Firefox started crashing a week ago and now I can't type in a foreign language (Korean) when I can on other web browsers like IE or chrome..help!
The language bar is working just fine. And, I can see that the setting has changed to the other language but it just won't type in firefox. It keeps typing in English. It works in word or other web browsers, so I'm assuming this only happens in firefox. So, then, what is the issue?
In Firefox 3.6 on Windows you can hide the menu bar via "View > Toolbars" or via the right click context menu on a toolbar.
Press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the menu bar.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the menu bar or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide.

Just because you were speaking with someone that is representing Verizon does not mean you were speaking to a "Customer Service" agent. Customer service is only open during specific hours. After those hours the only people online is the Online Sales Department. It is very possible you were chatting with the sales department.

I upgraded to mountain lion a week ago and now on startup of my macbook pro, microsoft excel and word start up automatically and then crash? very strange can anyone please help? I have checked the login items under users and groups and there is nothing.
Are you using the Office for Mac 2011 version, as you need to do? The Office for Mac 2004 is Not at all compatible with Mountain Lion, and the 2008 version has been noted to have some problems running with ML.

I uninstalled firefox a few weeks ago and now want to reinstall it. When I install it it downloads fine and runs, it extracts up to 100% then othing happends so it doesn't install.
It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading and installing work. -
I allowed Apple updates about two weeks ago and now Safari is way too slow. I have tried using Airport and Ethernet and the problem is the same. Yesterday, I upgraded to Safari 5.1 and now the problem is worse. Any solutions?
I can't stand peremptory affirmations like "Nothing is wrong with Safari".

You give her a good advice which could, perhaps, lead to an improvement.
But must also admit that Safari is a very slow browser compared to Firefox or Chrome.
And you can't ignore all the problems which arose when upgrading to Lion and were related to the new build and specs of Safari 5.1.
The best example is the apparition of "garbage type" (use of Last Resort font) when reading numerous sites. This never occured before and is the direct consequence of Safari compliance to Web Open Type. This standard prohibits the use of Type 1 Postscript Fonts and is the reason why so many people are in trouble.

I am a very "clean" user who hates the bells and whistles of third party.
My Mac is always up-to-date and despite all my Mac loving care, I run into some problems.
Imagine the nightmare which can occurs for the vulgum pecus who isn't, by definition, a power user aware of all the requirements for running a System in optimal conditions.
May be Safari is one step in advance on its time but lambda users are paying the price for it. -
I purchased a wireless keyboard for my iPad a week ago and now the keypad doesn't pop up when I want to type anything.
Have you tried to go into bluetooth and telling it to forget your keyboard?
Drastic but might enable you to repair the devices and see if it clears up the glitch.
I had a period of time when my iPad always sensed and used my bluetooth keyboard. I think it finally went away after I powered down the iPad. (not just a put to sleep, a bonafide 'slide the red slider to shut it down' powering down. -

No I didn't. I have just synchronized my computer with itunes and that's all. I also click to "allow this computer to use itunes''. How can I put my videos on the new computer? Franckly speaking I just use itunes for downloading and I don't know how to set up the options and so on.

Why the iPod is so funny while it can syn i week ago and now can't even find the iPod on the itune left hand column. I can still hear the sound when the iPod is plug in the PC, Why? I have install over a thousand songs and reinstall itune means to do it all over again. What a waste of time and energy? There are songs I can not retrieve again!!!!

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police

firefox crashes on opening within seconds. this started suddenly a few weeks ago and despite several daily attempts, i still can't load firefox application. it crashes immediately upon startup every time no matter what and crash reporter arrives. i have researched all the articles and followed their suggestions. i installed the newest version of firefox and still get the same results. i can't even open firefox in safe mode.
You do not want to remove the program directory with a Mac because Firefox is most likely installed in the system Applications directory which is where the system applications are stored.
Have you tried removing the Firefox plist file from your user library? I have Mac OS 10.6.8 as well, and that file is at /Users/<user name>/Library/Preferences. Close Firefox and remove that file, then start Firefox again. -

Even though these troubleshooting steps are centered around the iPhone, they address the "Invalid SIM" or "No SIM Card installed" or "No SIM" alert messages and should apply to your iPad. I'd run through them and see if that helps:
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Toggle Airplane mode On and Off.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Check for a carrier settings update. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, a prompt will appear.
Remove the SIM Card and verify that it is a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it is not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Restore the iPhone.
If you still are unable to resolve this issue, contact Apple support for further assistance.

Bought PE12 a week ago and now 13 is out; quite annoying.
One week ago I bought PE version 12 (upgrade from 10; costs 79 euro) and today I received an message about PE13 is out. Can upgrade again for 83 euro. Quite annoying that there as no warning about an upcoming new release. Just one week old software and now already old.
Contact Adobe Sales. Usually they will let you have the new version.

Had an Ipad 2 from Christmas 2011, used a digital camera to record video, a cannon ELPH series, I put the video in my Iphoto on my mac book pro and WAS able to sync them to my photo on my IPAD. The little photo with the camera icon on it was great no problems.!!! Then I was not able to do this any more, I had to drop the video into the video icon on the ipad from my itunes accunt, however you can not send the video to any one from the ipad like you can under the photo Icon, the buffering was also bad. I got a new Ipad 4 for Christmas and again I was able to sync video when i connected it to my ipad and video i recorded with the cannon camera from halloween showed up GREAT!!! This was stored on my Ipad under the Photo Icon and I can send an email, imessage, etc with the vieo. Fast forward another week put my Christmas videos on my mac book pro and when i plugged my ipad to my mac book to sync in it again did not work, it would not sync the video to my photos, though I JUST did it a week earlier and it worked (those videos are still on the IPAD 4 and work fine). Why can I not do it now, I can drop the video into the video Icon on the IPAD and watch, but you can not send it anywhere as if u had it stored under the photo icon.???
What is the file name of the video(s) you want to sync?
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)
