Firefox unable to connect? Help?

My firefox browser is unable to connect.This started last night after my browser froze (i guess i had too many tabs open) so i closed it and restarted my laptop.Also i've been ending the Firefox process a lot in windows task manager.In the task manager it next to
"firefox.exe" the CPU is at 0.Whats going on? What did i do wrong?

Firefox unable to connect to webpages

Hi,
I am running Firefox 7.0.1 on Win7x64. Many times lately Firefox is unable to connect to webpages. It just hangs there saying "connecting" with the spinning ball on the tab, but nothing happens. No error message, no nothing.
I know it is not a problem with the Firewall. I have tried in Safe Mode and have the same problem. I know it is not an internet connection issue as all other browsers work fine. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, to no effect.
This problem generally manifests itself a minute or two after opening Firefox.

Firefox unable to update - Help please

Hello, I am trying to install the latest update of Firefox from 3.6.3 to the new update 3.6.6 and I get the following message:
"A recommended security and stability update is available but you do not have the system permissions to install it. ....."
I am logged on a mac with administrator access and cannot understand why the error occurs. I do not want to complete a fresh install and lose all of my system settings and favourites. Can someone please help ???

Firefox unable to connect after update!

I performed the Firefox upgrade to 4.0.1 today and now Firefox and IE8 won't connect to internet. Safari is able to connect as well as 2 other computers so I know the internet is working. Also IM programs work pointing to the internet working.
I tried removing Firefox and IE still wouldn't connect, I then tried to reinstall to Firefox 3.6.17 and it completed, but it won't open.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

Firefox unable to connect

I have followed every single step in the article. I have installed and re-installed firefox, cleaned my cache, run every malware program, even restored a former version of firefox and run a system restore on my computer from before the problem occured. This morning my computer powered off without warning and when I rebooted, firefox would not work. I can connect to explorer and my remote desktop at work, so I know the internet connection works (even though I have still powered off and repowered my routers).

Unable to Connect - Help

The mystery:
We restarted our router because none of us were receiving internet. After removing and adding the network, Laptop1 can connect, but Laptop2 cannot connect.
Laptop2 has "exellent signal strength" but no internet access. We've checked the network type and encryption type - both match the settings that are working for Laptop1. We've tried turning off the firewall and virus protection, but still can't access the internet.
I pinged the router IP address and the server from laptop2 and none of the packets are being lost. We've tried manually adding a network with all the IP and server information from laptop1.
We've also tried things like restarting laptop2 and adding and removing the network. We'd love any suggestions for things to try.

Try the MAC address clone from the router's setup and copy your LAPTOP 1 MAC address into it.

For some reason, since this morning, any bookmarked or previously visited website works, and some others But new links or even pasted or typed in addresses don't. Must.figure.this.out! I don't have extra firewalls/security other than the standard mac ones and have restarted the computer and also rebooted all devices. Operation is safe mode has same results. Cleared cache and cookies.
Any ideas?

FIREFOX START BUT IT DOSN'T OPEN ANY SIGHT "UNABLE TO CONNECT"

when I start firefox , it start but it dos'nt work and even not make any search or open any site , screen shots of both screens send you for clarification. I "remove" firefox from add/ remove programme, del directory from "programme file " and download fresh firefox 8 and install , make firewall protection on low profile , but problem is still there , firefox unable to open any web page. pls advice me of what I do ? My operating system is Microsoft XP.

Contact the developer's support facility, same as with any other software that Apple didn't make.

I have a macbook laptop. When I go to open firefox it opens but when I try to get into a website such as www.yahoo or any other, a menu pops up and says it is unable to connect to the server check your internet connection or if u have fire wall check to see if it is set for firefox to connect. I have never had this problem before. All of a sudden it does not want to work and I need firefox to work.

My Firefox automatically updated to Firefox 8. Since doing so, when I open the browser the screen displays a box saying 'Unable to connect' and says the same for any website.
