Firefox suddenly can not play any media (video, NPR programs, etc)

Recently, without a reason I can point to, I can no longer play videos on YouTube or listen to NPR programs.
I have seen another post that suggested that it is the fault of a recent Flash update, but everything works fine in Chrome and IE on this same computer.
I have uninstalled Firefox, rebooted and reinstalled w/o change in behavior.
I am running windows 7.

Would these replies/fixes apply to Win Vista system too? ff14, ff15, both slow as molasses loading web pages. They both seem to hang for a while, then start loading again. Flash ?? Give me a break. Updated to 11.3 when instructed to by updates procedure, then to 11.4. Neither one of these will load/play videos. Keeps "buffering". By the way, there was something about Flash incompatability with Real Player on the Adobe website. Who owns Shockwave Flash? Is it same as Adobe Flash?

I take it you tried using the "right click" menu? That doesn't seem to work, as you noted, but, you should be able to paste text by pressing your CTRL key and while holding it down, press the "V" letter key.
CTRL + C = COPY
CTRL + X = CUT
CTRL + V = PASTE

Suddenly can't play any web videos

I've had my Macbook Pro for over a year and out of the blue it has just stopped me from watching any videos online, e.g. facebook, youtube, one channel etc. I've updated my flash player, reset safari and firefox, restarted a million times and checked disk utility. I don't know what's gone wrong, someone help!! When I try and watch a video it is normally just a black screen, but if it does load at all it is never more than 3 seconds

The short version:
Go to Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility and select your volume and then select Repair Permissions.
Same directions are also in the OS Mac Help Menu.
The long version:
Save and/or quit your applications & doucuments
Go to Applications>Utilities Folder
Click Disk Utility
Highlight your STARTUP HD.
Click the Repair Disk Permissions button. (Don't worry about verifying)
At the bottom of window when the repairs have finished, you will see the “most important thing”:
Permission Repairs CompleteThe previliges have been repaired or completed on the selected volumn.
Restart your computer (Optional).

Can not play any video after update to 4.4.2

Can not play any video after update to 4.4.2, it says always that i have to reconnect my HDMI Cable, reason HDCP error.

I have made some tests,
I can only view Trailers, every thing else dosn't work any more. I could not play any Video via Airplay. I tried to do it fom my IPhone 4, my IPad 1 and from my MacBook Pro 15"/i7 2 GHz/Mac OS10.7.2.
It always says the same error.
I reset the divice again and made a restore, but the same error.
I change the HDMI cable, same error.
It works fine before, I had 4.4.1 on it. I'm using a Toshiba Beamer MT700.

I had to reset it again and use the desktop software reinstalling the entire basic software. On your desktop blackberry software go to the software up date thoght tools and if there are no newer veresions available, chose the botton for las version and intall it.

New Macbook pro suddently can not watch any online video or movie

I just bought a new 13" Macbook pro 4 days ago, the first day everything work well (include watching online movie or video), yesterday, I suddenly found I can not watch online movie or video anymore, the symptom is: I can open any website with online video, but the video area is BLACK, i tried many different website, they are all the same, can not watch any online video.
then I call apple phone support, i was told press Commandoption+PR, after that, it works again. but today the same problem happened again!!! I know I can still use the same way to fix the problem. but I do really want to know, what's the reason? is my NEW Mac has problem? is the problem big or not? should i return or exchange it? I hope someone could help me and answer my questions.
Anyway, right now i am very disappointed and frustrate, don't know what to do, I am a student, buy a mac is not a little money for me!

After migrating to a retina macbook with mountain lion I can not play windows media player files anymore. I use flip4mac pro 3.0 and quicktime 7.6.6.
The message I receive is: De bewerking kan niet worden voltooid. (OSStatus fout -50). I also have problems with zip files that can not be saved on the desktop anymore while unzipping.

I actually installed Quicktime pro and Flip4Mac Pro again after I bought the Retina Macbook. Today I did it again but still get the same OSStatus error -50. I guess there is some old file that has to be removed. Flip4Mac comes with an uninstaller. Quicktime does not.
I read that his could be something with security that is why I mention the problem with the zip files as well.

Because the issue is that you don't have sufficient available space on your phone, not that you don't have enough space in your iCloud account. Adding storage in iCloud does not give you more space on your phone.
You can check your available space by going to Settings>General>Usage. You'll need to delete or sync some data off your phone to freee up more space.

Yikes! All of a sudden, in the last day or two, I've lost the ability to play ANY media file on my mac mini with 10.6.4! I've downloaded some video from my iPhone 4: the video is there, I can scrub to any point in the video but when I click Play, it flashes briefly to Pause, then the icon reverts back to play. I click play in iTunes, I see the indicator that iTunes should be playing the song, the play button changes to pause but the slider never moves, the music never plays!
I'm posting this here because I don't think it's specific to any one application. I move a video from the iPhoto archive to the desktop and it still won't play. I can scrub within the file in QT Player, but it won't play!
No new downloads of note, though I did upgrade the mini's memory from 2 gb to 4 at roughly the same time. Everything else seems to be working normally.
Would appreciate any insights! I've restarted and repaired disk permissions.

Turned out the problem wasn't QT at all. I did some additional investigation after I posted my query and discovered that, in the Sound control panel, NO devices were listed. I knew that was a big problem, and likely related to my memory upgrade in the mini a few nights before. Sure enough, it turned out that I'd failed to connect the little copper colored strip you see when the lid of the mini is popped up. Problem solved. Mac mini memory modders beware!

Itunes will not play any songs/videos; also, videos wont tranfer to iPod.

This problem started a couple of days ago; It started after I downloaded 6.0.2... There were a bunch of problems to my computer because of that, although they might not have been related. In any case, I ended up using system restore 3 times and uninstalling/reinstalling itunes quite a bit.
Now my computer's back to normal, except one thing: iTunes. Its acting... funky. Weird. It wont play any songs/videos on iTunes itself, which is annoying but I don't mind it as I just use my iPod... EXCEPT that it wont transfer ANY videos to my iPod. NONE. Even the old videos on it were erased as iTunes said that "They can't be viewed". I KNOW these videos work on my iPod as I converted them to specifications and plus, I've seen most of them before on it (Also, I have a few music store bought videos and they wont transfer either). It seems to be a deep rooted technical problem inside iTunes, but I can't seem to fix it.
I've repaired/reinstalled/completely uninstalled, wiped reg. values with a cleaner, and it STILL doesn't work...
I need help. This problem is weird, and I'd like it fixed. I want to see videos again...

If anyone else can't play songs from their device in iTunes, try steps below which solved my problem:
Be sure your device is selected.
Right Click anywhere on Contents screen.
Select "Reset Plays" your selected song(s) should begin playing.
The "Pause, Play etc" buttons are no longer greyed out.

Wireless network setup with Microsoft virtual mini-port adapter, since connecting my iPad to the network I can't play any video in Safari in sites like Youtube or cnet...etc. also other Apps that depend on Safari to play videos has the same problem.
I tried my iPhone 5s, the same problem. Both iPad and iPhone has iOS 7.1.1.
The strange thing is that My iPhone 4 iOS v5.1.1 doesn't has the problem with this wireless network.
Anyone had the same problem. Please help.

In my description are no valid information for the videocodecs I should use and there are no details for resolution. And which kind of audiocodec is able to be played by my player?
