Firefox start page comes up, but it will not let me search for any new information

Regarding the start page, are all of the different boxes broken?
* search box in the page
* address bar
* search bar on the right end of the main toolbar
In case one of your extensions is involved, could you test the page in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
Any difference?

What are you using to search? You should be able to search any drive in from the Finder. If you're having trouble, try "EasyFind" from the App Store (free). You can search any volumes with it.

I'm logged in and the page knows it but it will not let me in. IE9 works.
I logged in to the Adobe site from Dreamweaver CS5.5. The site recognized me and displayed my name on the page. However, it did not display the welcome bar where registered users like me can make posts. See [http://forums.adobe.com/community/general/forum_comments?view=discussions&start=0]. The bar should appear just below the black Forums box on the left, with an avatar for the user.
After contacting Adobe customer support I just tried it in IE9 and Google Chrome with no problems. Entered the url in a fresh Firefox page with the same result - no access.
So I thought that I would ask you about how to fix it.Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

ITunes will not allow me to edit any song information
Not sure why but iTunes will not allow me to edit any song information in iTunes library.
Just a few questions first. When did the problem begin & did you install/change anything at that time? Are the songs greyed out and do they play okay?

I tried to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox but on the Firefox start page it still says "you are not on the latest version of Firefox, upgrade now". The start page looks different so maybe it did upgrade but why does the reminder still show?
You may see that message below the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old Firefox default home page. It appears that page is no longer being maintained by Google. You appear to have the latest Firefox version.

I need to make a pdf document, already made in photoshop, 'page turn' and then add it to my website as an e-brochure. I know I can do this in indesign but indesign will not open pdf files for some inexplicable reason. Any ideas how I can do it without completely starting again?

please try this (all terms are translated from my German programs to my best knowledge):
1. Did the creator of the pdf file enable the import options?
2. See import options: choose an other visibility option for your layer.
3. Let you show the import options and click into one with a black background and try these out (often a gray is selected).
4. See trimming: try the different modes there. Often works: "Media".
5. Is the pdf file (eg from Word) correctly created?
6. Is the PDF file protected? >>> no import possible.
7. If that does not help, store the pdf file in Acrobat, repair possible errors, run the PDF Optimizer before placing in InDesign.

Update to iOS 7.04 on ipad2. The set up screen appears but it will not let me continue the set up. It will not let me get to the next screen after choose wifi network. It is if I am stuck on the choose wifi network page. Cannot cancel or continue. Cannot switch it off. Holding home button brings set up is not complete message. But it won't let me continue. Please help. What else an I try to get through the set up?

Whenever I connect my iPod nano to my laptop, iTunes will automatically come up, but it will not register or pick up on my iPod. How do I resolve this so I can sync my music to the device?
1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
3. Check the USB cable
4. Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job.
7. Check for third-party software conflicts. -

I don't understand what you are setting up using numbers - or letters. If it's a passcode, then you can translate the letters into numbers as you would on a telephone keyboard - for example, an "S" would be a 7.
But that may not matter, as the process for setting up voicemail is strongly tied to your cellular carrier. If the above doesn't answer your issue, contact your cellular carrier for setup assistance. -
FCPX crashed and I reported it here. Tom Wolsky suggested I trash prefs, perform an fsck, reboot and redownload FCPX from the App store. The reboot was okay but Safari will not let me access the App Store to redownload FCP. I'm running 10.6.8 but the App Store icon is grayed out. I get a "Safari doesn't recognize addresses starting with macappstore."
How do I get to the App Store to get FCPX back? I'm using the Trial version now.How are you linking to the App Store from Safari? From this page?

So, I have created my home sharing from my base computer to my laptop. On my lap top I see the tab for home sharing but it will not let me connect to my computer to share my music over. I have done everything iTunes has told me to but it still won't work. Any help would make my day...
I got some more info that may help.
I put a cd on my laptop, and was able to share it to my computer... So the problem is only from my computer to my laptop. I tried the firewall thing and it did not help. I read the rest of the trouble shooting page, and nothing else applies. iTunes is an execption and already was. I can not think of anything else being my problem. Do you think I should re-install iTunes or would that be a waste of time? At this point I am about to just call Apple for some help because I am getting to stressed over this.

I am trying to delete my old icloud account but it will not let me delete the account?
If you are trying to delete an old iCloud account in order to sign in with an updated ID, and if the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going tohttps://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use yourcurrent password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.comand change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I am trying to change my Apple ID under icloud on my phone, but it will not let me do it, I have already tried to delete the account, but I cannot do that becuase it wants me to put in a password that I do not have. Particularly for your case:
iCloud
iOS 6 and later: Go to Settings > iCloud.
If you signed out before changing your Apple ID, enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download to your device.
If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account. Depending on what iCloud options are turned on, you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete data from your device. To confirm, tap Delete. (If you're using iOS 7 and have Find My iPhone turned on, you'll be asked to enter the password for your previous Apple ID. Enter the password, then tap Turn Off.) The data will be deleted from your device, but not from iCloud.
Enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download again to your device.
If you still get prompted for your old Apple ID's password, the following article provides some additional troubleshooting steps:

Download them to iTunes abd then sync the apps. Make an appointment with Apple and see what the problem is.
