When I try to start up firefox this message comes up:

Current Firefox versions require a Mac with an Intel processor and OS X 10.6.
Firefox 16 is the last version that runs on Intel Mac OS X 10.5.
You would have to update to OS X 10.6 to be able to use current Firefox releases.

That is precisely the WRONG thing to do. You should never delete, but uninstall.
Now you need to look for, download and run the Adobe CS Cleaner tool.

Running a linksys WRT54GS which works fine on laptop with CAT5 connection and did previous on old laptop with Netgear PCMCIA.

Thanks people, i dont want to have to be forced to use a pcmcia card and bin this mini card.
Tried to not use windows to manage it? ie use the msi software, changed channel in MSI software to channel 10. It cannot see any networks at all, but couuld previously see neighbours with netgear pcmcia.
Note, I had this mini pc card working before i reinstalled xp, but doesnt now.

Have you tried any later drivers (found here)? Do you know if MSI actually makes the wireless part (MSI sometimes just brands another companies product)?
As far as answering so late, it depends on where you are. This forum is world-wide. Right now it as actually 2:48PM (compare to the time it says my post was made above). So while all the Europeans are (supposed) to be asleep the americans are chugging away.

Why is Firefox v36 asking "Do you want the application 'Firefox.app' to accept incoming network connections"? It never did before, so what should I say?

I'm on a Mac OS X 10.6.8 Have just upgraded Firefox from v35 to v36.
Every few minutes I get a message "Do you want the application 'Firefox.app' to accept incoming network connections?" It's never done that before, so why now (v36) and what should I say?
The message goes on, "Clicking Deny may limit the application's behavior. This setting can be changed in the Firewall panel of security preferences." The other option button is Allow.
The computer has always had Firewall switched on. Is Firefox suggesting I now switch Firewall off? What has changed since v35? Has Mozilla offered any information about this?

My ipad wont connect to my wi-fi at home what can i do?

Can someone help me with connecting my ipad to my wi-fi please? I have found the connection name and typed in my WEP security key but the signal that tells you its doing something is still turning and the top left says no sim but i dont have a sim card? Can i just put an ordinary sim card in? And where would i put it?

First, your sim card is for cellular (3G), not for wifi. I don't understand how you got a 3G model without a sim installed but, if that's the case for some reason, I guess I'd at least make sure that cellular was turned off in Settings. This is just a guess, as I don't have a clue what, if anything, a missing sim card would have on wifi operations; it would seem not much, but who knows?
It sounds as though you've identified the network that is set up wherever you are and you are trying to join it, you are asked for the password, you type that in, and get only the progress wheel spinning? Is that what you were trying to say? If so, did you get a popup message saying "Unable to join network ..." when the password was entered?
If not, if you think the password was accepted but the connection to the network not completed, then try resetting things on both ends. I'd just turn the iPad completely off and, at the same time, power down and reboot your router: Read the directions for doing that, but it's usually just a matter of turning off, unplugging for 30 seconds or so, then plugging the power cord back in, turning on, and letting it go through its boot and checkout process. While doing that you can bring the iPad back on also and then try the wifi connection again.

Connected MDM and LDAP, but but now what? Why user mapping?

In my last thread, I posted that I was not able to connect MDM with LDAP. I was finally able to.
My problem now is I have to define user mapping in SAP Portal for the MDM business iViews to work.
By connecting MDM and LDAP, I got the benefit that now the authentication and authorization is happening via LDAP.
But this does eliminate the need for user mapping. If this is the case then why the real benefit of using LDAP?
In this case this becomes worse as I need to know the user's LDAP Password which no body will share for sure.
Any ideas? I want to get rid off this user mapping stuff.

without knowing specifics of ur architecture, i can quickly point out two things:
1) LDAP is primarily used for authentication, true.
2) Portal User mapping should not be an issue if u already have portal tied up to the active directory or some kind of single sign on?
So portal knows the users who has logged it, polls the Active directory for authentication and Active directory logs into MDM with that users role.

AFTER downloading Firefox 4.0 I get a "system does not support" message and nothing happens. My old Firefox has been replaced by this one that dosn't work.

Asked by Firefox to download Firefox 4.0 for OSX I did so. It replaced my old Firefox that worked fine. When I try to open it I get a Firefox "cannot be launched" window and nothing more happens. I tried to redownload Firefox 3.616 but to open it I get a "choose an application" message and I don't know which application to use.

What is going on? I can't believe that it's virtually impossible to find a place to download the old version without going through all kinds of hoops and hoping that someone was brave enough to face the confusion of getting to the right place in order to find a replacement version. Why is system compatibility check not available before downloading? 4.0 downloaded and installed without ever stopping to check compatibility, which would have saved several hours of trying to figure out how to get the old version back (and it's no easier when you have a brain injury believe me!)
And I'll still be forced to use this sucky new version in a "short time?" Have you people totally gone off the rails?
