Firefox stops me from accessing info on my credit cards and logs me out.
Once I log onto my mastercard account, and try to get to any specific are, firefox puts that bar accross the that firefox prevented me from redirecting. then there is an ALLOW button and an X. Either one will sign me out. I need to tell FF to allow me access to my own account!
How to I change the thing to allow me access????

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. I think this is one of the problems Apple is creating by changing the OS so often. I had fomer colleagues at [a major aerospace contractor] who told me that so many original files were ultimately lost because of the deadly change in the "Save As" operation that they are now afraid of every OS update. Apple has badly damaged their support base with that very prominent company (they won't update now until they've fully examined and understand changes in the pre-conditioned nature of OS computer functions), and they are a whole lot less enthaled with Mac-related equipment/software. Can't blame them, I too used orginal files that way (as easy-to-use templates), and lost some important files before I realized what was happening (to late to revert). Companies should not have to retrain employees each time an OS gets an update, it's can be very expensive several different ways. They learned a painful lesson with that one. And because I'm now retired and don't use multiple devices, I need iCloud like I need a hole in the head... but I'm told there's no way to keep Apple out of my computer. Fortunately, because of major problems when initially installing Mountain Lion, one hold-over of the hardware/software damage I experienced was that iCloud can no longer access my computer even though everything else is working fine again. That was the only "good luck" I had as a result of that expensive nightmare.

Stopping staff from accessing software

Hoping someone can help me me out please.
I have been asked by my manager to somehow be able to stop staff from accessing software on our systems (copying) but still be able to use the software (I guess read only).
I also need to try and stop access to certain websites on Safari.
I tried to set up an admin account and guest account, tried to apply some settings and then BIG trouble, directed me into Darwin and a complete re-install had to be done. Well I'm only basic on the Mac's.
We have OS X versions 10.2 and 10.3, so I think some of the settings may differ. I'm hoping a step by step guide/talk through could help me out. I've looked on line, its seems to look a bit tricky.

Anything that can be read can be copied. Read Only means it cannot be altered, ie, written to.
Your problem is the same as that of any company concerned with piracy, the illegal copying of proprietary software, whether media content, applications or documents.
There is no single or definite solution. Perhaps you could decrease the ease of copying by disabling the CD drive, or placing some restrictions or monitoring on network access. Or perhaps just reinforce company policy to remind your employees that illegal copying is wrong.
No easy answers I am sorry to say.
Blocking access to certain websites is much more achievable. Have a look at the Safari Plug In, *Pith Helmet* - you can google for it - if you use Safari. That can give a fair degree of control over which sites are accessible. I am not sure if there is aversion for 10.2 but hey, switch to 10.3 anyway as it is superior in many respects to 10.2. -
how do i edit my billing info if my credit card associated with apple id expired and i have a duty to app store from the time when i had the old credit card?
so the thing is a few days ago i made an app store purchase and i didn't know i was running out of money on my credit card. i realized that only when i tried to purchase another item and it didn't work. nothing special til here. the problem is that meanwhile my credit card was replaced by a new one by the bank because the old one was soon expiring. So the data associated with the old credit card no longer exist.
i tried to edit my billing info associated with my apple id in order to enter the new credit card data, but the system doesn't allow me to do that.
so i can neither pay my purchase, nor edit my info, nor access app store anymore.

You have encounter Activation Lock, the antitheft feature of the iPhone. The previous owner did not remove the phone from their account. The phone cannot be used until they do. Return to the store and let them sort this out. It is very unusual for someone to "forget" to disable activation lock, as it is necessary to do so to erase personal information on the phone. So it is quite likely you bought a stolen phone.

How do I delete a credit card from my iTunes account without adding another one? You cannot use that ID without a credit card. You did not create your account correctly. There is very specific way in which you must create your account if you do not want to use a credit card. If you don't have a credit card, you will have to start all over again.
1. You will have to sign out of that ID before you can create a new one. Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID>Sign out.
2. You cannot use the email address that you used for the first ID that you created. You will need to use another email address now
3. You have to download a free app in order to start the new Apple ID process.

I have opened my account on my credit card and there has been 3 payments go from my account. 17.49 and then day before 5.49 and 4 days before 4.99. Really annoyed that apple can let this happen and letting app makers con people by doing this.

That email was a phishing attempt to get your iTunes account and payment details - iTunes accounts aren't 'frozen', and iTunes don't need your social security info.
If your husband entered his card details then he should contact the card issuer immediately and get it cancelled and replaced.
He should also change the password on his iTunes account e.g. via the Store > View Account menu option on his computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com

It's a common way to run multiple OSs, if there's room. I've had two on my internal HD for a couple of years. Plus a small partition for a copy of my Snow Leopard Install disc. Just be sure to leave at least 10% to 15% free on each partition.
Running Lion on a partition of the disk that also contains your backups is not a good idea; if that drive fails, you risk losing both copies of your stuff!
OSX will also run somewhat more slowly, because access to an external is slower. That probably won't be very significant, though.
Also, would the decision be effected by how long I want to maintain the SL section? I am assuming once I sort out what to replace Quicken with, I won't want to keep the SL section. So would it be easy enough to 'clear out the SL data, and open the partition?

All things considered, your best bet may be to "clone" your SL partition to the second one, then (once you're sure everything is cool), erase the original (top) SL partition. You can use the Restore tab of Disk Utility for that (#7 in the same link), or a "cloning" app such as CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper. Then install Lion on the top partition.
When you're done with SL, just delete it's partition and expand the Lion partition down into the vacated space. -

If you are just visiting Singapore, then leave the account as it is. If you have moved there, then view your account using the iTunes app on a Mac or PC and change the country/region to your current location and address. If you do not have a bank card, you can fund your account using iTunes gift cards if available in Singapore.
