Firefox stops loading webpages when uses 99% CPU ( mozcrt19.dll )

When are opened differents webpages ( not many pages, even with 2 ) Firefox uses 99% cpu and doesn't load pages anymore until i restart it or kill the process. ( sometimes i need to kill it because the process never finishes ).
With a process viewer software, i can see this file using the CPU ( mozcrt19.dll ). This is an intermittent problem, there's no a specific page.

This is why i hate free software.
Support sucks.

  • Why does firefox stop loading then when i close it and try to open it up again I keep getting this message:Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system

Firefox will just stop loading/ connecting to the internet. The gray circle will just continually move but it never turns green to load the pages. I know it's not my internet because my internet explorer works just fine while this is happening to firefox. So I close firefox and then try to re open it but I get the message: Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system. So I wait a little bit then try and re open it and still get the same message. I then go into my windows task manager and try and end the firefox proccess but it won't end. So I restart my computer and firefox eventually starts acting up again.

For possible causes of this error, and how to troubleshoot it see [[Firefox is already running but is not responding]].

why my firefox stopped loading when I want to open a new tab? this will continue if I do not move the mouse. this is also happen when I download. if I does not move the mouse, the download process stops or stagnant ormanaged to download but not full

hey, just to keep you updated - there is now a fix available for firefox 25, which should address the particular problem of pages not loading unless the mouse is moved.
if you have downgraded to firefox 24 to work around the issue, please go to ''firefox > options > advanced > update'' and turn automatic updates back on. then go to ''firefox > help > about firefox'' which should trigger the update to firefox 25.0.1.
<br>in case you need to download the setup file for firefox 25.0.1 separately you can do so from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/#firefox

  • Firefox stops loading pages after trying to open a heavy page

firefox stops loading pages after trying to open a page with alot of pictures etc, with big size. it just keeps on loading pages with no result.
my internet is fairly low speed so i take my time but this happened each time i tried to open such sites.
even when i close that '''tab''' and try to open just '''google.com''' , it wont load.
its solved after closing and opening firefox again . but happens again if i try to open the same heavy site

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

  • Mac Mini Stopped Loading Webpages

    Heres the deal:
I have a late 2012 mac mini. OS X Yosemite. 10.10.1  I've had it connected to the same Comcast wireless modem for several months without issue. The past couple days the mini stopped loading webpages. It's like the internet is really slow. Sometimes it will load a page after several minutes. The internet/network works perfectly fine all all other devices in the house. Speed tests at 15Mb/s download on my phone. But heres the weird part, my Mac Mini works well when I wirelessly tether my phone's LTE to the computer, it loads webpages just fine. I've tried Chrome and Safari. I tried unplugging all the USB/Firewire cables from the back. I can't turn bluetooth off because of my mouse and keyboard.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Dean

Hold down the option key and select the Wi-Fi menu in the menu bar. What values are shown for the following?
              PHY Mode
              Channel
              Security
              Signal/Noise or RSSI
              Transmit Rate
Please do not post the BSSID, as that information is private.
Now hold down the option key again and select
               ▹ System Information... ▹ Network ▹ Wi-Fi
Compare the two-letter Country Code with the ISO code for your country. Does it match? The code X0 means that the country couldn't be determined. The code X3 means South America, not otherwise specified.

  • I have some web pages that loaded completely when using 3G but partially loaded using Wifi.

I have some web pages that loaded completely when using 3G but partially loaded (only text without any images ) using Wifi. Is it a site specific issue?

Can you rule out the NoScript extension as a cause of the issues on those sites? Even if you allow the main site to run scripts, often a website will spread its content over additional servers, so you may need to visit the "S" button menu a second or third time to get full functionality. (Over time, you'll recognize some the servers as being for ads, tracking, or sharing buttons and you can just let those parts of the page not work.)

  • Partial page load problem when using Muse in an existing non-Muse Masterpage; how to issue a jquery

Partial page load problem when using Muse in an existing non-Muse Masterpage; how to issue a jquery args.get_isPartialLoad().
My page is loaded into a palcehold within the Ajax update panel within the current Masterpage, so page loadload doesn't occur. But if my Muse page can capture  the partial pageload then I can tell jquery to run the Muse formating routine.

Jackie,  I am having the same issue and agree that it obscures our site analytics.
I only have the "WebMarketing" subscription - so I cannot see how often people visit my site (unless I just dont know how to view that).  Here is a screen shot of how many different locations I have and how much it affects my site visitor count based on the other locations which seem "legit" because they have more page views than visits.
I hope there is a way to fix or block this.

  • Firefox periodically stops loading websites entirely, using 25-30% CPU

Just in the last day or so (possibly around the same time I updated to 7.0.1) I've had difficulty even using Firefox with normal use. After a very short period of time (often less than a minute), Firefox will give up on loading websites. Sometimes a few tabs will load, and then it comes to a complete stop. I can't seem to find a trend, though I've noticed that often a very heavy site like Gmail or ESPN.com will cause this behavior.
While the tabs spin trying to load, my CPU bumps up from the normal 0-10% that Firefox uses when it's working correctly, up to a consistent 25-35%. The only solutions I've found are to restart Firefox (which recreates the problem as when I open again, it attempts to load all the tabs again which repeats the issue) or to manually stop the loading of every page which has not completed, and wait until Firefox calms down back to regular CPU usage. In fact, the usage has been so strong to cause my computer to shut off.
I've tried everything I can think of -- 7.0.1 runs fine on other computers; the internet works fine while Firefox is struggling if I use Chrome alongside it. Loading in Safe Mode hasn't solved the problem either -- the exact same situation occurs.
As some background, up until the last day, I've been a heavy Firefox user, often with multiple Panorama groups with 5-25 tabs per, using TabMixPlus, GreaseMonkey, and Firebug, all known to slow down Firefox, yet I've had no issues beyond (normal) memory bloat, which was always resolved with a restart, and my tabs always reloaded quickly. I've got the processing speed to use Firefox as well, so that's no the issue (QuadCore i7 Processor, 8GB RAM).
It's become frustrating to the point that if this isn't resolved, the browser is borderline-unusable, and I'll have to begrudgingly make a switch to Chrome. Does anyone have ''any'' suggestions?

More information -- I've tried disabling all my Plugins while in Safe Mode, with no success. I've periodically retried Firefox and it always seems like everything's fine, and then it gives up. I've been unable to pinpoint exactly (if anything) could lead to this in general and within a given session.
I've read a number of other tickets and tried other solutions that haven't helped, so I'll mention them or anything else I've learned that could be relevant:
    * I've turned off hardware acceleration in Firefox's settings
    * I've never used anything besides the default Firefox theme
    * My places.sqlite file is quite large (~61MB) and is updated each time I use Firefox, but I don't know if that could be related (another point mentioned it)
    * I'm using Windows 7 64-Bit
    * I have no configured firewall (and as mentioned, no problems with Firefox ever carry over to another Browser, so it's definitely not internet-related)
    * According ProcessExplorer, the thread is stalling on something related to MOZCRT19.dll. Again, don't know if this is helpful or not.
Just waiting on some advice as to what steps I can try next. Thanks!

  • IPhone using Mac Mini's internet connection sharing, stops loading webpages

Bought an iPhone 1 hour ago.
I'm sharing my internet connection to my iBook and MacBook from my Mac Mini. Works fine.
    Can't connect using the iPhone.
It will detect the network, it will show full network reception, but it will only load webpages for the first 10 seconds and then stops.
Tried removing the password, fixing a channel, resetting the iPhone (full reset), the "forget this network" trick, nothing worked.
It will load web pages in the first 10 seconds of detecting my open network. Its highly frustrating...
Any suggestions? Maybe using the restore option from iTunes instead of the reset ones from iPhone? Will this try to reinstall the latest firmware?

Very similar case here -- I bought an iPhone just yesterday, set it up with internet sharing on my Mac Mini, and am getting random (but frequent) failures connecting via wifi. Small web pages can get through sometimes, large (or complex) web pages almost always hang during loading, e-mail pretty much never works.
However, using "edge" works just fine.
I've nosed around these forums a bit (and googled for this problem a bit), and it does seem like there are a number of users having this sort of trouble. However, some folks with this problem have noted that they can run wifi just fine at other hotspots. (I haven't taken my phone to another hotspot yet, maybe I'll try tomorrow...) And I've shared my internet connection to other PCs from my Mini successfully before. So, in my opinion, this problem does not appear to be an actual hardware fault in either the iPhone or the Mac Mini, but rather some disagreement between the settings chosen on both sides; my guess is that this'll take a driver modification in either or both to fix, rather than a replacement of either the iPhone or the Mini.
    Just my current guess, though.

  • Firefox stops loading websites after a while

Unfortunately I can't narrow down the problem very much. Firefox just stops loading websites after a while without any obvious reasons - while Chrome or IE work, so it's not a connection problem AND I have it on at least 2 PCs. This is my environment:
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate and Pro, all important updates installed. Both PCs have 8-16 GB RAM, SSD - can't be a resource issue.
Actual version of Kaspersky Internet Security is used, Firefox is not blocked.
    Firefox version 37.0.1
Some FF AddOns in use: AdBlock Edge, BetterPrivacy, ColorZilla, Firebug, Flashblock, Ghostery, Web Developer
I'm certain I don't have a virus and the issue is present on a brand new installed system as well. I don't use a proxy, DNS prefetching is disabled and IPv6, too.
It seems to happen more often when the PC hasn't been touched for 20 minutes or so (PC is not falling asleep) and after sleep modes, however it also happens just in the middle of working. I usually have 10-20 pages open (resource friendly ones usually) at once.
This also happens for websites that are already loaded. A click on reload also leads to a can't load website error.
I can't exactly say when this issue started, probably in the last 6 month with some FF update. Before it worked fine. This is becoming a real issue for me because FF becoming very unreliable.
Does anyone else experience this behaviour or has a fix for it?
NB: you may want to check the compatibility of your "None of these solve my problem" button. It might be a Chrome (41.0.2272.118m) issue but if someone's FF is not working and he's trying to find help using another browser...it might be a dead end (nothing happens on click).
    Example: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/deskto/other?search=can%27t+load+websites+after+while#summarize-question

Does Firefox work normally again after exiting it and starting it backup again?
Several users reported with Firefox 36 that Firefox would eventually not be able to load more pages. One believed that Firefox was no longer sending DNS requests, which is a prerequisite to being able to connect to the web server. I don't recall that we identified the source of the problem, but in many cases, it was "something" in the settings folder.
Along those lines, could you conduct this test:
    '''Create a new Firefox profile'''
''This is in addition to and does not replace your existing settings.''
A new profile will have your system-installed plugins (e.g., Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions, or other customizations. It also should come with completely fresh settings databases and a fresh cache folder.
Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager using Start > search box (or Run) -- type or paste the following and press Enter:
    firefox.exe -P
    ''Don't delete anything here.''
Any time you want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog.
Click the Create Profile button, assign a name like April7, and ignore the option to change the folder location. Then start Firefox in the new profile you created.
It might take a while to determine whether the new profile is works better than your old one. If you want to import your bookmarks from your regular profile during that time, here's how:
You can use the Library dialog (Ctrl+Shift+b or "Show All Bookmarks") to access the Restore feature. The trick is knowing where to find your bookmark backups in your regular profile. After clicking Choose File... you can paste this into the file name space and press Enter to drill down to your profile folders:
    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
The semi-randomly-named folder that has your last backup is usually the one ending with "default". Click into that one, then into the '''bookmarkbackups''' folder. Here you can pick the most recently updated file to restore.
Important: restoring a bookmark backup wipes any bookmarks currently in your active Firefox profile and replaces it with the contents of the backup file.
I think it's also reasonable to install AdBlock Plus and Web Developer, as those, by themselves, are unlikely to be the source of this seemingly rare problem. But I wouldn't add all your extensions at once to the new profile.

  • Firefox wont open webpage when linked from another program

When linking from other programs, a new firefox window will open, but displaying a blank page instead of loading the page. I checked for firefox being the default web browser, but I cant figure out what other options may be important. It actually started happening when upgrading to Ubuntu Natty, did not happen when using ff 4.0.1 on maverick. Any Ideas? Thanks for the help.

First and foremost, please update Firefox to '''3.6.17''' by clicking '''Help'''| '''Check For Updates'''.
The reason for this is because there was a security breach at Comodo which is an SSL certificate provider recently whereby a number of fraudulent certificates were inadvertently issued. These allow a hacker to impersonate any site including online banking and the Firefox version you're running at the moment will not warn you that the site is a fake. The fraudulent certificates were blacklisted in v3.6.17 and beyond.<br><br>
