Firefox Version 17.0.1 is identifying itself as "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0" and thereby triggers bug-like behavior.
I am running Firefox Version 17.0.1, yet it's falsely identifying itself as "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0" thereby causing bug-like difficulties at "deviantART" http://layaboutjoe.deviantart.com/ and is even mis-identifying itself here. I have an IPhone 4 with software version 4.3.5 (8L1) installed on it. On my windows XP computer I updated I Tunes to 10.4.0.80 and since then my I Tunes quits while synchronizing with my IPhone. before i updated I Tunes everythings was running well. Can someone help me?
When you watch the progress bar trying to sync, can you see at what step the sync is stopped?
If it does not get beyond step one (backup) delete the latest backup in the list in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices and try again after that. To be on the safe side, copy the backup folder to a safe place before you start. It is located here:

The mian problem is that my firefox hangs when I am going to watch videos such as on Youtube after that when I minimize the firefox then it become ok for some time and then again hangs. I have updated (more than once) to Firefox Version 8.01. When I check Firefox Help:About, it confirms the version number and indicates that this is the current version. On Google, however, when I try to use G-Mail or +Google, gives me a message that my version of Firefox is no longer supported (and provides a link to download the current version). Additionally, Firefox itself, when I tried to use the Help:Submit Feedback menu option, indicates that I cannot use that option until I have first upgraded to the current version. Apparently, although I have upgraded, there is some marker or indicator that has not been updated from a previous version to indicate to websites which version of this browser is running on my machine. I would like to get this resolved, as it is keeping me from doing a few things I would like to do. By the way, I just looked at the dialog box below, following the comment "we've made some educated guesses about your current browser ..." it, too, indicates that my current version is 3.5.7.

I am on windows 7 and I upgraded to the newest verison of firefox and now it will not open. I have removed firefox completely and uploaded it again and that did not work. I then made sure it could get through my firewall and that did not work. So my latest attempt I removed firefox 10 again and uploaded the beta version hoping that would do it and once again nothing. It will not open at all. Please help - is there a live chat or a number to talk to someone at Firefox?
I think when uninstalling you may also have to choose (tick) to delete the preferences and other personal data like the bookmarks, stored passwords etc. to erase completely. If you are installing afresh, please try right-clicking on the file and '''Run as administrator''' to install. And when uninstalling, please also make sure choose to delete all data and also manually delete any '''Mozilla''', '''Mozilla Firefox''' or '''Firefox''' from %appdata%, %localappdata% and %programfiles%. You can open a location by typing for eg. %appdata% in the '''Run''' box (Windows key + R). You may also have to check the '''VirtualStore''' folder in %localappdata%. Files in the VirtualStore can be problematic. I think a clean installation may help.

I restarted my Firefox this morning and it automatically updated to version 9.0.1. Since that update, I am unable to open Firefox. When I try to open it (and this is on a Mac), it does not respond and freezes with a white screen, the tab says "connecting...," and there are no bookmarks or anything showing on the browser. It does not respond at all - I cannot even click into the navigation to change any of the preferences. Please, someone help! Not having Firefox is killing me!
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Every time I try to download anything firefox stops responding and will not do anything until I restart it. Can I revert back to a previous version, or is there a fix for it? When I restart firefox, then the download continues and all is well until I try to download something new (which I do quite often).

I downloaded Firefox 4.0 and it says to re-install the toolbar but I have not been successful in doing so. I went to the forums and tried all the suggested fixes but none worked. Can I go back to the older version? I had no trouble with that and I do not like this new version at all. I tried a system restore twice and it did not fix the problem.
I would imagine it's the MyWay Searchbar which is classified by most anti-malware scanners as adware, or even worse as spyware. I say that because I see "SmileyCentral" in your list of plugins and that's an add-on for that particular toolbar. You can disable that via Tools | Add-ons | Plugins.
There are a number of toolbars which won't work with Firefox 4 anymore due to the enhanced protection mechanisms in the browser.
Mozilla recommends that you only install add-ons from its own security site @ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/?browse=featured Generally speaking, those have all been tested and approved. The exceptions are those currently under review which are marked with a yellow banner to warn users that they haven't passed Mozilla's labs yet. -
