FIREFOX vs. GOOGLE CHROME
I need to fill out an application on a website that requirers FF or GC to navigate.
Safari not recommended.
Is one more compatible than the other for MBP?

Google software is garbage on the Mac!
Go with Mozilla FireFox. FireFox is optimized for OS X and is regularly updated by Mozilla developers.
ALL Googlewares are serious OS X CPU and RAM resource hogs on OS X and should be avoided on the Mac.
In addition, I'll add that I have, also, stopped using the Google search engine regularly (due to Google's privacy policies or lack thereof) and I now use DuckDuckGo as my default search engine.

For CRM 2007/7.0 IE8 was release conditionally. Basically it defaults IE8 back to compatibility mode when viewing CRM from IE8. Please take a look at the following OSS Notes

I haven't seen anything for Chrome and Firefox 3 in terms of official support right now.

Pdf In preview on firefox and google chrome seem ok Download becomes Blank.

Pdf In preview on firefox and google chrome preview are fine so open in adobe reader the pdf becomes Blank.
So i installed the newest update of adobe reader 11. still comes up blank. I tried on to other computers the file seems ok.
Saved file from one computer onto a usb and tried opening on problem computer still apears blank.
So then I uninstalled adobe reader then a program on the computer what came with the pc opned the pdf fine so i restarted the computer installed 11 came up blank.
So i restarted computer again installed reader 10 comes up blank
Uninstalled re installed 11 again then created a guest account on the computer opned file still blank
So then I imporeted the file to adobe Paint shop pro it will all appear in there.

I tried your advice to I saved both PDFs from your links (using right-click, then Save Link as), and they save and open correctly: I get nothing

This file we have downloaded before and lost so now we download it and get nothing. .
Could there be anything in the preferences or settings.
Saved the file from this computer that not worked as a pdf on to a usb thumb drive works on other computer.
Have Just noticed adobe reader becomes unresposive and then evently crashes when tyrying to click on other pages of this pdf that not working..

Navegadores de Internet como Mozilla Firefox y Chrome, necesitan un plugin para poder mostrar el Remote Front Panel. Normalmente cuando tu instalas LabVIEW Run-time 20xx, estos plugins se instalan automáticamente en las carpetas correspondientes de tus diferentes navegadores. Sin embargo, cuando tú instalas los navegadores después de instalar el Run-time, los plugins ya no se instalan de manera automática por lo que hay que hacerlo de manera manual. Firefox and Google Chrome problem

I updated plugins in Firefox - including Shockwave and now my Google Chrome browser crashes as soon as I open it. I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome, but it still won't work. For a split second when I try to open Chrome I get an error that says something about Firefox, but it is not on the screen long enough for me to read or hit continue. I like using Chrome for one of my email accounts and some other stuff. Any one else having this problem?

Normally there's no connection between Google Chrome and Firefox. Do you have any Chrome add-ons that interact with Firefox in any way, for example, to share data such as bookmarks, history, etc.?
Chrome has an integrated version of the Flash plugin, so updates for Firefox or IE usually have no effect on Chrome.
Does Chrome have a command-line switch to start up with a blank page instead of your regular home page? Or a "safe mode" with add-ons disabled? If so, you might try those.
Perhaps if you use a screen recorder (like Jing) you can record that fleeting message and reply back with whatever it says.

What video's are you trying to watch? Not many videos are in HTML5, the large majority of Internet Video's are Flash. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/installing-flash Installing Flash] can help you ensure you have the latest version of Flash.

Spry dataset not loading in IE8, working fine in Firefox and Google Chrome

I made this page http://www.clermont-herault-concerts.fr/Ulrike_Van_Cotthem_repertoire.asp and it renders fine in Firefox 3.6.7 and Google Chrome, yet not in IE8, all on an XP-platform. The page validates for W3C XHTML and CSS.
The problem is that instead of loading and rendering the data, the IE8 toolbar just shows something like "waiting for 2 more data". The same happens with the php-version of the same page.
An identical problem happens with this page http://www.clermont-herault-concerts.fr/Ulrike_Van_Cotthem_media.asp.
When debugging, IE8 reports two bugs:
1. the "Object doesn't support this property or method" in character 3 of line 31 of ImageMenu.js, returning Code:0 and then
2. the "Object doesn't support this property or method" in character 1 of line 1 of http://www.clermont-herault-concerts.fr/Ulrike_Van_Cotthem_repertoire.asp, returning Code:0
Strangely enough, I used the same technique in this page http://www.clermont-herault-concerts.fr/Ulrike_Van_Cotthem_concerts.asp, and here all goes fine.
Any idea what might go wrong and how to solve this problem ?

All work on the other browsers.
If i change the extension name of the page in ".xml" it works in IE.
But cose the page where i get the data is a dynamic page i can't name it xml. i need ".aspx" extension.

When trying to click on firefox I get a message, firefox is already running, and asks me to close it. I have no other programs running. I cant even get firefox thru google chrome or internet explorer.

This has been happening to me for months IN w &. It is REALLY ANNOYING.
MY WAy AROUND IT IS TO PRESS Ctrl,Alt,Del & select or start the
Windows Taskmaster.
Select Processes Tab & scroll down until you find "firefox.exe" , select it & at the bottom select End Process. In the next window press on End Process & Firefox will be closeD. Get out of that & you will be able to start Firefox.
A bit messy but saves re-starting the computer.
I WISH THEY WOULD FIND A SOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If any browser you try fails then I would look at your internet plugins since they are common to all browsers.

Downloading files from database in Google Chrome and Firefox

I am using a modified version of the get_doc to view files stored in the database. I am able to use this code perfectly in Internet Explorer but attempting view the data in Firefox or Google Chrome opens up a page showing the data in a binary format. I believe it may have something to do with the headers. The code is as follows:

Before Little Bobby Tables logs into your application, make sure you read up on DBMS_ASSERT to ensure that the table name and column are valid DB objects before you dynamically create any SQL statements.
ie prevent SQL Injection.
Other than that, use APEX_DEBUG.MESSAGE() to spit out some information... like which MIME/TYPE you are using.
It could be that the value stored in the database table is invalid.
hint: the ORDDoc data type could be used to detect the correct mime/type.
Finally, I've read somewhere that an APEX_APPLICATION.STOP_APEX_ENGINE() was needed at the very end of the process.

Thanks to some previous help from this forum is working great.
One problem is that the images don't fade between in Firefox or Google Chrome???

I have tried as suggested.
But the problem seems to be browser specific. With the changes you suggested it works fine in IE and fades between images.
The issue remains that it does not fade when viewed in Google Chrome or Firefox, it just changes from one picture to the next.
any idea's?

Check if Style Resource Readers SharePoint group has permissions on the site, permissions to the style library and make sure that this library provides Style Resource Readers with restricted read.
If you don't see Style resource readers on the site, go to that library and set that permission. you could also just load your installation media to a folder, and execute on setup.exe, select repair option. This second option of the installation
media is the cannon vs. flyswatter approach though, but it will work

CLEAR WiFi Google Chrome Problems

Hi everyone --
I just got CLEAR 4G WiFi internet (Apollo is the name of the hardware.) Connected fine to the internet but only with Firefox. Google Chrome renders some pages ( like weather) but nothing where I need to log in ( so no, Gmail no Facebook etc.) Anythere I need to log in, it times out. I get the "The Webpage not available. Error 7 (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out."
I did not change any settings. Google Chrome worked just fine when I was on a different network. Anyone running into the same problem?

Delete the Chrome preferences for your user by navigating in the Finder to the folder:
"/Users/<your user name>/Library/Preferences/"
the locate the Chrome preference file "com.google.Chrome.plist" and move it to the trash... Then try relaunching Chrome
