Firefox w/Win 7 and Windows Live Mail does not auto-hyperlink from Send Link. I know cut-and-paste. Is there fix?

On other computer, w/Vista, Windows Mail, clicking Send Link works perfectly, providing one click hyperlink. Running latest Firefox on both computers. Made Windows Live Mail default email. No help. Uninstalled Windows Live Mail and switched to thunderbird, made default. Didn't work.

I'm searching for a solution as well.
For now, when the compose message windows opens with the plain text link, I just click anywhere in the body of the message below the text. This will place the cursor at the end of the link. I then hit Enter, and the hyperlink becomes active.

In the article, only plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types was present. After resetting then closing Firefox, normal service was resumed.

Is PS Elements 12.0 compatible with Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail??

Is the Organize/eMail part of Elements 12.0 compatible with my Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail? I have never been able to make it work with my Elements 9.0 after many hours of trying. The problem is acknowledged by Adobe and a solution offered but the solution does not work in any of my three Windows 7 computers. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Brian, Thank you for responding. I actually have two different questions on the same topic so I'll discuss them one at a time.
1. When I purchased a new Windows 7 computer several years ago I also purchased PSE 9.0 because I had been told my old PSE 4.0 would not work with W7. I didn't get around to installing it until last fall--PSE 4.0 was working fine on the XP machine and I didn't have the time. PSE 9.0 installed fine but I could not email a photo from the Organizer. I recently got interested in fixing the problem which has turned out to be more difficult than I could imagine. I found a lot of evidence on the web that to make it work with W7/Windows Live Mail you needed to make some patches in the registry. I tried to follow the Adobe instruction a number of times but when I got down to: " 4. On your desktop, double-click SetDefaultEmailClient.reg. If prompted, click Continue. Click Yes on the Registry Editor confirmation prompt." it would not work. Double clicking would bring up the browser with some register-like statements: [Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft Internet Mail Message] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft Internet Mail Message\shell] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft Internet Mail Message\shell\open] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft Internet Mail Message\shell\open\command] @="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Windows Live\\Mail\\wlmail.exe /mailurl:%1" ]. I did not get a "Continue" to click on or a "Yes on the Registry Editor confirmation prompt". I got nothing to take action on that might cause the registry to be updated with the specified patches. I'm no expert on modifying the registry and this is beyond my understanding. It just didn't do what it implied it would and I'm lost. I've tried in on my WLM 2011 computer and on my brand new W7 notebook computer with WLM 2012. I tried it using my normal browser, Firefox, and using Internet Explorer.
PSE 9.0 does indeed show Windows Live Mail as an option under Edit/Preferences/Sharing and I have selected it. When I try to share a photo via email all seems to go normally to the end when I get the message: "Elements Organizer could not finish creating your E-mail message." And, that is really not very helpful. When I Google on that "Elements Organizer could not finish creating your E-mail message" I find that I'm far from being the only one with this problem and people with PSE 8.0, PSE 10.0 and PSE 11.0 have reported the problem. I've found no way to communicate with Adobe and even their main support number, 800-883-6687, comes on with a message "this number is temporarily unavailable"!! I've called over 50 times over several days. That seems quite unusual. It seems like selling a software product that is incompatible with one of the most popular Microsoft operating systems and email clients would not be a good thing. Sorry for all the words but I wanted to define the situation as well as I can.
2. Given all of the time I've I spent without solving the problem it seemed tossing my PSE 9.0 and switching to PSE 12.0 might have been a smart move many months ago. And, I'm considering it now. That is why I really would like to get some assurance from Adobe that the problem is fixed and that I will have no problems with PSE 12.0, at least with emailing from the Organizer. The news that it is working for you is encouraging and I hope others will report on the luck they have had. You say it works better with WLM 2012 than with WLM 2011 but I don't know what that means. It seems that the minimum requirement is that any time you want to send a photo via email, it works!
If anyone knows how you can contact Adobe, by phone or email, please let me know.

Well I suppose the good news is that I am not the only person with this problem but it has made me think of a possible resolution.
Trying to follow this logically, I am not getting any problems with my android devices which connect wirelessly so I am not sure that it can be slow broadband connection or intermittent line problems bearing in mind that my PC is connected to the router by ethernet cable which should be better than wifi. It would therefore seem to be the way that Windows Live Mail is connecting, and on checking I see that the server settings are different. I have matched my PC to the Android settings and I will report back the results.
I can quite see if the server keeps dropping the connection for some reason or different servers settings are being used to access the emails then this might trigger the request for a new password.

PSE9 and Windows Live Mail - Help

I am trying to send photos via "Share" email attachement and Windows Live Mail. I get to the part where you are supposed to be sent to WLM, and then it comes up with the error message "Elements Organizer could not finish creating your e-mail message. Alternately, you can use Adobe E-mail Service via the Elements organizer preference dialog." WLM has been selected as the mail server in the preferences section of Elements, and also in Windows 7.
I don't want to send mail through Adobe E-mail Service, but I did try that. I get to the same spot, and the entire program crashes.

Adobe have had problems with the Windows 7 email client ever since they issued a patch for PSE8.
Furthermore it will not work with 64 bit editions of Outlook, to the disappointment of many but you would think they would have sorted out Live Mail before launching PSE9. The product help screens are entirely misleading.
Both PSE8 and PSE9 are said to be Windows 7 compatible, but in reality they aren’t. Even after downloading the patch Adobe customers are still reporting problems.
If you are using a purchased copy of PSE9, rather than the trial I would suggest you raise a ticket with the support team and claim your entitlement to help with a solution.

I downloaded the Windows Live Essentials for Windows 7 running under Parallels 5.0.9310. When I try to bring up Windows Live Mail I receive the error:
Windows Live Mail could not be started. Closing Windows Live Mail. Your calendar contains corrupt data that is forcing Windows Live Mail to close. (ox8000fff).
I have:
1. Done a repair via control panel
2. Deinstalled just mail from the control panel, removed the registry entries for Windows Live Mail in hkey_current_user and hkey_local_machine.
3. Reinstalled just mail.
Nothing seems to work. I am still getting the error.

You can click Start, click Control Panel and click Clock, Language, and Region, click Date and Time, click Change time zone and uncheck the box in front of “Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time”, click OK twice.

I recently had to change my hard drive for my laptop (Sony Vaio). The IT guy replaced my HDD and ghost all my information
from old to new drive. Everything works perfect except for Windows Live Mail.
When I open WLM I get this error:

I have since done the following:
PROBLEM SOLUTION 1:
1. Close Windows Live Mail and any other Windows Live programs.
2. Click Start (then Run for

3. Rename the folder of the account you use to sign in to Windows Live Mail to
sync your calendar (ex. rename [email protected] to [email protected]).

I removed WLM (uninstall) and reinstalled and still nothing.

I also renamed the WLM folder and reinstalled WLM, then deleted the new WLM folder and still nothing.
PROBLEM SOLUTION 4:
I also tried to import my emails from WLM to Microsoft Outlook but I only have a copy of my mails from the directory.
I do not have an EXPORT copy saved anywhere. Is there any way I can export the WLM to Microsoft outlook?

I have had many problems with permissions on Windows Vista, 7,8 & 81.1. It is usually after an update or installation, especially one that requires a reboot to finish (some AVG, Windows Live, Windows Updates, etc). Once File(s), Folder(s)
and Registry Key(s) permissions are screwed up, it can take days to work them out if ever.
After having spent several hours on a clients PC and online forums with this problem. I transferred her user profile with a free program called
Transwiz (run as Administrator) to a zip file on the HDD. I renamed her user in manage User Accounts to "Username old". I then ran Transwiz again to restore the profile but telling it to create a new user using the original Username.
After it completed restoring the profile, I logged out of "Username old" and logged in to Username and all wass well, I only needed to supply the email password which is not transferred. When you move profile data, all the old permissions
have to be removed and <st1:personname w:st="on">new</st1:personname> permissions added so the data and files belong to the <st1:personname w:st="on">new</st1:personname> user. This cleared up all the permission
problems.

Firefox and Windows live mail won't play well together

If I open windows live mail from the task bar in windows 7 (64) I have to click on Firefox 5-10 times until it opens. If I open Firefox first, no problems. If I open live mail first, (which automatically opens messenger) I have to close both to open Firefox. Firefox is my default browser. I installed updates. Everything's current .

I have been puzzling yet again why my auto log in to Windows Live Mail no longer works.
Although I tick "remember me", after a reboot I am asked for my password again.
I then came upon this link:

It seems the BT Yahoo Toolbar installer changes the registry settings. Even if the toolbar is uninstalled the registry remains the same and auto log in to WLM does not work.
Downloading and installing "Make Messenger Remember Me" fixes the problem.
Yes, I know it says "Messenger" but if you do not use it, it works just as well for WL Mail.
This has been a pain for some time now and although I have been in contact with BT numerous times about this, they have never admitted that the Toolbar could be the problem.
Will the moderators please forward this post to the tech guys so that this problem can be addressed?

I assume that toolbar sits in the BTYahoo browser, (don't use it here) which is being phased out I think, so it's unlikely BT tech guys will do anything.
Even if the toolbar is uninstalled the registry remains the same and auto log in to WLM does not work so "Make Messenger Remember Me" could be a useful tool for those still irritated by this who turn to another browser.

Sync PC Suite and Windows Live Mail - Possible?

I had Microsoft Microsoft Outlook and Nokia PC Suite in Sync.
But I've changed my Laptop and now I have Windows Live Mail and Outlook
Express
I'm using only the Windows Live Mail, that has a calendar also.
When I install Nokia PC Suite, it says that it syncs with Outlook
Express and Outlook.
- Does Nokia PC Suite sync with Windows Live Mail at all?

Apparently Nokia is not listening to their customers and instead diverts them to a damn Nielsen forum to write down all their frustration and needs again and again.
Why is it so complicated to provide an easy syncing tool between Windows Live Mail calendar and the N8 and C7 or E52 phones i.e. their built-in calendars (e.g..). Yes Nokia, I have bought all three phones within a time span of 5 months and have NOW FINALLY DECIDED to end my Nokia-sympathy due to lack of listening support. It comes as a joke that the internet is full of grief towards this standard problem and that none seems capable to do something. Apparently none wants to do anything as the whole situation looks like a "friendly agreement" between Nokia and Microsoft. They call it Marketing, I call it short-term-wannabe-software- regulation-policy as an aim to support, e.g. Outlook!!!
Goodbye Nokia. I'll turn to Apple! Please excuse my frustration

Synching Blackberry and Windows Live Mail

Hi.. I am new to the world of Blackberry and not very technically minded !
I would be very grateful for some help with the following please:
I use Windows Live Mail for all my email addresses. When I delete an email from Blackberry this does not delete in Live Mail. How can I set things up so that when I delete an email from Blackberry it deletes the email from Live Mail too?
I would like to keep calendar on my Blackberry that synchs with a calendar on my laptop.. so information is viewed the same on both Blackberry and laptop and updates both ways regardless of where the information is inputted.  Is this possible to do and how?

Reconciliation between your BB and your email server will be governed by this KB:

From what you are requesting, it indeed should be possible. Therefore, please also check this KB:
KB13509How to reconcile email messages between the messaging server and the BlackBerry smartphone
and ensure that you have configured everything correctly. Also be sure that you are waiting an appropriate time length...it has been witnessed for deletion reconciliation to take up to 8 hours at times (it varies quite a bit based on a number of factors).

For this, it is indeed possible, but again depending on circumstances. You can reconcile your BB to the following desktop calendar applications:

Assuming you already have one of the compatible applications and it already has all of your data, then I suggest the following steps. It is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista/Win7, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
1) Download, to your PC, the RIM Desktop Software:

2) Install the Desktop Software onto your PC
3) Start the organizer configuration:
