Firefox sync gives me an unknown error when attempting to sync.

I am trying to sync Firefox 4 between two different windows machines. I set up a sync account on one, and then add the other computer as another device. As many times as I try this, only one computer will sync, and the other give me the error: Sync encountered an error while syncing: Unknown error. Sync will automatically retry this action. I have had no luck resolving this and would love some advice.

I have the same issue with the nightly and aurora versions. Firefox 11 works fine.

  • "Unknown Error" when attempting to publish through Muse

I recently updated my log in information to better organize log in credentials that I currently have deployed. I edited just the basic email and password as well as adding another one of my alternate email addresses. When I did that the ability to manage the site I have published through muse disappeared through the website interface. I also am receiving an "Unknown Error" when attempting to publish from the Muse application itself. Log in credentials are definitely updated and correct, just not sure where the others went.
Any help in the right direction is appreciated!

    Hello,
I'm having this exact same issue. Same popup. Could I get some help resolving it as well?
I am an admin on the site in question, not the owner. I updated my BC email address to match my adobe CC username/email, but it still doesn't seem to be working.

  • "Unknown error" when attempting to sign in on Itunes.

    Hi there
For the past hour i've been trying to log onto itunes with my Apple ID, which has been working fine for months, except every attempt I do ends up with "Unknown error" in red letters in the middle of the pop-up box used to enter your ID and password. If I try a second time it tells me I've entered my password incorrect too many times and that I need to change it for security purposes.
I know i'm not using the wrong password since i've had it reset moments ago and still have the same problem. I've managed to log onto Apple's website fine with the password, so there's no room for doubt that i'm entering my ID and password incorrectly. I've tried searching Apple and other websites for help with this to no avail, all of the results I get seem to be related to completely different 'unknown errors'. I've taken a screenshot of the problem.
Any advice? Am I overlooking something simple?

I just had this error occur under 11.0.2 (26) on a newly installed machine.
I then tried to log into this forum discussion so I could respond to this thread, but I found I needed to login *twice* and then reset my account username.
Once I did this, I was then able to login to iTunes again.
Seems apple's backend had some kind of verification flag set on the account that could only be resolved via this web forum...   Either way, it seems that fixed it.

  • "Unknown Error" when attempting to move/drag a folder in the Folders Panel in Library Module. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thank you.

    Hello fellow LR users,
Last night, I attempted to drag one sub-folder into a different Parent folder but then I received the "unable to move & unknown error" notification. After a few more attempts I received the same notification. My solution was moving the folder into the different Parent folder outside of Lightroom. I moved the folder in my PCs Operating System.
Has anyone else encountered this issues? Any solutions?
    Thank you,
    Daniel

Your method of using the OS is considered best. If you copy (drag) a folder to a new place you simply right-click on the folder name in the LR Library and choose update folder location. Then navigate to the new location.
LR automatically updates the catalog database. You can then delete the original folder.

  • Error 108 (Unknown Error) When Attempting Export

I purchased Quick Time Pro in November and successfully saved and exported some video for use with my IPod at that time.
The next time I attempted the operation, I started getting this Error 108 message every time I hit the Export option.
Anyone else had this problem or have any idea what system setting I may inadvertantly have changed to cause this?
      Windows XP

Sorry for all of the extra questions.
    My understanding:
It used to work and now it doesn't?
Have you tried using a different user account? Does
    it "work" again?
Have you recently installed any different software or
    video codecs?
I suspect a third party software conflict.
That's okay...I appreciate the clear communication.
Yes, I was able to save video from the web, export it and load it to my IPod on a couple of different occasions initially and then all of the sudden all I would get was the Error 108 message.
I haven't tried using a different user account...do you mean a different Apple user account and how would I do that?
The only thing I can think of is that I think I recently updated my Real Player and Rhapsody players but both programs were already on my system before the problem began.
Isn't there a way to check for conflicts? I'm thinking the device manager or am I totally off here?

  • Unknown error when attempting to connect to my speakers via airtunes

It was working fine yesterday morning and just like that it ceased to function correctly. The airport express and the airport extreme base station are both seemingly functional. Any ideas?

  • Unknown Error when I Logging and Transfer P2 Card files in FCP 6.0.6

I have been trying for the past two week to Log and Transfer P2 files to my external hardrive using FCP 6.0.6 unsuccessfully.
Originally I tried to Log and Transfer directly from the Panasonic HPX-170 in between my shooting. The first time it was a success but from then on I always get the same Unknown Error when attempting to transfer. When I encountered the Unknown Error during the second transfer I went on to create folders with the P2 contents on my external Hard Drive.
When I drag any of the P2 folder content on the Log and Transfer window I can see all the clips. I can successfully transfer small B-roll clips I have but any big size file (all my interviews) return an Unknown Error symbol at the end of the transfer. I believe this is probably why I didn't encounter any issues during my first time.
I tried deleting the preferences in FCP and then Logging and Transfer and it works if the systems settings are set for the Mac Pro but not for the external HD. The problem is I don't have enough space on my Mac. I have cleared 45GB of space but my P2 files total 54GB. I tried the same process with a Mac Power Book with FCP 5.1.4 and again in encounter the same problem.
The external HD is a 1TB Western Digital that I have used before with FCP for editing but never before with P2 files. Its in good working order and has 79GB free space remaining. Both the camera and the P2 cards (16GB and 4GB) are also performing as expected.
    I would appreciate any suggestions.

#36 - One or More P2 files failed to import.
Shane's Stock Answer #36 - "One or more clips failed to import..."
Very often in the field with this camera the camera operator will delete clips from the P2 card that they just don't like. That is the beauty of this camera. But, the still for that video file (located in the CLIP folder in the CONTENTS folder)...the still that you see when you are in the P2 Import window...is not deleted. So you will see the image, and the name, but the video file would have been deleted.
What you can do it compare the file names in the VIDEO folder and CLIP folder and see if anything is missing. If something is, then you know what the problem is. You can then just import the rest a few at time, skipping that one.
ALSO...in the P2 Import window...in the P2 Browser, there is a little sprocket drop down menu. Click on that and choose PREFERENCES. Uncheck REMOVE PULLDOWN and then try importing again.
ALSO...make sure your file names aren't too long. Try shortening them and see if that works.
ALSO make sure that the folders that contain the CONTENTS folder doesn't have any odd characters like /!@#$%^&*()?.

  • Sync Setup gives unknown error when creating account

Getting "unknown error" when trying to setup sync account. i have the latest version of firefox. i cleared the cache. I did a factory reset. none of it worked.

  • "Unknown Error" When Syncing Photos

Okay, so I have a 60 GB fifth generation iPod. I can get music, videos, everything but photos to sync just fine. Originally I tried to sync the photos from a 450 MHz. iMac G3 running 10.3.9 and iPhoto 4.0.2. I got a "-37" unknown error when trying to sync the photos (the music worked just fine, albeit slowly). Technically this setup is supported, although not recommended. So then I sent the photo library over to my October 2005 Powerbook G4, running 10.4.7 and iPhoto 5.0.4. The upgrading of the photo library went smoothly, but the iPod still would not sync the photos, this time giving a "-50" unknown error.
I have restarted the computers and iPod, used every possible USB port, etc. I restored the iPod on the iMac and that didn't work. I have not restored it from the Powerbook, as the music library on the iMac is large and it takes a long time to move it over USB 1.whatever it is. If anybody thinks this will solve it I will try though...
So, is the iPod the problem?
    Thanks, Zach.

it could possibly be a photo that is causing it... corrupt or wrong format or something...
try only putting the photos on in several stages so that you can find out which one it is...
just a suggestion... i dont know if it will help

  • I have just started using the new premiere CC. Gives unknown error when using CBR

I tried using the same export setting for mpeg2 that I used in CS6, but CC will say Unknown error when I try to export. It will only work with Vpass 1 or 2. Any ideas why?

    Hi MEW1,
Is the printer connected wirelessly or wired?
Go to Preferences and under categories go to > Convert to Pdf then select the Image Capture and then hit ok button.
Close Acrobat and then relaunch it and see if it helps you while you do scanning.

  • TS2771 I'm trying to update my ipod touch and it gives me an unknown error. -1, i tried to reset.

I'm trying to update my ipod touch and it gives me an unknown error. -1, i tried to reset. Someone told me there is a reset option on the status screen on itunes, couldn't find that.  so i just held to 2 buttons until apple showed up.

Errors when updating leads to corrupt system files and this may be your problem. If you're using windows, connect your device to PC and run any third party app like Syncios. If it detects, you maybe in luck and try to back-up your data if possible. I hope that it won't and if doesn't, there is no other way to recover files. You should be restoring with iTunes and all data will be erased, or else your device may become unusable.

  • Get an error unknown error when trying to access app store

I get an unknown error when trying to access app store on my iphone 4...I have turned it off and on, updated the software, etc.  I have never been able to sign in.

You could add your contacts in one by one  (or a few at a time) on whatever you are syncing with (Google, MS, etc.) and try and catch which contact is causing problems when you sync.
If you've been helped click on , if you've been saved buy the app.

  • Unknown error when converting to mp3

I am trying to convert a track I just downloaded from the itunes store to an mp3.  I have done this many times and I know how to do it.  Except now when I select to convert to mp3, I get "Itunes Unknown Error (-3)".  When I try to convert to one of the other options, it just gives me the first 15 seconds.  But what I really need is the mp3.
    Stefan

I too have been getting this error when attempting to convert a newly purchased song to mp3.  This has only started happnning recently in iTunes 10.6.3.25.  It turns out that this happens when the newly purchased songs are not complete.  The real problem seems to be with downloading new songs form iTunes Store.  iTunes reports a successful and complete download, but when I go to play the song, only 30 seconds to a minute of audio exist.  It has been occurring so frequently, that I will not purchase another song until the problem is fixed.
