how to solve it?

Did you ever fix this? My daughters is the same. Treated with tender loving care, we reset to factory and it disappeared but was back again after 2 or 3 days. Still in warranty so going to take to the genius bar, however a bit concerned that because it belongs to an 11 year old they are going to assume she's damaged it.

After recent upadte to firefox 9.0 beta 5 the screen becomes black for most part. Its like the pages and everything is working perfectly but it becomes black and flickers a lot.

I reset my settings, I installed an older version (that video was older version) but then I ran firefox in safe mode and it boots instantly into firefox with no white screen and no menu bar issue like I have when it is not ran in safe mode. Now I looked in my addons and it says I have none installed. Do i have to delete my personal settings and loose all ym passwords or is their a way I can back everything up (i backed up bookmarks) but I want to delete everything from firefox on my computer and start fresh and I want a backup incase it goes wrong.

Somehow i fixed it by reseting firefox which gives me a backup folder on my desktop. I completly uninstall firefox and remove settings, then install the latest version, and I replace my old profile and go into the .ini file and edit the new path.

Having more than four tabs open causes Firefox to become non-responsive, lagging for sometimes up to 5 minutes and can't close it without task manager.

If I try to open a fifth tab, or try to pin a tab Firefox mutes, or whites out and the mouse freezes. When this happens the title bar states that it is, "unresponsive." I either have to wait until it starts moving again to restart it because I have no close button, and this takes up to 5 minutes and sometimes even more, or I have to crash it using the task manager (ctrl + alt + del) when it takes longer. Also, any time I try to pin a tab it does the same thing with a single pinned tab. If I try to open firefox after a crash, it immediately becomes unresponsive for an even longer time.
