Firefox setup (version 8, 9, 10) stops/disappears after extracting files

XP 64 English
1. None of my browswer worked properly with different issues: IE did not started at all, Firefox 10 crashed after error window (Microsoft), et.c
2. Firefox cannot be reinstalled, extracted file than disappeared.
3. Removed all internet browsers, made virus and malvare scans reseted winsock, IP and network.
4. Could reinstal IE8 and Safari and they seem to work.
5. With Firefox I have the same problem: setup (8, 9 and 10) extracts files then disappears.

There is no "unblock" in the Properties box (see attached). I have to add that it happens with every "setup.exe" not only with Firefox.
Some could be launched by renaming them.

WRT54G, Firmware Version: 8.00.2, Stops routing after a day, requires a quick 10-15 second power cyc... work properly for a day or so before powering down again….
I was using for years the BEFW11S4 Model without any issues before it finally failed. Due to loyalty, I went out over a month ago to purchase the current model. The problems did not pop-up until month of December… The issue had me thinking at first was the internet connection…
Any advice on dealing with this issue… Is it a Software and/or Hardware? It appears to be a software related condition…
For those other WRT54G users that appear to be having similar issues, regardless of the firmware, it would appear we all seem to be facing the same condition of resolving the issue after a power cycle…
Is there anyone out there that has already resolved this issue (e.g. Configuration changes)? Does anyone have input that Linksys is actively working on this issue?
Although I am sure we will find a solution, having to cycle the power is a bit disappointing since my older model had no such flaws with my current internet connection…
Thanks for the support out there….

If you have an Intel wireless card you can try this.  I came across this link on the forum a days ago and it seems to help.  The problem is that my problem was much more intermittent than some people are experiencing.  It mainly seemed to appear when undocked the computer or if there was a power outage during the day.  I would be interested to see if it works for you or if I'm just chasing my tail.  I've seen other suggestions for changing the thresholds in the router which may be related.

  • WRT54G Version 6 - Wirless connection stops working after a few minutes on all devices.

I have tried setting the factory defaults and upgrading the firmware.  Nothing has seemed to fix the problem.  On my wii and laptops in the house, none can connect.  Windows error message: "Wireless association failed due to an unkown reason."  When i try accessing the settings on my router (192.168.1.1) it just goes to a blank page, not even prompting for a user name or password.  I usually fix this by hitting the reset button on the router, but the problem keeps coming back.  Is linksys every gona release a new firmware upgrade to fix this problem?  Or is my router just too old? (3 years about)

Please reset the Router for 45 Secs and unlpugg the Powercable from the Router.
Then try to access the Setup page of then configure the Router.
Even after Reseting the Router if you are unable to acces the Setup page. Disable the firewall on the Computer if that doesn't works check if you are able to access the Setup page. Even if that does't work you can check on a different Computer.

  • Enterprise Formulas Disappear After Performing File Save in Project Server 2010 in BCM

We are in a transitory state with our Project Server in 2010 in Backward Compatibility Mode (BCM) while we wait for users to get their 2010 clients.  We have been having users complain that formula-driven enterprise fields are not updating.
When I would look at the field, everything would be fine.  One user then determined that the formula would disappear only after performing a File==>Save while in the client.  If you close the file, then re-open the file, the formula magically
re-appears.  We then determined that the problem is only effecting some enterprise field formulas. There is also no pattern to which formulas disappear and which remain.  For example, we have two enterprise fields to compute the variance with the
original baseline date; one for the original baseline start and the other for the original baseline finish. One formula will disappear and the other will remain.  The formulas are almost identical and the configuration settings are identical.  The
only thing consistent is that it seems to affect the same fields each time.
We are already looking ahead to getting off BCM and we have yet to see the problem in our test server where BCM is turned off.  Also, the problem is only affecting clients that are using v2010 and our v2007 users have been spared.  Needless to
say, these problems are spooking our user community and people are telling their IT people to delay the installation of their 2010 clients.  This puts us into a Catch-22 since we believe the problem will disappear once we turn-off BCM, but we can't get
off BCM until all the users have their 2010 clients and now the users are resisting getting those clients.
Does anybody know some hidden configuration setting that will solve our problem? I am really growing weary of these bugs.

    Hi Chris,
Have you thought about a corrupted local cache for v2010 users? This could corrupt custom fields.
    You might try the following:
Close and exit MS Project Professional 2010 application (if already open on your machine)
Click on Start menu -> Run
Type %appdata% and click on "OK"
Navigate to the Microsoft\MS Project\14\Cache folder
Delete all of the folders and files in this directory
    Hope this helps.

  • InputFile value disappears after openning file

    I am using Jdev 11.1.16
Since a moment ago something weird started happening with an inputFile component. Right after you browse and open a file, the filename suddenly disappears from the component.
It doesn't matter if autosubmit is true or false, the filename suddenly disappears, is lost immediately after selecting a file.
I created a brand new page to isolate the issue with other stuff from the page, and the same behavior. What's going on?
I see some other posting on this issue, but no solution. This sounds like a bug as other mentioned, but I don't think so. A couple of days I worked with the inputFile component a no issues.
I have no clue on this.... Help please
    Thanks

Finally, I found the solution. The property usesUpload was missing in the parent form.
    <af:form usesUpload="true">
    <af:inputFile label="Upload:" value="#{managedBean.file}"/>
    <af:commandButton text="Begin" action="#{managedBean.doUpload}"/>
    </af:form>

Download the latest installer from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ and choose Save File. Save the file to your desktop. Open and run the installer.

  • When I click on firefox setup 11.o nothing happens

when i click on firefox setup 11.0 nothing happens

You may have a corrupted file. Right-click it, select Delete.
Then, go to [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com], download a fresh copy. When Internet Explorer asks you what you want to do with the File, tell it to save to your Desktop.
Once it is finished downloading, double-click it. Allow any administrator prompts, so that Firefox can continue.
    Does that help you any?
A few other things you can do (these are good steps to ensure your PC's health anyway):
Run all Windows Updates. Install any Service Packs, Hardware updates, etc.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers].
Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.

Try to clear the Download list or remove that file from the list if you want to preserve a list of downloaded files.
    See Tools > Downloads
You may need to delete downloads.sqlite in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] if the problem persists.

  • I have installed version 6.0.2. Everytime I start Firefox, a popup opens up titled 'opening firefox setup 6.0.2.exe' and offers to save the file. How do I stop this from popping up since I already have the version offered?

The update was attempted automatically, I think. When it would not complete it said download and run the update manually. I did that. Every time I start Firefox the Firefox Setup 6.0.2.exe file is offered up to save.

    * see [[firefox has just updated tab shows each time you start Firefox]]
Probably you have accidentally added the new page as an addition to your home pages, or Firefox is having problems with your settings; it may help to close down with the <br/> '''Firefox button -> []Exit'''; rather than just quitting the application.

  • Once latest Firefox 24 version uploaded, some sites visited get pop up that Adobe Flash Player 11.8 r800 has stopped working

Once latest Firefox 24 version uploaded, some sites visited get pop up that Adobe Flash Player 11.8 r800 has stopped working. Have tried following and none work:
    - reinstalled latest Shockwave Flash software, uninstalled and reinstalled with clean wipes
    - downgraded Flash to previous version
    - disabled hardware acceleration
Only when I disable Javascript in Firefox will the error stop but then no Flash application will work.
This is clearly a Firefox issue with the latest version. The previous version was using the latest Flash and there was no issue.
Below you will see I am using older version of Flash as I was testing previous, but same issue when I go the latest verison.
    Please fix in an update.

Well that solution failed ... lasted for almost a day. The crashing of Flash is back.

  • Each time I open firefox i receive two unwanted pop ups of the "you have chosen to open..." variety. two for firefox setup and one for a word document how do i stop this?

i open firefox and get two popups that state "you have chosen to open and then its for firefox setup 3.6.1 or beta which i once used and uninstalled. a second is for a file in my documents--always the same file.

Delete downloads.sqlite (plus downloads.rdf, if it exists) in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
